I am extremely disappointed in my experience at this Quest location. Typically I go to the Robinson location and the staff does such a wonderful job, but I went to the McKnight location since it's near my boyfriends house. The phlebotomist that did my blood draw was personable, but definitely not nearly as experienced as the folks in Robinson. She hit a nerve while doing the blood draw and I have had this awful shooting pain down my forearm, wrapping around my wrist, and onto my hand for a week now. It has restricted me from exercising, doing certain things at my job, & using my right arm for just about anything. This is the first time I have ever had to experience something like this and I wish that there was more I could do. I believe this was entirely avoidable and caused by negligence on behalf of this staff member. To make the situation worse, there is no way to speak to a representative or even get in contact with a phlebotomist. The phone number provided by Quest is extremely limited to its abilities and was useless to me. I wish that there was something else that I could do to better this situation, or even prevent this from happening to another person. read more

This was as smooth as could be. The lab tech was experienced (over 30 years) and friendly. I felt super comfortable and the process was very quick. Check in was easy as well. Appointment was also timely. In and out in under 10 minutes! The blood draw was quick, and well done. The quality of care was high. I would recommend this location. read more

Not very welcoming. The waiting area is all black and white photos, and there's nobody to greet you when you arrive. I checked in with the kiosk, then my status appears on a monitor. The waiting room is smaller than the other Quest locations. Lots of free parking. I strongly advise that you pre-schedule your appointment to avoid a long wait. read more

I do have to say that it is quite unbelievable that I received a cancellation email at 2:01pm, during the day of my appointment. I drove to quest to make my 10:40am appointment, only to find a letter on the door stating that due to an emergency, the office was closed for the day. Fortunately, I do not live far from this location, however, I'm sure individuals drove a distance to this location and never received a notice that the office was closed at 8:30am! I feel an establishment such as this, meaning the size of this corporation, should have the means of notifying patients so they are not literally wasting their time and also traveling in inclement weather to make an appointment. I feel it is important to note I do have text and email notifications "on" within my profile. It is completely understandable to send staff home as a safety precaution due to inclement weather. The same respect should go to the patients that choose Quest as well. It is beyond ridiculous that individuals would not receive a notification by text or email so they also are not risking driving in inclement weather conditions. read more

I've had literally dozens of blood draws at this location for cancer treatment, and I've been very impressed. The staff is prompt, hardworking, and personable, making the experience as comfortable as possible. Most blood draws are quick and painless, and the nurses distract me by asking questions about my day. The needle insertion only hurt once or twice, often if I was not hydrated enough or the phlebotomist went for a side vein. They also bandage my arm and let me rest there if I feel dizzy. Free parking and the location are convenient, and the MyQuest website is easy to navigate for results. The only minor issue I've seen is there is no one in the waiting area to assist patients, some of whom had nobody to answer their questions or help them with the kiosk. But overall, I appreciate the excellent service here. read more

You need a physician's order, which you can obtain either directly through Quest's website or through your own provider. To pay for your tests, you can use a credit card or an HSA card in advance on Quest's website, or you can pay with an insurance card in person during your appointment. On a Saturday evening, I decided that I wanted to order some laboratory tests. I logged onto Quest Direct's website, and I ordered a Women's Health Profile and a Gluten Allergy Test Panel for a total of $318. Next, I scheduled an appointment at this location of Quest. I felt very thankful that this location opens early at 6:30 AM, and I was able to make an appointment for Monday morning. Quest's email had told me to arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment, so on Monday, I arrived at 6:30 AM for my 6:40 AM appointment. I signed in with a tablet computer. After a wait of about one or so minutes, a phlebotomist called me to a room in the back. Another customer was having trouble with signing into the tablet, so the phlebotomist kindly helped him for a minute. Because I had already paid in advance for my tests, we saved many minutes of time. The phlebotomist applied a tourniquet around my arm, cleansed my arm, and easily found my vein with her needle. She filled test tubes with my blood, and she carefully bandaged my arm. For my urinalysis test, she gave me a cup and directed me to the bathroom. Then I was done! I walked out of Quest at 6:39 AM--one minute before my 6:40 AM appointment was supposed to start! Update: Quest took 6.5 days to report my lab results to me. I thought that timeline was long, but the MyQuest website was easy to navigate. read more

