I have been to this plantation location multiple times and the customer service is truly terrible. I scheduled an appointment today for 11:20am it is now 12:00pm and still have not been taken in for my labs. I came to this location three weeks ago and had to return today because they forgot to draw one of my labs request by my doctor and when the doctors office reached out to quest they didn't even receive an answer as to why my labs were never drawn. The quality of care given here is terrible and I will never be returning to this location. This is a waste of my time and prolongs me getting a diagnosis when they are forgetting to run specific labs. read more

Had to update my review because they've greatly improved since 2015 - enough for me to raise the number of stars from 2 to 4. Since my 2015 review I've noticed a great improvement in wait times. They use kiosks instead of making people wait on line to sign in. The kiosks accept QR and confirmation codes or name/phone number. Since there are 2 kiosks there usually isn't a line to sign in. This frees the people in the office to process payments (now they take a portion of the bill before the blood is drawn instead of billing the insurance company first). Then they prepare the paperwork for the phlebotomists. This process change means a shorter wait time. I usually get my blood drawn within a half hour of my appointment time - often in less time than that. The phlebotomists are good sticks - typically, they only poke once. And they're all friendly, so even though they're filling several tubes of my blood, it's quick and painless. I don't see phlebotomists hanging out with one another or BSing with clients. They are friendly and efficient. They are respectful of their clients - especially considering most have fasting blood tests.. I'm no fool - I bring my coffee cup so as soon as my blood is drawn I can enjoy my morning coffee. I usually stick my head into the office and wish everyone a good day. (I've made coffee runs for the people in the office - they can't run out, so they've really appreciated it.) All together, this takes less than an hour of my day and I'm on my way. If you have to have a blood/urine test, know that this is a clean, well-run lab. It's right off of Broward Boulevard between University and Pine Island. They'll get you in and out and you can feel good knowing that you took care of your health. For me, it was a great way to use my annual medical benefit before year's end and care for myself. I was so nervous to go in to have my blood drawn due to bad experiences I've had in the past at other locations. This location was relatively easy to find, check in was simple and my phlebotomist was amazing. Her name is Theresa and her hands are gifted! She was kind and gentle and it literally only felt like a pinch. That was the quickest and most painless blood drawing experience that I've ever had! Helpful things to remember: 1. Bring your lab order form/prescription with you (they do not print them there). 2. Make an appointment! (Walk-ins tend to wait a longer time than those with an appointment). 3. Be sure to hydrate yourself BEFORE you get there. (It makes the veins plump up, making it an easier experience to get your blood drawn). 4. Be kind to the staff. Going to get blood drawn is never fun! And if you're like me, it's an especially bad experience, since they very seldom find a vein at first try. This was the case on this day. Even with the thinnest needle, she tried twice and painfully failed. I don't know what hurts more, the tight elastic bands, or the actual prick. To spare me from more pain, then walked in another phlebotomist and he got it! Even when my vein was not found so that I was pricked thrice, they were very kind and caring to me. This is one of those places where you automatically set yourself up to have a poor experience, much like the dentist or the dmv so naturally as soon as I got in the door my stomach hurt. It's a pretty painless process (I'm not talking about the blood draw) there are two windows- the first signs you in and the second takes your information. After that you're sent to the holding area to wait your turn. My appointment was at 10:15 and I was giving my blood to the vampires at 10:12. Note: please make an appointment before coming here. You can walk in, but you'll wait. Appointments are always taken as a priority. The tech was very friendly, making the blood draw very easy. It only took time because they took so much blood from me, but overall the experience was very pleasant. Everyone in the office was nice. I had an appointment for blood work today at 11:15 am. Upon arrival was not told of any delays, just asked if I had my prescription. Was called in to the waiting room at 11:50 am. Blood jus drawn at 1:30 pm. This my first time at this location and will be my last - they could have communicated the delay to all and be more understanding. Quest also should update its web site. This place has the most rude and disrespectful employees. I booked an appointment for 7 AM on April 30, 2022 I was called in at 7:30 AM and was asked if I had an appointment. Yes, I believe I do. Was told to sit on a chair and wait. They kept calling other people after me and took their lab work and completely ignored me. When I asked why I was still waiting, these two ladies started responding with the most condescending attitude like how dare I ask and bother them. They were not even busy. They acted like I was there to serve them when I pay for this service. These ladies need to go to charm school because they do not know how to be professionals and deal with the public. Go to a different quest or go to lab corp! I went in for an appointment and had a copy of my lab order from my doctor emailed to me. The lab attendant refused to accept it unless I printed it. Even though there was a printer right below her. She said the printer wasn't for public use and I told her I'm not the public and that I'm a patient... I told her I now know to bring a hard copy from now on but that I would appreciate her printing it for me this time since there was no email or notice telling me I needed a hard copy. She refused and said "oh lord help me" even though she didn't need the lord, she could have easily just printed the document. I went next door and that pharmacy had no problem printing it for me, then I had to return and wait like a walk in even though I had an appointment. Horrible rude lady with no customer service. Had a pleasant experience at this location this morning (as pleasant as a blood draw can be). I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment and was seen after about 20 minutes. The check-in was efficient and it seems starting today there are no walk-ins accepted, which certainly helped with the wait time. Myriam is an expert with the draw, I barely felt it. This Quest Diagnostics is located in a strip mall that looks a little shady. Their entrance is from the inside of the strip mall so driving around the parking lot may get a little frustrating. Just park and look for a directory to point you to the right direction. It looks pretty sterile when you walk in, but it's a lab so it should look that clean. However, it smelled horrible. You can detect the slightest odor of urine in the air. Honestly, I know this is the place to go for blood work and urine tests and what not, but they need to do a better job cleaning up or filtering the air. The receptionist at the desk didn't even greet me when I walked in. There were only two other people in the waiting room and they were already registered. Honestly lady, your job description probably has some form of customer service in it, and that is exactly what you're lacking. I walked up to the window and informed her that I had an appointment. She then pointed with her lips for me to sign in. She didn't even hand me the clipboard and pen. Ugh, I know I'm being picky about this, but every medical clinic I've been to, the receptionists always handed me clipboards and pens. I also made an appointment but ended up waiting way longer than I was anticipating even though there were only two people in front of me. Techs walked around with gloves on and touched everything. Even if the gloves are clean, it may give the patient the wrong idea. We don't know it's clean. For all I know it could have someone's blood or urine droplets all over. The lady at the front desk (can't remember her name...) nicely explained how the test works and walked me through. I saw her dealing with other patients but she's very lively, patient oriented, and professional. I'll be honest, I didn't have a high expectation when I walked into the lab and thought I would have similar experiences as DMV or any Dr's office & medical center...but it was really a pleasant experience! If I could give quest diagnostics a negative rating I would give them -5 stars. After complaining about not receiving my test results for the coronavirus antibody, I received a quick public relation response. It gave me an email address for a patient advocacy unit. I wrote a request simply asking for my results. Again I've heard nothing. They process your money but it is impossible to contact them. The telephone system here put you in an infinite loop or makes you wait until the phone is disconnected. You message them and the system either will reject your message or you'll get no response. This is one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had, probably because I'm anxious to receive the results I paid them to give me in a pandemic. Unforgivable! read more
