Some pleasant conversational chat, and done! Appointment was 8 am and I was out and in my car at 8:02am. Zippity do dah!

I visited the Jefferson Brentwood Breast Center this week for a routine mammogram. It was a…read morepleasant, very clean facility with clear signage that made it easy to find my way. I was seen by wonderful imaging tech who obviously knew her stuff and moved things right along (the best mammogram techs definitely have some of the best people skills on the planet, if you ask me!). Afterward, I went downstairs to get some blood work done which had been previously ordered by my nurse practitioner. A wonderfully streamlined and nearly 100% painless process, facilitated by a pleasant and highly skilled phlebotomist. It couldn't have gone better. My only concern: at the mammogram check-in, at the front of the patient line next to mine, a prospective patient was being quizzed by a staff member. Seems that the patient was in the prep process for some sort of surgery(?). The staff member seemed quite hard of hearing and spoke incredibly loudly. Everyone in the check-in line, but also those who were in the waiting room 30 feet away, could hear every word as the staffer asked questions. Did the patient have tattoos, piercings, breast augmentations, etc. The patient answered softly and seemed mortified that her business was being broadcast so widely. I have good hearing, but I had to lean in very close to the other staff member to hear what she was telling me because her colleague was speaking so loudly. Perhaps pre-op sessions could be done in a private room(?)

Both a RN & PA evaluated my elbow, cleaned it up & the PA used surgical glue to close the wound. Everyone was friendly, helpful & professional. I walked out the door approximately 36 minutes later! I give the care five stars & would gladly use this facility again if I need to! Pat L

She told me no sit down I don't have a bed when there was a bed right in the room. The place is no good because I tested positive for the flu but sent me home and didn't do anything for me besides give me ibuprofen. They don't take the time to really take care of sick patients. And they bill me for being seen and I will never give them a penny for there poor service.

The Main waiting room can sometimes be full but I have never waited longer than 5-10 minutes to be called for my mammogram. I have gotten the same technician each time. She is incredibly sweet. She takes you back to the office for mammograms. There is a changing room there with a place to put your shirt and bra. They have a waiting room in that office but I've never had to wait there. You are then taken back and the images are taken. It is done quickly but nicely. The tech keeps asking how you are doing. She checks after each image to make sure it's good before moving to the next one. When you are done you go back to the changing room and get dressed. I've also had a breast sonogram done there and it was done in the same manner. The technicians are very kind and explain everything before they take the images or do the sonogram. I highly recommend it.

I was in and out in 2 seconds. Fast, fast, fast. And no I ain't never been skeered 'o dem needles 'n 'at. Ya just gotta buck up for the sting. I lift too, so my veins are easy to find. Everytime I have something like this done, I always get a deep-voiced yinzer chick who sez, "Oooh you got big arms! Lookit dis guy!" And at the ungodly hour of 8 A.M. I needed a chuckle. So if you screw up at work, gotta pee in a cup, or need pricked for whatever test life throws at you, make an appointment here, online yet. Imagine that.
