If I could leave no stars I would. As most know during the pre employment process you have 48hrs to submit a urine sample for routine drug testing after you have accepted a job offer. It was impossible for me to make an appointment with this short window of time with Quest being my most convenient lab location. I decided to go in early at 8:20am as a walk in. I fully anticipated having to wait 30-45 minutes. However I was not expecting to have to wait over 3hrs will a full bladder. The staff at 898A N Federal Hyw, Pompano Beach, FL were completely unsympathetic to myself and my needs. As I sat in the waiting room for over 3hrs (during the Covid-19 pandemic) I witnessed countless numbers of people being very rudely and disrespectfully treated. I myself am a healthcare professional and I have never witnessed such nonchalant and disrespectful behavior in any office or lab. They should all be very ashamed to call themselves healthcare workers. I was in the office for far to long and certainly long enough to see that the staff at this office lack compassion. I had an appointment for a blood test this morning. I drove to Quest Diagnostics at 889 N. Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. First time I've been in circulation since the quarantine. I wore my mask and gloves. I went in and met Mimi at the front desk. She is such a delightful person and totally efficient. She checked me in and took my phone number and told me to sit and wait in my car and she would call when they were ready for me. Everything is operating differently in this pandemic, the new "normal". So I waited in my car, got her call and went in to have my referral papers processed. She took my ID and Health Insurance Cards, noticed my address was an old one and updated it and had a smile on her face the whole time as we joked back and forth with one another. She directed me to another room where I waited to be called to where my blood test would be taken. This was done by Diana, who was also extremely pleasant and extremely efficient. My veins are hard to find for blood tests for some reason but she had no problem and very quickly had 3 vials filled. She explained what I had to sign and why and in no time I was done. I can only say that I thoroughly enjoyed this new experience in my new hometown of Pompano Beach, having just moved down from New York in March. Quest Diagnostics' staff left me with a good feeling that I am in very capable hands when it comes to lab testing. I am left with a sense of security and peace of mind and the very pleasant experience from having met such wonderful people. The office runs very efficiently in spite of the enormous workload they have. Everyone was so respectful and took the time to clearly explain things without an attitude. If I could give this place a 0, I absolutely would. I went to check in and it said "approximate wait time 30 minutes" even though I had gotten there at the time of my appointment. I then selected "I will be outside, text me when my appointment is ready". So, I came back in after 30 minutes, keep in mind this appointment is for my ONE YEAR OLD. They told me that they "texted me" 30 minutes ago. They had the wrong number so I never received the text. After I came back in, no one advised me as to how much time is was going to be, the front desk gentleman was helpful at first, but basically told me to reschedule. I pleaded for them to help as now I had been waiting an HOUR. I asked 4 times how long it would be, my one year old is screaming in the waiting room. The gentleman stopped responding to me, so I asked another woman if she could please help me because my child is expiring and we had been there for over an hour. She told me that I was in the wrong and to "relax". What kind of customer service is that? I would NEVER allow my son to have his blood drawn by a woman who so blatantly disrespected me in front of the entire waiting room telling me to RELAX. Um. No. I will be getting her name and filing a formal complaint. I was in customer service for nearly 6 years, and I would never get away with speaking to customers like that. Went for my routine labs today,had an appointment and was seen in less than 5 minutes,staff as usual very professional and nice,my tech this time was MissVenehe,she was friendly and efficient,the lab was clean and orderly I always use this site for my labs they do a great job.!! read more

I had a stat test which was sent to Quest and they accepted. I was refused treatment, needed an appointment, which wasn't available until November. The inability to get a stat test (not covid) is detrimental to my health. If they can't do the testing, they should be accepting prescriptions. read more

