I had an 11:45 am appointment and wasn't seen for another 2 hours and 40 minutes. They claimed to be 1 hour and 30 minutes behind for all appointments because they were "backed up." I asked an employee if the mobile check-in I completed through the link I was sent by automated text was enough, and I was told yes and that I could wait in my car and then be called when they were ready for me. Two hours later I asked for my status and was told I was never in line and that I should have (magically?) known I had to go up to the door and check in AGAIN ("how are we supposed to know you mobile checked in when our tablets are broken?" ?????) with an employee that kept switching between giving rude responses to civil questions and hiding inside to avoid all the angry customers. It's also not the best idea to have groups of customers huddled together outside the door in the middle of a pandemic waiting to be signed in. If you have a mobile sign-in for coronavirus reasons then you should probably use it or let people know ahead of time that it's broken. Avoid this place! It's not a great feeling to wait SO long after mistakes on their part just to receive an attitude from the employees and be handled unprofessionally. read more

This location sucks horribly. It's very nice that they tell you over the phone to make the appointment, you come in after fasting do an electronic sign in on a touchpad, go through all of the crap. And then they tell you oh we don't take that insurance. The most lazy and unprofessional place I have ever been to. I have been to other quest labs before. The Quest Diagnostics center in Pembroke Pines, in the Silver Lakes Community is the worst. The lady that was there at the entrance didn't even open her mouth. I told her that I had a QR code and she looked at me like I was an alien. Then she just point to the Kiosk like I was suppose to know where it was. WHAT AN ATTITUDE!! Appointments mean nothing here. Come to check in and they will still give you an 80 minute wait. There are 4 people coughing in the waiting room, there are 20 people waiting around total, most with appointments. This Quest location alone is likely responsible for some COVID spread here in Pines. Booking appointments should actually mean something, especially in this difficult time of social distancing, it seems Quest does not care if you get COVID or not. read more

The tech that took my blood was great. Very nice, profesional and good hands, didn't feel a thing. However, the wait time is ridiculous. My appointment was at 9:30 and didn't get called in until almost an hour later. But, the worst part is that I was not able to do my urine analysis because they said their bathrooms were not working. They did advise I can take home and I didn't have to wait in-line when I came back to drop it off, I would only have to sign in that I am dropping off a specimen and I can turn it in to the tech immediately. Easy, right? Wrong. I signed in and waited an an additional hour just to drop off my urine analysis. So basically I was forced to wait for two appointments for the same thing in one day. That is TERRIBLE! There has to be a better way to process these requests. It is truly unacceptable to have a customer wait twice. If I had a suggestion for readers I would say pick another lab. It is not worth the wait. read more

The employees here are unprofessional and rude. They don't give you a smile or a hello when you go to the window. She gave me a look like wtf r u doing at the window. I was the only person there at 6:30am! I can here the lady gossiping about someone she works with. And they're rude when they ask you to do something. Not coming back to this location. I had my blood drawn today by a magician called April, she said she was a floater with Quest. I hate needles and wait in apprehension for the needle to prick my skin. This place is horrible, they tell me I can send my husband in to drop off sample, all he has to do is sign in as a dropping off... well the person working at the time told him he had to wait 45 minutes when I was told he would be bumped to the beginning of the list. instead he waited and for the icing on the cake they made him give his cc card to cover 64.00 in case the insurance did not cover ????? I did that when I was there for the blood work.. He WAS there to drop off.... Needless to say there are too many of these places to have to come here again..... read more

I have had blood drawn at this location for many, many years. It's usually crowded, but making an appointment gets you in and out quickly as they keep to a schedule. Today I found two sign-in computer stations. It was very simple to use, and I was told it accommodates people in many different languages. There is a tv, and it lists the order of patients and approximate wait time. I was a "walk-in" today and was seen within 15 minutes. The phlebotomist, Samantha, is very skilled and friendly. I felt the tiniest pinch, while my husband didn't know she had pinched his arm!! It's a service that no one wants to have done, but it's wonderful to deal with the competent people who work at this location. read more

It's the luck of the draw. Your experience will vary depending on who draws your blood. Get the wrong person, and they'll traverse your vein, hit a nerve in the arm and either cause permanent damage to your hand or cause you severe pain and a sharp electrical like sensation through your arm you won't soon forget. Get the right person, and it's a painless experience. When I told the last phlebotomist of my experiences, she nonchalantly stated "yeah, every phlebotomist is different, we all use different techniques, don't worry, I got you covered". Really? Wrong answer! Everyone should use the same technique: 1. The patient's arm should always be straight and at shoulder height. NEVER put a needle in a bent arm, i.e. bent at the elbow. NEVER! Raise the armrest accordingly if necessary. Don't be lazy! Everyone is not the same height. This adjustment will save you from getting fired! I promise! 2. Always enter the vein at a low angle, NEVER greater than 23 degrees. If you don't know what an angle or degree is, then learn. If the patient complains of pain or a sharp electrical shock down the arm, stop immediately and withdraw the needle. 3. When changing blood collection vials, hold the rigid part of the syringe (the part stuck in the person's arm) very firmly, specially when pushing a new vial INTO the needle!! If you don't, you will perforate the patient's vein and hit a nerve, and you will be fired if you do it to me. I promise!! If you're a supervisor at any Quest Diagnostic collection center, train everyone to use the same steps above. If you're a patient, DEMAND that they use the above protocol before they injure a nerve that is critical to your hand. Don't trust blindly. Most phlebotomists have minimal training of 9 months. Most are newbies, as there is a very high turnover at most labs, and many are jaded, demoralized by low pay, and angry. Many cannot even spell "ulnar nerve". Don't gamble with your arm. The personnel up front should practice saying a good morning! Please and Thank you! they are rude ! there is not a smile or a welcoming gesture . They speak to you like it bothers them that you are there !! for a second I had the feeling I was at DMV ! had an appointment (Aug.23.2016 in the AM) .She tells you to sit down in a very careless way !then again this was just the girls upfront ! once I was called in the lady was very nice her name is Alejandra! smile and kind makes you feel very comfortable.. nothing to do with the way the girls up front talk to you ! HOWEVER!! I did go across the street with my mother to LabCorp because she had an appointment there and we were greeted with a Good morning!! welcome to labcorb do you have an appointment today ?
