Love, love, love this place. With the remodel over a year ago, it is ideal. Appointments can be made online, just bring in the hard copies of the lab order from your doctor. Don't rely on the doctor FAXing the orders to the lab. There is no front office staff so the fax just gets clogged with all the orders. Best is to bring in hard copies for them to process. You receive a text with a link the morning of your appointment. Once you arrive, you select the link and you are checked it. It alerts the technicians and they come out to get you. The electronic board shows up the number of people ahead of you. Those with appointments are prioritized. Very efficient, simple and easy. Great hours of availability but the early morning hours are the best. Ok, bye. read more

I've come here a few times with my mom for her appointments. They open right at the dot at 6am and once it opens you have to check in at their kiosks. There are three that folks can use. They don't have folks who can help out with the kiosk use - and so I know I've seen some folks struggle sometimes. Once you get the hang of it though it's not too bad. The waiting room itself is spacious and they have a monitor that shows who is checked in and what time their appointment is. Overall ok location that is clean. They are pretty efficient with their appointments too and so you can be in and out. read more

1st off the technicians are friendly, efficient, very helpful... however the check-in process, a whole 'nother story. the 1st time I went my QR code didn't work & I ended up getting a later appt. today a mother/son said their QR code didn't work & they had to register as walk-ins... after waiting 2+hrs they just left. Other ppl (mainly seniors) were really struggling w the kiosks. A couple of them after 15min hadn't made it past the home screen. A tech finally helped one of them. One senior lady thought she checked in but obvs didn't because after an hour her name still didn't appear on the screen. She also left without being seen. One guy only spoke Arabic & couldn't read the screen at all. For every minute a technician spends helping someone w the user-unfriendly kiosks, that's a minute spent away from their actual job. Good thing about this location they have plenty of station rooms compared to the ones I usually go to that have only 2 or 3. Parking is shared with all the other building in the area. I was in and out within, no joke, 10 minutes! And with no appointment! Let me start by saying I HATE getting my blood drawn, so much to the point that I didn't get an annual physical for over 5 years! But alas, I'm getting older and now force myself to go to the doctor. I was debating between which Quest location as well as my PCP's lab and all of them had terrible reviews and photos that freaked me out. It did cross my mind "I don't need to go, it's fine" but I put on my big girl pants and one morning ventured to Madison St Quest. There's plenty of parking and thanks to another reviewers photo, I knew to go to Building 8. The space looks newly remodeled! Which somehow made me feel *a little* better. Check in at the kiosk was super smooth and since I was a walk in, there was a notice of a 30-60 minute wait. I wasn't thrilled about that but as soon as I sat down, my name was called! There are multiple rooms in the back with writing on the wall that says "Relax.. You're in good hands". I think they're talking to me lol. I told the technician (?) right away "I don't handle giving blood well *nervous laughter* I'm super squeamish" and she laughed and did her best to distract me with conversation. The overall experience was seamless and while I don't want to come back any time soon, I would definitely visit this location again. Don't bother. This place might be alright but their employees are a different story. I encountered an employee who was awful...condescending, rude, and lacking customer service skills. I would mention her by name but her badge was conveniently not visible. When I asked to speak to a manager, she informed that there was no manger on the premises. Which, is pretty bizarre considering liability reasons for this sort of establishment. I chose to visit this location to save me a drive to my doctor's office for lab work. I have an allergy to adhesive. I had to have blood taken and I was offered tape or bandaids. I told the tech I was allergic to adhesive and I was told that I would have to hold the gauze on the puncture wound until it closed 10-20 minutes because they didn't have any options that weren't adhesive. I told the tech that adhesives cause my skin to rip off when I remove the adhesive and she said she was sorry but that there wasn't anything she could do or give me. I will find other places to go to in the future. The associate was great. It was easy as I had an appointment so I didn't have a wait time good and place was clean. The associate thankfully got my vein first try and didn't have any issues. Had they been able to give me something opposed to me having to hold the gauze I would have given them 5 stars. read more

Today my wife and I had an appointment for our blood draw. Our Dr sent over my lab orders but not my wife's. Laura the technician was wonderful. While she drew my blood (which was painless) I was calling our drs office to resend the lab orders for my wife. Laura had us wait in the hallway while she took care of another patient. Instead of telling us to come back another time she checked again and saw the drs lab orders for my wife. She said "I didn't want you to have to come back". Make appt online only If you're 10mins late, you'll need to reschedule Don't bother going here if you don't have an appt. Even if you're a walk in and other appts come up you'll be kick to the back. Don't bother waiting 2 hrs before closing if you don't have an appt (you can be queue on the list, but anyone who has an appt will bump you). It takes 15-30mins per person and they have have 4 stations (if it's staff as much that day). read more

