After taking you in late they are extremely rude. If they have any questions about your paperwork they basically tell you they can't do it because they can only delegate 10 minutes per person. So if you need to call your doctor or look something up for them they say it takes to long and you need to reschedule. This place is a joke! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I am a very hard stick (having had many surgeries before, this I know!), and Tracy was very kind, patient and understanding. She went the extra mile by putting the tourniquet over my sleeve as to not upset me, and she even went and got and got an extra small needle, so it wasn't so bad at all! I have had to go 3 times in the last 3 weeks, and luckily, I got Tracy every time! If you have to give blood and live in the Gilbertsville area, please ask for Tracy, you will get excellent care:)

It's very organized and there's a helpful electronic dashboard on the TV that lists your name and expected wait time. I was seen promptly and each individual phlebotomist is able to check you in in their individual room. The phlebotomist who worked with me today was excellent and I barely felt a thing. I've been fortunate as that's been my experience most of the time. Is it because I've got a high pain tolerance? Maybe. They do a really good job.

At check in, the tech was understanding, caring, and met me more than halfway. She would honor my appointment once I was able to get the scripts in hand. Took care of that and I checked in as a walk in, she called me back within 7 minutes. Not only was she fantastic but also the tech that took the bloodwork. She was patient and compassionate to my unease with needles and took the time to make conversation and keep me from becoming overwhelmed. It was clearly an avoidable issue on my end, I could have better prepared and double checked and I had plenty of time to. There is one general check-in/waiting room for all departments and when we arrived there was no one else there. This location does urgent care, lab services, physical therapy, etc... We went there for laboratory services. My daughter had blood taken and had to get stuck two times. That's infuriating. How bout trying to palpate for a vein before jabbing my kid with a needle. That's phlebotomy 101. This lady's "visual inspection" for a vein on a child's arm proves her to be lazy and incompetent. Grrrr. It took almost an hour to get out of the place. Not sure why we waited so long...there was literally no one else there when we first walked in. No one exited the exam rooms while we waited. The place was like a ghost town. I couldn't imagine using this place for urgent care - I saw no sense of urgency in this place at all. I find no reason to return here.

This is the part that really upset me; they left me in the exam room for FIFTY TWO minutes before anyone came to see me! And the exam table had dried blood on it. Thanks for the bio hazzard exposure!
