Ms. Octavia walked me through signing into the office for my appointment and she took my blood samples. Very slow, the waiting room is always packed. They have 3 people always working but the place is SWAMPED ITS PROBABLY THE BUSIEST LOCATION, so why is there only 3 people? And obviously it's too much for them.. I go CONSISTENTLY every month for over a year now and it's the same song and dance "EXCEPT FOR WHEN THE SUPERVISOR WAS THERE FOR THE DAY, and I even knew that without them telling me because I jokingly said what is your boss here today things are running so smoothly" The lady at the front usually has the same attitude and does not feel like helping nor asking questions. Most she'll say is "fill this out and bring it back with your ID" It's okay to spread to kindness people.. or a smile.. Also just a food for thought.. a nice rotation would have things running a lot smoother someone happily helping at the front, someone taking people back for blood, then urine, even having TWO SEPARATE EMPLOYEES DOING URINE? And/ or two separate employees doing bloodwork Obviously the system in place is not working. Hope someone reads this and something is changed. It was a horrible experience, as echoed in many of the other reviews. The lady at the front desk was very slow, and rude, and the wait was long. Most people there seemed to need court ordered drug tests, but that was not my reason, so being treated like I was in jail, just to do a pre-employment screening was most unwelcome and unnecessary. Cheryl- the rude lady in the back barked orders at people like they were in jail. It was humiliating. The place was also dirty. It will be a miracle if I didn't catch something there. I hope to never go back and only went to this location after being told that they are the only one in the area that does pre-employment drug screening. I made an appointment a week ago, got here before my appointment time, it is now 30 minutes after my appointment time and there is still a lobby full of people, individuals are taking 15 minutes each in the back, everything here runs at a snails pace and I'm not sure why. Drawing blood takes minutes. Labcorp must be the most inefficient workplace. My partner was at Quest a week ago and was in and out in under 10 minutes and they were cycling through people in the lobby quickly. read more

Because of the corvid-19 pandemic, my doctor's office ceased taking blood for routine analysis, instead of sending me to LabCorp. What a horror show! Though I had a 2:00 o'clock confirmed appointment, I had to wait 50 minutes, which wait was horrific. A fight broke out between two young patients, the nurse (I felt so sorry for her) had to eject several people and even call the police. Though I really don't know the cause of the fracas or general melee, I'd conjecture drug-related, as apparently this is also the place that does court-mandated drug testing. Worse for me, as the ruckus was by the front door and though I was in actual fear, I had no way of escape. It was a horrible experience, for me, never to return or repeat. read more

I have no idea why this place has such a low score. The staff is extremely efficient and my phlebotomist, Cheryl, was incredible. I get quarterly (or more frequent) lab draws, so I do have a bit of experience with them and LabCorp in general. First the area is a drug addict neighborhood. Second the staff was very rude and I was there at 7 am for drug testing and was told they do not take screening appointments until 900. I said it did not say that on my paperwork or the website. She said it says it on the door. So I get up at 5:30 drive there to find out I have to wait 2 hours. Never have I ever met such a rude, and manipulative group of front desk workers. Not only was I more than transparent about it being my first time and I don't even know the full name of the test I was trying to have done, but even with being transparent I still tried to explain to them that I need their help to tell me which exact test I paid for, as on the sign in screen, it wasn't labeled, how it was labeled online. As I kept trying to sign in, all 3 of the women behind the glass in the front constantly ridiculed me talking to eachother about me, even mentioned that I'm "rebellious" for asking for extra help since I couldn't locate the proper test I was trying to sign in for on the sign in screen. If you ever plan to come here. Do NOT speak to the women behind the glass they will make fun of you for their entertainment. Only positive thing I can ever say about this place? The nurse I had, had a huge smile on her face, was very understanding it's my first time doing this, and was ready to make sure it went smooth. Rest of the staff up front, honestly should be completely jobless since they aren't even working. All they ever did was argue and call me rude names which is insane because never in my 9 years of hospitality experience, have I ever been met with such horrible attitude, rudeness, and lack of helping, all at 8 AM in the morning! If I could it would be a zero. There's a lady younger girl who works for labcorp I have seen her last at this location but have seen her at Dixie location before too. She's a nightmare actually screamed in my face In front of my young child. I had to tell her not to scream In front of my child! She tried to blame me for missing my child's vein. This was absolutely the worst LabCorp I have ever been to! Because of my job I have been to several LabCorp's in the past, but this one is definitely the worst ever. I sat there for over 2 1/2 hours and I was never even called so I eventually had to leave. In the time that I sat there they ONLY took three people back. Now like I said I've been to many LabCorps from Florida to California, and it does not take that long to draw blood or to obtain urine. I was there for a drug test for work and had to play the fine balancing act of drinking enough water and not urinating before being called. But 2 1/2 hours later? They said they take walk-ins but they were only taking schedule appointments and made walk-ins wait a minimum of two hours. I understand that scheduled appointments have priority but if you can't accommodate walk-ins don't advertise it. This is 2 1/2 hours of my life that I will never get back! The following day I went to another location in Miami and they were twice as many people in the waiting room. There was an older lady that was there by herself and she was cranking out people left and right. I was in and out within 30 minutes! This is what I was expecting from the Oakland Park Center. There was a good 15 people ahead of me and I didn't wait over 30 minutes to go get tested. Maybe this site decided to finally listen to all the shitty reviews and replace or hire more workers. Typically I dislike having to go to any 3rd party lab to have blood drawn as I expect a long wait, sketchy waiting area, unaffected service, but I was pleasantly surprised with the help received in this particular location. I found the reception staff helpful, polite, and cheery. I was able to self check in using my mobile device, and was taken into the back on time! I am a super wimp when it comes to needles, but Beverly treated me with patience, compassion, kindness and empathy. I nearly passed out on her, and she stayed with me, providing water, cold compresses, and coaching until she was certain I could leave on my own. I'd go here again for future needs. Waiting area could be a little nicer, but it was clean and offered filtered water, so it's fine. read more

I do my blood work there every year for a few years now. easy to schedule, service is prompt, polite, never an issue. I am always in and out quickly. I always schedule my appt as early as possible. I have been to this location several times and every-time i come they seem to have a weird strategy. You arrive they tell you you have a 2 hour wait. So I proceed to ask if i can come back within hour and 45mins and she said not if u don't want want to loose your place in line. Cause people. She said you name could call in 10 mins or within 2 hours...now i get it its tough to predict people and schedules in this business. But there must be a way or an APP that LabCorp can implement so that clients can check in from the app and have a timer count down. Or have a system that allows patients to check in online and receive txt msgs etc. this will help both LabCorp and clients both effectively manage times. But service has to improve somehow read more

When I asked what was taking long for my name to be called just for my paperwork, she told me all the ppl called before me had appts and she noted them with the highlighter on the sign in sheet. When I let her know that MY NAME was highlighted, she brushed it off and said I would be called next- which I wasn't. Very poorly run facility.