I chose this lab because the normal Quest lab I went to did not have time slots available. Draw was good but beware when bringing in multiple MD orders. The clinician didn't read that there were two and only drew for one. When I questioned the one vial, he said it was all that was needed. I asked about a urine test and he also said that I was done and it wasn't needed. After asking to review the orders again, I ushered me out the door. I then called my MD and the order wasn't filled as they only drew for one request. I tried calling and there is only an automated service. This is one industry where AI and automation should be used sparingly. So now I need to reschedule an appointment with my MD. My advice: Find another location as this one needs to go back to customer service training and learning how to listen and pay attention to details. read more

Note: I hope this is the correct quest diagnostics as I went to this one in Skypark drive but the code was 24530? So to get here I had to input the directions to Olive Garden because I got lost. its the building next to Olive Garden on your right, keep walking until you see the entrance. then ignore the sign that says 24550, it'll be on the 2nd floor across the bridge. Don't bother taking the elevator, as its noisy and you are better off taking the stairs. Once you are inside scan with a code and if you happen to be like me and are 20 minutes late, you can join the waitlist which can be a 30-60 hour wait. But I got lucky because I only had to wait 5 seconds. I got in to get bloodwork done and it was like the minute clinic at CVS, they had all my information ready to go. The person attending me was very quick and efficient. She was very straightforward. and I got out in 5 minutes. I highly recommend arriving on time or early to account for walking and checking in. I also recommend purchasing your services online to save time. I noticed previous reviews mentioned poor customer service. While I get the person can be a lil cold, they are trying to get this done as efficiently as possible. Overall I would come back here again to get blood work done. read more

I usually go to the PV Quest, but this time I decided to check out the Torrance location. I was 10 mins late for my appointment, but as soon as I checked into the kiosk. I was surprised there was no one at the desk to greet or assist you. They have the front desk closed off and you have to check in with the kiosk. The waiting room is a big rectangular shaped room with chairs all around and a television mounted on the top of a wall. It wasn't turned on so you're not able to see the virtual line list. They called me within a few minutes after checking in. I was called in by the technician Sandy. She was very friendly and nice and made small talk to help me get through the blood work. I asked her if I can take a urine sample and she said it was fine. She was fast as well and allowed me to drink water during the blood drawing so that I wouldn't get dehydrated. This facility is clean and usually very efficient but if one of their techs is out, the entire schedule can devolve into chaos. As a walk-in very early in the morning (they open at 6), I can usually get in and out within an hour. However, recently I signed in and waited for 90 minutes and finally left without being seen. I highly recommend that if you need to get bloodwork done that you make an appointment instead of coming in as a walk-in. I recently had to come here to get my bloodwork done and luckily, I had an appt. and was called in pretty quickly. The young girl who drew my blood was very nice. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. When I had first arrived at Quest, I talked to a lady who was waiting right outside the ioffice. I asked her if she had an appt., but she said she was a walk-in. When I was leaving, I ran into the same lady with her husband and young daughter on the elevator. I thought she had been called in after me and got her bloodwork done, but I found out that they had been there for two hours or maybe even more and still had not been seen. Every time I called I was in hold for more than 20 minutes and was not able to speak with anyone. I ended up doing a walk-in, first thing in the morning, and the wait was over an hour long. There are machines that notify you are all screwed up and they don't wanna help you if you don't make an appointment they make you suffer out in the stupid lobby with the crummy chairs. The funny thing is PV location has computer problem and staffing problem the last year or so. The quest diagnostic in Torrance were very helpful and patient. This is definitely the go to location. Pretty easy process to set up for an appointment on their website. Got there a little early waited about 10 minutes or so blood draw went quick and painless great experience. Needle gauges seem pretty small so I suppose that helps. Also I read the negative reviews so I made sure to schedule my draw after 3:30 instead of those morning options. And people here are correct, calling will not get you to a live body but rather just recordings; so if your willing to fast-food style this process and schedule online; the process worked for me read more

