The positives: easy to schedule an online appointment and to check in once you get there. Negatives: There was no where in the room to hang a coat. The person who took my blood did not introduce herself, the seat provided was very difficult to get into, the phlebotomist did not communicate in any way. I am short and the arm rest was above my heart level making it hard for the blood to flow. Instead of lowering my arm, she kept jamming the testube further in making it very uncomfortable for me. No apology... a robot might have been better. Lastly, and this is a continuing problem at this particular location in Manayunk, there is NO soap in the bathroom where you give urine samples. There are no paper towels and there is no trashcan. This is a major hygiene issue!!! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! But there is no zero stars! We've been going here for years and Annette always made it a fast, pleasant and overall positive experience. This day Annette was not there and the lady who did show up LATE was slow, rude, and unprofessional. The waiting room was mobbed and we learned quickly that multiple people were there for the 3rd or 4th time in two weeks because of issues with staff not showing up, computers down, staff not having the proper supplies, being short staff, not opening on time or waiting so long beyond the appt time they had to leave!! As we sat there, the only staff (the rude lady) opened the door 20 minutes late and screeched "if you don't have an appt I won't get to you today" and started to close the door. WHAT? Someone asked her about all day and she said yea all day and shut the door. There was an elderly woman in the lobby very upset who asked her multiple times over an hour for help and she said she was busy and would help her later. She then came out and told a man who had been waiting over 45 along with uis that she didn't have the proper "container" to take his specimen. He announced he had been there twice before with the same outcome and sad he confirm the delivery of the container came in two days prior. Meanwhile there are 15 minute appts intervals but in over an hour this rude woman had only taken in 2 people and send one away (remember she sauntered in LATE with no apologies to the small crowd of people in the hallway freezing). She walked in with her coffee and then unlocked the door from inside a few mins later (heard the lock) and no word to come in, nothing). She was the worst supposed professional I have ever seen and needs to be fired. At least two people waiting over an hour were calling their doctor offices reporting the whole thing. Another man walked in and saw who was working when she opened the door and he announced he was leaving after comgin twice before and the same lady treating him and others poorly. I don't know who this lady was but she was a nightmare! I hope Annette is still there and maybe had the day off or if not I hope she comes back because this lady needs to be gone!! read more

I'm a transplant patient returning form Houston. I've forgotten just how rude service providers can be. Just to be clear: 1. I'm sorry the labs faxed over never made it into your system 2. I'm sorry you're understaffed for the volume this site experiences 3. I'm sorry I had labs from multiple doctors 4. I'm sorry other patients were annoying However, I expect to be treated minimally with respect, if not with some empathy. It surprises me that nobody is wearing masks and that they're not even available. Perhaps it's time to explore other career opportunities if this one is so burdensome. I am a senior, so I made an early morning 6:45 am appointment at 1419 Old York Rd, Abington, PA 19001 for blood work today, August 28, 2020. A tech entered the room I was assigned to, a room 3, wearing no mask. I asked her why she had no mask on, and asked her to put on her mask. She glared at me and rudely replied "I just got here. I didn't know anyone was in here." She then put on a mask. I felt extremely upset and unsafe (no way to socially distance in those little rooms). She left the room, then returned and put a face shield over the mask. She asked if I wanted someone else to draw my blood, and I said, "Yes." Once the other room, a room 2, was cleared of another patient, that tech asked me to come in. She apologized when I asked her how such behavior could occur, that no one has ever spoken so rudely to me in any healthcare or medical facility. She said she was sorry, but she didn't hear what was said, so couldn't offer any explanation. I have filed a complaint with Quest Diagnostics, but in the future I will find another facility where staff are professional and courteous and observe all health and safety guidelines! read more

Roxborough location. Went for my scheduled appointment at 245pm on January 18 2022. I followed check in procedures link checked in successfully and was instructed that I would receive a text when they are ready and I could sit in lobby or stay in car. I waited in car for 10 minutes and nothing so I walked in and office was locked. I knocked. Security guard opened door and said no more patients. I said I checked in timely and was in car waiting. Did they not get my check in. She said I will ask and came back not taking any more patients! Tw was only 248 not even 3pm. Whoever was working there at this time should be fired. Obviously no regard for patients health or knowing the importance of what they do. I want this woman FIRED! The stress of this caused me anxiety to a very high level. read more

I had an appointment to get done bloodwork and was in and out . Annette the phlebotomist was amazing . She was so sweet and did her job perfectly . I didn't even realize she was using a straight stick needle ( and not butterfly ) that's how gentle she was . I know now which location I will use for the future . They should call this place "In-and-Out" Diagnostics or something! So I had to drop by here to get my blood drawn for my doctor's office. I was a little worried about going to Quest Diagnostics because I figured there might be a long wait. The nurse at my doctor's office even said to try to call or book an appointment online before going in because sometimes it can be up to 1-2 hours of a wait if not. Well I dropped by here at 8:30am... No appointment. I tried calling this place but it just kept ringing and ringing and no one was answering - so I decided to just go. I have a smartphone to keep me busy and all morning with nothing on the schedule. I showed up at the building. Parking lot looked slammed. Found 1 of 2 open spots. I was bracing myself for the worst. Thinking if it is two or more hours, I'll just come back another time. I walked in - place has a really small waiting area. Two very nice black ladies greeted me and helped check me in. NO one was there! No one was waiting and looking at the sign-in sheet only a few people signed in before in the morning. From there it was a breeze. It took not even 2 minutes to draw my blood after the lady told me to go to the back room. She found my massive vein and stuck it like a champ. Quick, easy, and painless for me. I don't have a weird thing with needles, I actually prefer to watch. Then I just left with a nice little gauze over the site they drew blood and I was on my way. 5 stars from me on friendliness, I lucked out on the quick service with no one in front of me waiting, they were professional, and it was done quickly. read more

This Quest is excellent because of Annette. The plebotomist Annette is professional, pleasant, and knows her job. I have to get my blood tested every month and she is always gentle. Just a real sweet person. Quest should give her a raise because the bosses would be thrilled if all their employees were as good as Annette. read more

This place is wonderful. My brother and I had to go in and get blood work done in an emergency situation, and Annette was FANTASTIC! It's so nice to have a friendly experience in a medical facility around the holidays! She was the only person in the office besides some other patients and never looked rushed or overwhelmed. I could see that everyone in the waiting room looked calm and relaxed, I'm sure due to her ability to create a calm atmosphere in what can be an uncomfortable setting for some. I also remembered and let her know that there was another circumstance in which I came in contact with her probably six or so months prior in which she was, again, super helpful and pleasant. Even though that facility wasn't able to provide the solution I needed, she helped me find and call another location and gave me directions!! I hope that her employer checks Yelp reviews because this woman deserves a raise or a bonus or at the very least a "job well done" from her boss!! read more

im a fan of quest the techs who work there are kind and considerate ; never had a problem there; sometimes you have a wait, its better to make an appointment; sometimes you have a long wait, but I wait longer at my gynecologist office; it seems that when your sick and going to doctors you do a lot of waiting; what can you do about that ? complain or just deal with it; some people complain about stupid things and quite frankly im sick of complainers. im glad there are many quests in my area read more
