I just had routine lab done at this location. Labcorp, like Quest Diagnostics, offers an easy online reservation system. Schedule online, or just show up. I arrived on a Thur at 6:50a with no appt, the day before my scheduled 1:30p the next day. 7 people already waiting outside. 7 more arrived within half an hour. Doors opened on time. We shuffled in, forming lines at 2 kiosks. A woman patiently and quickly organized and assisted us even as kiosks had problems, then processed orders and payment behind the desk. Imagine placating groups of hungry people, many with serious health issues, holding their pee, expecting to be stuck with needles, and some you know may pressure you more, after waiting. This woman was a class act. That's the work of hero. Then, within an hour, phlebotomist KATINA performed hands down the most expert, fast blood draw I've ever had. If you cannot schedule a very early appt online soon enough for your needs, but want a shorter wait, rise freaking early like these professionals serving us do. One of the receptionist woman from 2 that seat in the reception room (she is the shorter then the other) was very rude and didn't want to help with intering the customer information to the computer. After asking again for help and then asking why she can't help she said that she is calling the police if we continue asking. when the police arived we axplain the police the problem and the policemen asked us to leave the place,he said that it because this is a privet place and she can ask anyone to leave because she can do in the place whatever she want to do. she refused to give here name and to speak with supervisor. it was very important lab check that we didn't do it because of this rude woman that mad us to leave the lab. Been to this location 4 times. Only once was it near pleasant and close to my appointment time. Rude office staff, it's as if they are doing the client a favor. After multiple times waiting over 45 min after my appointment, I will go somewhere else, perhaps Quest Diagnostics. Nastiest phlebotomist on earth! I have used this location several times and have always been pleased with check-in, front desk reception, and have even remarked how generally friendly the phlebotomists are. Last week I should have known better and run away the second this one escorted me to the back. She could barely manage a grunt other than to ask for my birth date and answer a brief question I had. Seems like it was more a matter of her hating her job vs. having a bad day. Didn't bother to ask for my arm preference, grabbed my left and did a vein search to an extent I have never experienced. Jammed in the needle and left me with a five inch hematoma that is so disgusting I can't even look at it. I will return to this location when needed but now I know better-if you get a bad vibe from someone who is going to draw your blood, request another. read more

I unfortunately have to use Labcorp due to insurance. I've gone to the Oakland Park location a few times. It's dirty and the people working the window are unfriendly and unhelpful. Appointments are pointless. I've been calling this location to make sure they received my paperwork and the phone number has rang busy for a month now. Contacting corporate is also pointless. They just told me they received my paperwork, but wouldn't address the fact that the phone has been ringing busy for a MONTH! I want to call to make sure the paperwork is correct before I go there and waste more time! GOOD GRIEF, I miss Quest!!! read more

On 07/05/19, (a Friday) I had an appointment at this location @ 8:00 am. The 2 kiosks were 'out of order'. The staff is never on time! Only 1 lab tech on duty, for the day after 4th of July. One front desk person. When I asked at the front desk, "is there a full staff today?" She said, 'have a seat', 'allow 20 minutes with an appointment.' So, I found out only 1 lab tech came to work or was scheduled that day. Beverly, lab tech, is great each time! You have to bring your lab paperwork because they always say, 'don't have it'. They blame my doctor's office for not sending it. The time before, the bathroom was dirty, trash full & pee all over the toilet seat. I would not come here if my insurance did not pay for it. Rev. TOTAL DISREGARD AND INCOMPETENCE. I had previously visited this lab several years ago to obtain paperwork following a TB test. Simple enough despite the letter prepared a day later than promised. This past week I dropped off lab work prescriptions and copies were made along with my information. I was told they would call me the next day with an estimate and availability. When I called 48 hours later, the nurse told me, "We're busy with patients." Was I not a potential patient with considerable lab work that would have generated them lots of money? I returned in person the following day, the same copies were made AGAIN and they sat me in a room. Thirty minutes later I went to gather my paperwork and told them I'd be seeking business elsewhere. No apologies, only shrugs from the doctor and staff. And then (with the only effort I'd seen from them to date) there was a mild panic. They had LOST MY PRESCRIPTIONS WITHIN 30 MINUTES. I requested all the copies they had and they shrugged as I left. LOCALS DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They have a complete lack of patient care and the amount of PHI I overheard from neighboring patients in other rooms was astounding! Will be reporting to HIPPA compliance boards! read more