I do not know what has happened to the quest diagnostic center in Pompano Beach that the staff have become so rude, insensitive, uncaring, and ignoring of patient care. As a licensed psychologist for over 40 years, I think I have the ability to make an accurate assessment of the staff's personality dysfunctions and functioning of their lack of patient care. Moreover, I have heard nothing, but complaints from my patients who have used the Pompano Beach office. I needed my blood taken and it has been a while since I've been to that office, but I will never return to that office ever again. I had carefully made an appointment, but I did not print out that I'd actually had the appointment and the time. They treated me on a subhuman level, it had been the worst blood drawing in my experience, they had to get additional staff, the staff were rude, the staff said I was acting like a baby because they hurt me and were digging into a vein, I had told them I had stage four cancer and University of Miami doesn't have all these problems. I was left bruised with both arms hurting. I didn't need the insults nor did I act like a baby when they were hurting me. At the age of 73 I am shocked that I was treated this way, in fact this was verbal elderly abuse. Total time was over one hour for one vial of blood. read more

WASTED MY TIME! I scheduled an appointment and was sent to another lab because they ran out of drug testing kits. Also I was told they would call the lab to inform them I was coming only to reach to the location and was told nobody can be sent by phone call. Very unprofessional if you don't have any drug kits just say so and that's all. read more

Whilst the new location is better, the same cannot be said of the staff who will discuss you with other staff members in front of you as if you are not there. Very rude and unprofessional with an attitude. read more

Attendant was rude and yelled into waiting room to get patients attention. I had a an appointment and still waited 25 minutes. To make matters worse, physician received the results and this office only did two of the three requested tests. Now I have to go again!! Incompetence. The Phlebotomist was very good. You need to improve your wait time staffing and customer service experience. read more

Today was my first visit to this Quest and I was worried based on other reviews. I shouldn't have been worried. The women working here were All professional, friendly, fair and humorous. I arrived at about 11:45 on a Wednesday and was in and out within a half hour and I did not have an appointment. I will be using this location for my future needs. read more

I was at Quest for bloodwork this morning. If I could give it a zero, I would. Very unhappy. When you are in the waiting room, there is a lot of laughing behind doors between the technicians. No problem there, EXCEPT, when you actually get in the room with the technician, there is no smile, no how are you, etc. This is a bit traumatic for me, and I am sure, for others, and a bit of human caring would go a long way. They also would not take my word when I told them I have difficult veins and that there was one spot where people had had good luck in the past. She wouldn't listen and checked the other arm first, finally deciding that I was right. Tried my other arm - and she chose the spot I had told her about at the beginning. She poked me, couldn't get the vein, then proceeded to pull back, then dig deeper - several times. No luck. She removed the needle and was prepared to try another spot. I stopped her and left. I'm going to Holy Cross tomorrow, even though it is not covered by my insurance. At least there, they are friendly, and they have always gotten my blood on the first try! read more

horrible customer service the lady d'arcy at check in is very rude nasty and unprofessional as she asked for my id and insurance i handed it to her in her hand she tosses it on the counter this one is close i asked questions and she gave me very sarcastic answers i will never come back and i do this every month i will drive out my way for better customer service if i could give 0 stars i will very upset read more

The receptionist was completely rude to most of the people signing in. She scolded them as if they were little children. She showed no respect and no compassion whatsoever. One man didn't understand the complete procedure for making an online appointment so she told him he had done it wrong and he would have to go home and do it again. One man picked up a blue pen laying on the sign in sheet and she snapped it out of his hand and told him to use the black pen attached to the sign in sheet because "that's what it's there for". She made sure everybody in the waiting room (which was full) could hear her embarrassing remarks to these people. Another receptionist sitting farther back in the office sneezed in her hand and never washed her hands or used sanitizer. She just kept about her business. A customer went to use the hand sanitizer from the dispenser on the wall and one of the nurses told him it was empty. She didn't offer to let him use the bottle sitting on her desk nor did she make any attempt to fill the empty container either. When time for the urine sample, the instructions stated using three wipe towelettes but there were none in the bathroom at all. Nobody had name tags on and none of the people I interacted with introduced themselves to me. I hope the lady who did my blood test was qualified to perform this procedure, although from the pain I felt, I doubt it. I will not come to this location again. read more
