The experience was excellent. It was my first visit at this location (Plainview). It was an easy online process for providing insurance information and scheduling an appointment. Check in was done through a text link on my cell phone. I was the only patient at 6:30 am, perhaps because of inclement weather. The waiting room and laboratory were relatively clean. Sultan, the lab technician, graciously informed me about Quest's new policy of putting a $100 debit/card hold on every patient's account before any lab test is done. I complied, and I will now contact my insurer to verify the legality. He effortlessly drew my blood for a fasting lab test. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and my arm remained bruise free hours later. The Quest app notified me of my results the next morning. I have been to most of the Quests on Long Island because I need frequent blood work. I am giving this location minus one star because of the $100 hold. read more

The woman tech in the Plainview office was very unprofessional and uncaring. I was called in and then left waiting in the room for so long. She didn't even seem to care and kept complaining and having trouble with the computer. read more

This place was awesome - I printed out my reservation and scanned the QR code - boom checked in... that took less than 10 seconds. No less than 5 minutes later my name was called. Latoya was point of contact and she couldn't have been better. She was friendly, had great conversation, even showed me pictures of her little ones dressed for halloween. She's a fantastic employee! It was quick and painless and coming from a guy who doesn't love going to the doctors or getting blood drawn ect - this was an absolute pleasure. Highly Recommended! read more

i went their and i was waiting for 2 hours. they would wait for the people with appointments to come and they just wouldn't take the walk-in people. and when i got called, the lady was SO RUDE. she couldnt even give me water when i was about to pass out. she was very rude and had a TERRIBLE attitude. read more

Call and ask for a butterfly needle, if they tell you they don't use those hang up and look for another place to go. Lets change their cheapskate ways. Using a butterfly needle reduces the likelihood a person will experience profuse bleeding after blood drawn. https://www.healthline.com/health/butterfly-needle#advantages The direct tube holder with a needle on the end causes profuse bleeding after blood drawn by dissecting (cuts a rip) or punching through the back of the vein; causing bruising. The worst bruising that I have every had in my life was caused by 4 tubes of blood being taken the other day (June 26, 2019) here at Quest using the old solid direct tube holder with a needle on the end. And the difference, the butterfly needles cost just under $3/each, the direct tube holder with a needle on the end cost just under $1/each. They save $2 per client. (no stars for this dis-service) The staff was very pleasant (5 stars), it would be nice if Quest the company would think of the client a little more. read more

The office is clean and really nice and staff is friendly and professional. I went during their Lunch hour to find them closed. I tried going to LabCore next store and found their offices not clean, small and staff was extremely rude. I immediately went back to Quest to wait for them to open. went to scheduled appt this morning. was taken immediatey VJ was the technician very professional with terrific smile. told him i was a baby and not to hurt me. he laughed and said "don't worry". He had such an easygoing manner about him. He was right. took four vials of blood and I felt nothing. Nice change of help in this office. read more

Waited over an hour and a half for a drug test. My phlebotomist was unprofessional - had an attitude, gave curt responses and had her music playing from the pc while working. Did not communicate clearly the procedure for drug test and ended up having me wait in the waiting room for a long time while holding my urine ... all while another staff member had to tell me that I had to sign in again using the tablet at the front desk. After resigning in, other patients who signed in after me ending up going before until I spoke up. Phlebotomist either purposely had me wait or forgot about me - either way pure negligence. She offered no apologies. This place is a disgrace - I wouldn't trust anyone here with your lab tests. Do yourself a favor and go to another lab. This place is a joke. read more

This review is for the location on Hicksville Road in Hicksville/Bethpage If incompetent health care doesn't bother you and a long wait is OK, then this place is for you. A health lab run on a shoestring budget. Signed in and one hour later called up to reception desk. Placed in a room and waited another 45 minutes for a blood technician to draw my blood. After all this while, guess who comes in to stick a needle into me? You got it....the receptionist. I am now left with a painful silver dollar sized black and blue mark on my arm. OOOPS!!! Told her BTW that my doctor needed the results STAT. She laughed. "We don't do that any more". Use Sunrise from now on. read more

I had a great experience here. I'm pregnant and have had to go to many different Quest locations for testing recently but this was definitely my best experience. The check-in process was very organized and simple, and the waiting room was very clean. I had an appointment and they took me in right at my appointment time. Five days ago I had the misfortune of going to Quest Diagnostics in Plainview for a routine blood draw. Even though there were two techs working and only two people ahead of me, I waited a half hour to be seen. I hate to think how long the wait would have been if there were more patients. When I was finally admitted I saw that the tech was going to use an "old school" large guage straight needle instead of a modern butterfly collection set. I told her that as a senior citizen, who has fairly frequent blood draws, I was concerned about the excessive tissue damage these needles cause. To add insult to injury the tech laughed and said that as trained phlebotomist she knew how to minimize such injury. "Right", I should have left at that point. I did not and now several days later I am still experiencing pain and have a black and blue on my arm the size of a golf ball. So if you don't like pain, dated medical techniques and long waits I suggest you avoid Quest. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One technican working, office packed, after you sign in the monitor tells you how long your wait is. When I walked in it said 27 min...never updated...after 2 hours...the technician comes out and says wifi is out so everyone has to leave. Will NEVER use QUEST again!!! read more

No complaints at all! My experience here was quick and easy. I walked in a few minutes prior to my appointment and I was greeted by Ty who was very sweet. Stay away during the afternoons!!!! Only one phlebotomist is there weekdays. I waited one hour and then as I am sitting in the chair I am told they do NOT accept cash! I did not have my card with me. Back to Bethpage I go. Never had a problem there. read more

Minimal wait time is great. Some of the staff are friendly. Quick service but be sure to call before you go at lunch time as they also close for lunch. Bathrooms are stark and far in the rear. Results are quick. read more
