I tried to book an appointment on-line, however, they had no open slots but could accept walk-ins. I had a light schedule so I figured why not, as I only needed a blood draw for a routine check-up. There were a few folks ahead of me, but I didn't feel like I waited that long, maybe 15ish minutes. There is plenty of parking in the back. The office itself has a rather small footprint and is on the middle floor. Signage to find it from other floors is a bit light, but security can point you in the right direction if necessary.

The person who took my blood did not introduce herself, the seat provided was very difficult to get into, the phlebotomist did not communicate in any way. I am short and the arm rest was above my heart level making it hard for the blood to flow. Instead of lowering my arm, she kept jamming the testube further in making it very uncomfortable for me. No apology... a robot might have been better. Lastly, and this is a continuing problem at this particular location in Manayunk, there is NO soap in the bathroom where you give urine samples. There are no paper towels and there is no trashcan. This is a major hygiene issue!!!

As we sat there, the only staff (the rude lady) opened the door 20 minutes late and screeched "if you don't have an appt I won't get to you today" and started to close the door. WHAT? Someone asked her about all day and she said yea all day and shut the door. There was an elderly woman in the lobby very upset who asked her multiple times over an hour for help and she said she was busy and would help her later. She then came out and told a man who had been waiting over 45 along with uis that she didn't have the proper "container" to take his specimen. He announced he had been there twice before with the same outcome and sad he confirm the delivery of the container came in two days prior. Meanwhile there are 15 minute appts intervals but in over an hour this rude woman had only taken in 2 people and send one away (remember she sauntered in LATE with no apologies to the small crowd of people in the hallway freezing). She walked in with her coffee and then unlocked the door from inside a few mins later (heard the lock) and no word to come in, nothing). She was the worst supposed professional I have ever seen and needs to be fired. At least two people waiting over an hour were calling their doctor offices reporting the whole thing. Another man walked in and saw who was working when she opened the door and he announced he was leaving after comgin twice before and the same lady treating him and others poorly. I don't know who this lady was but she was a nightmare! I hope Annette is still there and maybe had the day off or if not I hope she comes back because this lady needs to be gone!!

That being said, I gotta say this was the absolute worst lab testing I've ever had. The phlebotomist was really rude and mean from the beginning for no reason and made it a point to be nice to her co-worker in front of me, so clearly she wasn't just in a mood. She completely mangled my arm--I get blood tests all the time and I'm not afraid of needles but this was really bad. She jabbed me and jerked the needle around and then ripped it out, slammed the tape on and let me go. When I took the tape off a few minutes later, it was soaked in blood and there was a welt and a bruise. I get it, work sucks, people are rude, it's hard, but common lady, don't draw blood for a living if your bad mood is gonna affect your work. You're literally hurting people. It's honestly fine at the end of the day, I won't die. I just really would not recommend getting your tests here.