I would definitely recommend a different location. Shantell at the front is AWESOME. She is very warm and welcoming and goes above and beyond. Beverly in the back did not seem to be happy at work today during this bad coronavirus times we are having now. Came to get labs drawn for my physical at 8:45 am and signed in. Waiting room full. At 9:30, still waiting to be called to hand in my lab orders. Overhearing patients in the waiting room who had been waiting since 7 am and also the receptionist being rude to a patient about a past due balance and saying they wouldn't serve her even though she had been waiting since 7 am. I had a 1pm appointment. got there at 1230 and checked in by phone. About 15 minutes later I was asked to come in and take care of the paperwork. The girl at the front desk could not have been any nicer! A few minutes later I was taken to a room for the tests. The girl also was super nice! it was a great experience, not what I was expecting. I must admit that I usually hate going to these locations to have my bloodwork done. But I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Oakland Park office! From easy electronic check in to having my bloodwork done it was quick and simplified! I also had very sweet and talented nurses throughout this 20 minute experience. Thank you girls ! All of these reviews are accurate. This Labcorp is straight hood. Attendants unfriendly. I made an appointment, however the computers were down that day, so I was seen three (3) hours AFTER my set appointment time, making me miss half of the work day. It's been a month with no word of anything. I thought it was strange that the doctors haven't called me on my results, so I called to check on the results myself, and the doctor never received them! She looked in the computer and it's not even in the database that I went in for blood work that day. I'm calling now to have them send in the paperwork to my doctor, and the phone line is busy. Really, in 2018, we don't have multiple lines or voicemail? The area may be impoverished, but this establishment doesn't have to be so run down as well. read more

My Dr used to use Quest however now I am being held hostage at Labcorp. I understand as a walk in there will be a wait time. Walk in at Quest in and out in 10 min. Labcorp over 1 hr. There is one lab technician here doing all the work. Pathetic operation. What can you do if you need your blood work done ya gotta wait it out. So I just walked into this location, not even after checking in this woman comes up in her blue uniform, question me about my son who I i had to pick up from m school. I told her what is the problem, she said you can't have a child with you while having a drug test. I advise her where does it state it and also when making the appointment it clearly does not state it as well. She basically was like what you going to do we not liable, like the tone was nasty, but also the location says it all, I will never recommend anyone to this location . I went to LabCorp today for COVID antibody testing after a terrible front desk experience with the Quest site on Commercial Blvd. It was a night and day experience. First, the automated check-in was quick and user friendly. The receptionist was pleasant, knowledgeable and courteous (I bet if she didn't have a COVID mask on I would have seen a smile), even as she maintained a strictly limited COVID-safe waiting room. Even as a walk-in, the wait was remarkably short. I noticed that the staff did not let in additional patients when the waiting room was at COVID capacity, and courteously suggested other walk ups to come back the next work day (Monday). The phlebotomist was exceptionally adept, and I say this as a cancer survivor who has been poked and prodded at least 2000 times over the last 8 years. I could see the smile in her eyes even with the N95 mask on. Thanks to the entire lab site for making a stressful event better. read more

They have lost my specimens (stool) for the last time. My doctor and I have decided to use an alternate lab even if I have to cash pay for them. They are costing my insurance a bundle due to their mistakes. And I'm stuck waiting yet another month while labs are redone to find out if Ive got a serious problem (liver cancer) or one that could be solved easily by medication. This is the most unprofessional staff Ive ever had to deal with . Went for my annual blood work which is covered by my insurance. I gave my insurance card, was told that they except Blue Cross Blue Shield. I then received a $1,300 bill for what was supposed to be covered by my insurance!! Complete incompetence that is costing me big time. read more

Posting a one star for his place is a stretch. I had an appointment at 10am and they didn't even call my name until 1140. Once they called my name they sent me back into a room where I waited another 35 minutes just for bloodwork. This is the worst experience I've ever had. Poor organization. Came here on a Friday at 230pm. Wait time was 4 minutes, blood took 3 minutes. Lady at front desk was very nice. I had one allergy test to take. Winnitta took my blood and was sweet and funny. I read the bad reviews on the way over here, expecting the worst. It's fine, no wait. As far as dirty??? It's not dirty, I think of dirty like the dirty asylum in the movie 'Shutter Island' with Leonardo Dicaprio. I spent more time writing this review in my car then waiting. read more

When I informed her that my blood test were given to be stat by the doctor,she roll her eyes and told me to sit . A business as big as this should not have horrible staff .
