I have been perhaps a tad too transparent with my ordeals at some of the Quest locations where I've been hurt before and to make matters worse--gaslit. The last two locations, however, one near Sawgrass and now this one, have redeemed past traumatic experiences with professional and caring phlebotomists. On this visit, not only was the provider kind, like the button on her uniform displayed, but she listened to me when I told her that my doctor had requested that the vials or tubes to be filled should be done in two parts on different days if I wasn't feeling well. She did exactly that and set up notes in the system for the completion when I return. In addition, although she didn't utilize the butterfly needle, she found the vein and completed the task on first try (hallelujah; amen). I didn't take photos because they had a sign that advised against it, but these labs all look pretty much the same. It was an overall positive experience and although no one ever looks forward to returning, I am at ease with coming back. read more

Quest makes it easy. Quest makes it so easy to get your bloodwork in. I had the tests my Dr wanted in hand, I made an appointment on the app, and the app gave me reminders. Once I got to the building I was able to check in on the app also. Within 5 minutes I was called back. The facility was clean and the tech was kind and quickly and painlessly took my blood. I was in yesterday for some blood work. The doctors orders were in the system, I could see them on the app. Apparently the technician was unable to see them, not sure why. Any questions about why she became very defensive. Eventually, she slam her hand down on all the paperwork, grabbed it and stormed out of the room. However, a young lady came in and took over and did the blood draw and everything was good. I would go back there again, but would absolutely not let that woman touch me. read more

What a surprisingly good experience! The best one I've had at any Quest office. All services are now by appointment, so first you must go online and book your appointment in advance. That was an easy project with lots of dates and times from which to choose. You get a confirmation that you can print out. It has a QR code. Bring a copy of your doctor's orders/prescription with you -- it makes it go much easier. On arrival, I just scanned my QR code at one of the two kiosks by the window. The gals at checkin were very pleasant and even offered to help an older person who had no computer knowledge. I had almost no wait. I was called back by the " beautiful" Shana who was a sweetheart. We had a nice chat as she was finishing the necessary paperwork and printing the labels for my tests. I never watch when I have my blood taken -- it's nothing personal -- but even this went well without any discomfort. My results were pretty good but there is an area I need to focus on this year and I need vitamin D. I never would have known! Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp seem to be the places they send you for blood tests. You'd think simple enough, but it's not. You best make an appointment through their websites. And as a suggestion, this Quest location is one of the better locations for blood tests. It's far better than Labcorp on Oakland, which turn into a regular freak show. The staff here is pleasant, polite and professional. You can also book an appointment on days that they don't do drug tests. So, if you're not going here for a drug test, I highly suggest you get an appointment when they don't do drug testing. read more

