Nice facility in the Northridge shopping center very close to the Publix, Five Below, Rainbow and Dollar Tree. They have three automated check in stations, where you enter your ID, insurance information and form of payment (if needed). Your name then is posted on an electronic billboard stating your appointment time and how many people are before you. I like that the Quest website is user friendly. I can easily see available appointments across their many locations, book the appointment, and when ready I can quickly see my results that includes easy to understand information so I know what they mean. I needed to have blood work before an upcoming procedure and I was going to use a different location but I waited until the last minute and was only able to get an appointment here. This location is located in the Northridge shopping plaza on the corner of Commercial Blvd and Dixie Hwy. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in the plaza along with a Publix if you need a drink or food after your appointment. The morning of my appointment I received the link to check in when I arrived. It wasn't even 5 minutes after checking in that I was taken back. I had my blood drawn on one take even though I have notoriously hard to find veins and there was only a very small bruise. Everything was handled quickly and professionally and I was on my way. For the best possible experience bring your lab orders from your doctor and book your appointment ahead of time to avoid long wait times at the centers. This was a terrible experience. The phlebotomist (a woman with dreadlocks) caused my vein to collapse during a routine blood draw. My arm started bleeding heavily and I felt shaky and weak afterward. Even the blood in the tube didn't look normal. I'm deeply concerned about the quality of care and the lack of proper technique at this location. Please train your staff properly -- patients should not have to suffer like this. read more

I've been to several Quest Diagnostics locations around the area, but this one on Commercial Blvd is by far the best. The facility is spacious, with plenty of rooms and staff on hand, which made the process super efficient. I was in and out in just 30 minutes, even on the weekend, which has never happened before. Usually i'm stuck there for hours. The staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was a breeze thanks to the gym next door. Tons of parking, zero issues checking-in for my appointment, very clean location, and Tenisha, the tech, was WONDERFUL. I'm a fainter and have had techs in the past who seemed inconvenienced (and frankly were so rude) when I asked for a room with a reclining chair, but Tenisha showed up with so much care, patience, experience, and a great attitude. Dear Quest, I had an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience at this Quest location. Quest does not even offer the basic service of having someone at the front desk, which is completely unacceptable. When an employee finally came out, I was rudely told I had to sign in and go through additional steps--despite being informed beforehand that I could simply drop off my sample. The waiting area was overcrowded, and instead of assisting me, the employee abruptly slammed the door in my face. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. People come to Quest because they are dealing with health concerns, not to be met with attitude and indifference. If employees don't want to do their jobs with basic professionalism and respect, they shouldn't be working in healthcare. Quest, do better. Your patients deserve it. I would give a zero to this location if I could. If you don't like your job, get a different one. read more

I had an amazing experiencing getting my lab work done here. Check in is easy at a kiosk. You scan your ID and insurance card. They called me in a few minutes after my appt time. The facility is bright and modern. The staff was super friendly. Parking is right out front. I definitely recommend this facility and will use them again. I showed up and realized I forgot my documentation so I asked one employee if I could grab it and she replied-"Is it in the parking lot?" I said no, but I literally live around the corner. I drove home and came back within three minutes. I asked if they had called my name and a second employee said they had. When I arrived early for my appointment, the check-in process at the kiosk took me seconds. The waiting room was clean and they were very few other patients waiting. I was called in less than five minutes, and for the actual blood draw, it took less than two minutes from confirming my info to grabbing the blood to putting the Band-Aid on. Worst place to go, had to take my daughter to get blood work done and the phlebotomist was the worst. She kept moving the needle inside my daughters arm. My daughter is 16 months with a hematoma and bruises. She ended up poking my daughter in both arms and still wasn't able to get blood out of her. Well where do I start This place is a joke no one in waiting room they tell you to make appointment. I have always had a great experience at this Quest. Today I showed up without an appointment at 6am and signed in easily on the iPad they have set up. Within 10 minutes they called my name. Today I was treated by Inger. She was patient, detail oriented and drew blood quickly and on the first try. But this is not my first great experience there. Usually I'm very impressed. Not sure where these negative reviews come from. I believe the team there works hard to extract blood as painlessly as possible...they also take time to get orders entered accurately. One last thing. Anyone coming to this location or anywhere else where there are people working in close proximity with patients should respect the need for masking. During June and July 2022 COVID has been spreading like wildfire. No, it typically won't kill you but it's miserable to catch and is hugely inconvenient. Just got over a case and it was no picnic. I came here today for a very simple quick test. I checked in on their system as a walk-in and was put on the standby list. A very rude nurse with short hair with twists (I didn't see her name tag) came out and told me they weren't doing any more walk ins today, but then I watched her check some other guy in after me for standby. She then went into the computer and cancelled my standby and left his in! Right in front of me. No explanation, just a figurative "screw you, but he's ok". TLDR: make an appointment. _____ I came in to Quest to get my bloodwork done, and make sure my cholesterol wasn't getting away from me since Ive been eating like a pig the last 30 years of my life. I made an appointment over the phone. They only have an automated system. I didn't get an email confirmation, so I tried calling. It's really hard to get a hold of anyone. Finally got a hold of someone and she said my appointment wasn't in the system but maybe they spelled my name wrong. What? Ok. I showed up anyways...and sure enough my last name was spelled wrong. I logged in on the little ipad like device with my phone number and took a seat. The waiting room was busy. I got called up after 30 mins. The lady that took care of my paperwork wasn't the nicest or friendliest but she thanked me for making an appointment. She said it loud enough for the 8 ppl in the second waiting room to hear. Guess they didn't make an appointment, cause I got called up before any of them. I could feel The death stares they gave me. Make an appointment. The gal that took my blood was super nice. She talked to me about her trip to Vegas that she's going to on my birthday when she saw my date of birth. It felt like my time and effort to schedule in advance didn't matter at all. Very disappointing and unprofessional. This is my 3rd time at this location, and each time, I have had no complaints! In fact, I feel this is the best place for lab work. It is easy to check in on a computer kiosk with your name, phone number and birth date. I will say it is best to make an appointment, but walk ins are accepted everyday except Saturday, and they are closed on Sunday. I didn't have an appointment today, and I was there about 1 hour for routine lab work ordered by my doctor. I feel that is an acceptable wait time, as I expected to be there 2 hours. The facility is nice, clean, and staff is always friendly. I have never had a negative experience when my blood is drawn, snd I have somewhat difficult veins. I also love that my doctor usually gets my results quickly, sometimes within 24 hours. read more

The lobby has been totally remodeled--only thing missing is a living, breathing Quest employee in sight. They have installed three machines for patients to check in. No employee to answer questions, concerns or to make sure everyone was wearing masks (which they were not). An elderly woman had to request the help of another patient to check her in on the machine.