Please consider who you have here on staff the women Oneka very unprofessional rude bad attitude. Discriminated my daughter today treating her very poorly. She didn't want to bother explaining a question about a previous bill yet wouldn't help us unless it was paid . I was forced to pay without having the opportunity to review the bill in its entirety for accuracy and when I pointed out her attitude she said I could leave the room. She had nasty unnecessary words regarding the bill she was frustrated and brought another woman to explain since apparently I wasn't understanding so she said. I was in shock of her bad behavior, I asked her to not draw my daughter blood and requested the other woman to do it. I also requested her supervisor and I was denied. Horrible experience. Walked in at 3:50 pm on a Friday, checked into the machine, and the monitor said only a 5 minute wait. They called me up to the counter within the 5 minutes and said they would call me in shortly and removed my name from the screen. I only had to wait a few more minutes before they called me in to get my lab tests done. I had prepaid for my labs online, so I wonder if that expedited the process? I didn't even have to show my health insurance info to the receptionist. The staff was friendly and professional, and the person that drew my blood did a great job on my small veins. (Sometimes it's a nightmare where they prick me all over to get a good vein...). I was in and out of the place within 15 minutes. Awesome! And plenty of parking in the parking lot, too. After being in and out of hospitals with frequent lab work for years, I've been told I'm left with one good arm for blood work, as the veins on my other arm have been left scarred and unusable for drawing blood. Being that I'm a tiny person under 5' and 100lbs who hasn't grown since age 10, I've been informed by my hospital phlebotomists to always request a pediatric needle to preserve the veins on my arm since frequent routine labs will be a part of my life for years. I don't know why phlebotomist Nina at this location decided to tell me "okay" when I asked for a pediatric needle, and then used a 21 gauge needle. I've spent years fighting with doctors to take me seriously, to take my symptoms seriously, and I'm tired of having to do the same with phlebotomists. Please listen to patients even if you think you know better. read more

They may be nice in the office, but you cannot speak to a human to make an appointment. They do not immediately fax or send the results over to the doctor that ordered the labs. The doctor needs to go searching for the result. How is an 86-year-old woman supposed to make an appointment when she has no idea how to use the Internet or automated appointment scheduler. This company is not user-friendly. They do not cater to the majority of their patients, whom are the elderly. If my mom could use another lab, she absolutely would. Covid 19 social distancing makes no difference and I would not say the clients are very compliant with distancing themselves from one another. When I arrived to drop off a specimen for a patient, I was shocked to find the line all the way down the hall on a saturday morning. A worker popped out to announce a client name and I was able to ask if there was a separate line to drop of specimens. She told me I can just walk in to do that. Out of the Quest lab locations offered to my by my new employer for my required drug testing, I chose this location (instead of going to the location much closer to my home) because they offered (per their website) drop-in testing instead of requiring an appointment. When I got there, this unprofessionally-dressed woman barked at me that I'd need to go to their Long Beach location (seriously??) or make an appointment. She randomly scribbled with a yellow highlighter on a 687th generation photocopied page, shoved it under the partition so hard that it flew toward the floor, and walked away to talk to a coworker. I called her back (took repeated tries) to ask what in heck she was supposed to be calling my attention to with her highlighting on the page. She bellows, "Ah told you!" I said I came to this location for a drop-in appt because my job start date was imminent. She replied that they haven't had drop-ins there for three years. What??!? No answer at all when I called the lab. Surely I'm not the only person in three years to protest their time and resources being wasted. Seeing I was getting nowhere fast, I went online to find different options. The first appointment available was after my job start date. I then called the relevant department at my new employer, and they directed me to a completely different lab only 1.5 miles from my home. Drove straight there, did the paperwork, gave up my fluids, and was home an hour later. THAT's the way to do things. Soapbox Moment: During my time on earth, I've witnessed and experienced so very much of the medical profession's abuse of patients' time and resources. I now fire medical professionals who think nothing of pulling crap like, for instance, waiting until I approach them after a 30+ minute waiting room wait to mention that the doctor was called out on "an emergency" and they have no idea when he'll be back. We pay them. From our paychecks, by working jobs that pay them -- we pay it all. They are not above us. They work for us. This was my first time visiting Quest, and I was surprised how clean the facility was. The office has 2 checkin stations, so it quite convenient. The office manager at the front desk is extremely polite and patient as so people did need some assistance using the checkin station. Rather than sitting behind the counter and trying to talk them through it, she go up and walked around and helped them. She also made an effort not to embarrass the person by making them feel stupid, she simply said, "sometimes these computers act crazy." The gentleman that drew my blood did it without me feeling a thing. He got me comfortably seated , then just kept talking about current events. Before I knew it, he was asking me if the blood containers had the correct spelling of my name. My head was spinning in amazement that he drew my blood and I didn't feel a thing. They also make you feel comfortable by taking extra precautions regarding Covid safety. They're wearing disposable gowns, gloves, and masks and sanitizing the station. read more

I was expecting an hour wait based on the previous reviews. Luckily I came at a time where only 2 people were ahead of me. I scheduled an appointment on their website for 2:45p on a Monday. I scanned my email to check in at the front desk and waited in the lobby area for 10 minutes. I like how there is a screen that tells you how many people are ahead of you. Usually, phlebotomists has trouble locating my vein to draw blood. The person who did my blood testing located my vein right away and was able to draw blood the first time. Needed too have blood work done for yearly physical. I went on line filled out all the needed info beforehand, made an appointment, easy to do. Got to the office on time, check in was super easy with the bar code they sent to my email. I was called in 5-10 minutes after my appointment time. Staff was super nice, got the job done fast and easy. I was on my way in 15 minutes. I would go here again, but an appointment is a must or you'll wait forever. read more