Arionna is the BEST at drawing blood! I was so happy she didnt have to poke me like a pin cushion! I arrived on time with my mask on! Thats a must masks on! I waited less than five minutes and was called in for the blood work. I sat in a private room and Arionna drew 5 viles of blood out of my body! She put the needle in ONE time and did not bruise me which is amazing! Normally I see people have huge bruises after having blood drawn. Today I had a 7:45 Am appointment 5 minutes later I was called in by Phlebotomist Sharon. I requested a butterfly needle Because I have very difficult veins So for the past 13 years I have had it done at Nicholaus children's hosp without any issues. Sharon said to me that supplies are very limited and it was up to her to decide what needle I needed since she was phlebotomist. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and let her use the needle she wanted which was a failed attempt she made excuses that I had not drank enough water Which was not the case . I let her tried my other arm with the needle her choice not the butterfly I requested. Again she failed. By this time she had an attitude because I said 2 strikes and your out!! Bring someone else to draw my blood because you are being rude and unprofessional the way you are speaking to me so please get your supervisor. She kept telling me that she has been doing this a long time. And she is the phlebotomist. Her tone of voice was elevated and un exceptable. Center manager came in after 3 requests. Myalin is the manager she is very soft spoken an listen and was very apologetic In the middle of our conversation Sharon the employee came back in and continued her rant Disrespectful to her manager in my opinion. Her manager asked her to stop and be quiet. A third person was called in with a butterfly needle and she drew the blood without any issues. This could of all been avoided if the employee name Sharon would of listen to the patients simple request. I hope corporate office follows up on my complaint about this employee that is a representative of Quest diagnosis a very poor one at most. This is ridiculous. Where is management??? This place doesn't indicate no walkins and I drove out there because there were two appointments on the website however the system wasn't working. This woman with an accent, decided"she's not taking" walkins" only three people In the whole waiting room, one was the lady's husband. I asked where it says walk-in, and she just said she's not taking walkins. Management has no idea they are just paying $$$ for people that don't want to work. I went to Quest this early this morning, and I was a walk in, one of the Phlebotomist- Jennifer was at the door calling a patient, and she stopped to asked me was I ok, and I told her that it was my first time there, and she actually, checked me in on the computer and then told me that someone will be with me shortly, it took 10 minutes and then the Phlebotomist- Jasmine called me and she was amazing and very professional and got me on the first stick. I have been coming to this Quest location for over a year now for various blood tests several times a month and I have to admit at first I was not a fan of it. The ladies seemed rude and can come off with an attitude. HOWEVER, after taking a step back and really taking a look at the bigger picture of what life is now with Covid I can't say I blame them for having a bad day. I myself have come in with an attitude out of frustration for not being able to get an appointment and the urgency of getting whatever test I need. It is not their fault nor mine. Communication is what I realized works in this location for a great experience. I have been to two other surrounding locations and it was awful to the point not even an employee would talk to me. No joke, in Hillsboro I had another patient tell me to wait outside cause no one was at front desk. I left. This location is in a convenient location, has appts online (due to covid no walk-ins) and doesn't make you wait too long on your appt depending on the time of day. I notice the earlier in the day the less headaches you will have and/or wait. The staff for the most part has been direct and friendly. All the nurses are quick, gentle and get you out within minutes. As mentioned, I have been coming here A LOT and all these women work hard and have SO MUCH PATIENCE. I deserve a frequent Quest fast pass! I needed to really look at my experiences from a different perspective and realize we are human and ish happens. Covid has affected all of us. Even before Covid I went here and I look back and think the service is exactly what you should expect. Sign in, get asked for papers, wait, go in, wait, get blood work, bye bye. I would give this business zero stars if I could. The staff is extremely rude and has no consideration for patient privacy. My doctor ordered an urgent lab to look for seizure activity. Total lack of service. Check in via tablet with no receptionist. Tv screen tells you how long wait is. In my case at 620am it was 51 minutes. Then the countdown goes down. Then up. Then down. The woman getting my blood work was so rude and sassy. She also must have punctured my vein all the way through because the blood was not coming out and the pain was unbearable (much worse than the puncture pinch itself). I felt faint and asked for water to which she smirked and said "We have no water here". After I lost consciousness the water started flowing and her attitude changed as she started panicking realizing that she would be in trouble as I was not responsive for way too long. This lab is so over booked, you cannot get an early morning (fasting) appointment unless you wait for over two weeks. That's ridiculous! And its a consistently recurring a problem at this location. I understand its a busy time, with it being "season" and all, but they need to staff up during the winter to cover the demand! They are always short staffed at this location. Very frustrated with the long wait for an appointment, and go forbid you show up without an appointment and you'll be waiting for over an hour plus. Just stupid! They scheduled me for blood work and a location that was under renovations, and then never even notified me to let me know I needed to go to another location. When I called customer service, they out right lied and said they had called me multiple times. When in fact, they sent me a confirmation text that morning telling me to go to the location that was closed. If you can go anywhere else- go there instead. This is a clown show. I have a 9:00 am appointment, at 9:10 am they let me in the store to sign in - then tell me to leave because there are not enough chairs in the waiting room. Tell me to wait in my car till I get a text. Ask how long - the lady points to a screen that says 86 minutes - they are embarrassing to call themselves a lab. Note: walk in corona testing is only from 6am to 7am so it wasn't due to walk in traffic. I will never come here again - I advise you to stay away. read more

Walk away from this location if you don't have an appointment!! I was left sitting for almost 2 hours because my doctor scheduled my surgery last minute & there were no appointments available.. They show a queue on an electronic board & I would work my way up to the top & bingo! . Someone with an appointment would come in & I'd be back near the bottom. One guy sat down for about 15 minutes, then went up to the receptionist, told him that he was a walk-in, gave some reasons & they took him right in!! I had been waiting for over an hour at this point. As I neared the top for about the 4th time, I asked one of the nurses when they could take me. She was very rude. When I FINALLY got in, the nurse with a wig with purple highlights was extremely rude to me. She asked for orders which I didn't have...they were supposed to be in the system, sent by the doctor the previous day. She just ushered me out the door. I'm assuming she didn't find my orders..maybe she didn't look. She tore off a corner piece of paper with their fax & told me she was doing me a favor by giving this to me & have the doctor use that number. This wasn't doing me a favor...this was her job! I've never been so humiliated in my life! I'm a university professor, so I know what professionalism is supposed to look like! I went out of there with my tail between my legs. I feel humiliated just by typing this!! I went to another Qwest on 18th St. in Boca Raton, Had my doctor re-send the order, was treated respectfully, and spent less than an hour in there. I have gone to two quest diagnostics in the last two weeks and still haven't decided which one is worse. I waited two hours for a five minute procedure. I understand I did not make an appointment but at least if they had better attitudes, I wouldn't be so bothered with waiting. When they ask for your paperwork, and you don't have it in your hands, they announce to the waiting room they will continue to the next person and skip you because you were not prepared. If we are waiting two hours as patients, we would appreciate if they can wait two minutes will I dig into my purse and grab the paperwork. The front desk lady can be rude and unhelpful, luckily she was nice to me but I did see her make snarky comments about patients in the waiting room under her breath. I hope I do not have to return anytime soon. Some staff was nicer than others. The "others" do need an attitude check and customer service training. read more

Terrible.. do you have to have an appointment to be seen and you're reminded for five times about your appointment however your appointment means nothing because even with an appointment I waited almost 15 minutes to get my blood drawn. Staff may be overworked or course perhaps kids a personality test and hires only crabby and unhappy people. In the amount of time that I was waiting I saw them turn away maybe 10 people because they didn't have an appointment. One lady had taken three buses to get there and by the way it was raining out while they were refusing to take care of her. I will find another lab and only hope that quest reaps what it sows.