I needed some blood drawn for my doctor. I went to Quest as it was near by and convenient to get too. I walked in the place was empty. You use an tablet there to sign in. I signed in and 2 minutes later a nurse came out and called my name. I am probably the biggest hater of needles and as long as i look the other way i am generally ok. The nurse was great got my vein first time with no problems at all. The nurse was very friendly and obviously really good at her job. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I am someone who passes out at the sight of needles. I have had my blood drawn twice, once at Oakland's Quest Diagnostics location and once at this one. Oakland's was THE most unpleasant experience I have ever had at any medical appointment so I was hesitant to come to this location. This location did everything right that Oakland's did wrong. I stated I was nervous at both locations, but James at this location was able to talk me through it and help me not pass out. The blood was drawn before I even knew it. I barely felt anything. My arm was not bruised, it did not hurt after, and I left feeling better than when I came in! I can not thank James enough for making my experience so wonderful. I will always return to this location in the future. Quick, easy, and painless. Great bedside manner, folks. Keep up the good work. read more

This is the worst Quest Diagnostic center I've been too. Before the nurse even went into the system to check and see if my Doctor sent the request over, she (Paula) began ranting and raving that they needed the original scripts. I explained my doctor sent them electronically. After checking, she found them in the system. Took my blood and sent me on my way. It wasn't until I reviewed my receipt that I noticed she didn't perform one of the tests. It said ' unavailable'. Never told me. Now I have to reschedule another test. With COVID-19 they decided my wife's doctor's order was not valid (on hold) since we could not make an appointment the day of the order since there were no open appointments (the did have an appoint for several days in the morning). So, when she came in they made us for the appointment they made her have to contact her doctor (also tough during COVID-19) the doctor said that they should not put a hold on a request even if it takes a few days to schedule an appointment. Because of this she had to wait an extra hour fasting for the doctor to tell them they were wrong. I think they were being lazy and trying to free up the schedule since they were behind. Very disappointing, frustrating and non-professional. read more

It's a bit out of the way for us city folk (unless you're like me and go to a gym in the North Hills, in which case, it's right on the way home from a workout), but this Quest is worth the trip. Fast, efficient, and home to a spacious waiting room for those few minutes you'll be waiting for your appointment. I had my bloodwork done on a Wednesday afternoon, and my doctor's office had the results and were in contact with me just 24 hours later. This office is located in the same strip of businesses as FedEX/Kinko's and El Campesino (they moved from their previous location down McKnight Rd). Big parking lot, and easy access to a traffic light to let you back onto McKnight so you can leave in either direction. Very convenient! read more

I took my daughter to this location for a blood draw. We made an appointment requesting a pediatric specialist, which this location advertises. The phlebotomist that we got stated that she had only drawn one child in the past, and then she and another phlebotomist traumatized my daughter for 40 minutes while making multiple attempts to draw blood with a standard needle because "there were no butterfly needles available". In the end, they were unable to complete the draw and we were told to try coming back another day. After all this, we were not given a refund at the time for a service that was not able to be performed due to untrained staff that probably should not have attempted this blood draw in the first place. I attempted to call the location directly the next day, and was unable to get in touch with someone there. I tried to select option 5 from the automated system to reach customer service, and the line disconnects every time after one ring. I called the main customer service line, was transferred to billing, and then told that there was no way to resolve the charge at this time, and that I would need to call back in about a week to try to have it resolved. Overall, horrible experience with this location and this company. In the end, we went to the lab at Children's Hospital and received excellent care and service, and were in and out in 20 minutes. I would highly recommend anyone with children take the short trip into the city. read more
