Unethical, incompetent, and absurd. Consequently, I will have to report a grievance case to the Florida Board of Medicine. I made an appointment for a Friday because I needed several tests for my new physician job. When I showed up for the appointment, they said they couldn't provide all of the services since it included a drug screening test, which they do not offer on Fridays or Mondays. They gave me the option of going to a different LabCorp that was 45 minutes away, where I could walk in without an appointment. I decided instead to go home and schedule for Tuesday, which was the last day to meet the deadline for my new job. The front desk also told me I could show up at 9:00 a.m. Since I prefer to be early--and because I was fasting just in case--I arrived at 8:17 a.m. The front desk told me my check-in was invalid because drug screening services start at 9:00 a.m., and I would have to check in again at that time. So, I went back to my car and waited 40 minutes before checking in again at the kiosk. After I checked in at 9:00 a.m., I was called five minutes later and asked to email my employer's paperwork with prepaid barcodes to a very long and difficult email address with random alphanumeric characters--making it very easy to mistype. I was finally called at 10:00 a.m. and began the urine drug screening. After completing that service, the staff told me I could leave, but I reminded them that I still had two additional blood tests pending. They said this was handled by a different department, even though it was in the same location with the same personnel. I was asked to wait in the lobby and check in again for the other services. After waiting another 15 minutes, I was called to the front desk and told I had an outstanding balance of $180 from three years ago. Because of this, they said they could not provide further services--even though they had already taken my urine sample. It turns out they mistakenly linked my name to another person's account with the same name, who lives about 200 miles away. The address they had on file was one I had never seen before. I have never used LabCorp before. As a veteran, I receive all of my medical services through the VA. Despite this, they told me I would need to resolve the billing issue before receiving any additional services. I was therefore left with only one-third of the required testing completed, an unexplained bill, and disqualified from my new job because that day was my final deadline. I also noticed that several patients were waiting in their cars for a text message that never came. After one or two hours, they had to come inside to ask about their appointments. The office had a monitor showing the check-in status of patients, but the names on the screen did not match the actual patients waiting, leading to further complaints. There were also language barriers between employees and patients, and even among employees themselves. HIPAA regulations may have been violated at this location. As a physician, I would never send any of my patients here. I have been to Quest Diagnostics before, and their service is far superior to what I experienced at this LabCorp. read more

I am so grateful to Labcorp in Pembroke Pines - I needed very important labs and they were open on a Saturday - I arrived to the very sweet and quiet office tucked in a quiet corner of Pembroke Pines, checked in to the kiosk, and was called right away. I had an appointment and my doctor sent an order. The front desk could not have been less helpful. I waited for 30 min before I told them I didn't see my name on the check in list. Instead of apologizing she just said she thought I left. They said they didn't have an order so I needed to call. After a bunch of phone calls she said she actually found it and they checked me in. What should have been a 15 min appointment took an hour because of a front desk person that didn't do her job and didn't care at all. Super frustrating and horrible customer service. read more

Located by 184th Ave and Pines Blvd. Pretty much not difficult to located the area as it is in the center of the plaza. Lots of parking available. Try to come in as early as possible because wait times can be really long. Masks are required for service, so don't forget to bring your mask. If you have an appointment, and don't have a physical paper printed out, email a screenshot of your appointment to the email posted by the glass window. I wish I was told to do this because my appointment lasted longer. I needed to submit a urine sample and I understand why I there is no running water inside the restroom for obvious reasons. I do however, wish there was a separate sink OUTSIDE the restroom so we can wash our hands with soap and running water after we pee in a cup. Hand Sanitizers are however available at every corner so at least there's that. read more

Lazy and rude. The people at the front desk are beyond arrogant. Don't even try calling this office before hand, they don't pick up (every other labcorp will). They just said "it goes straight to customer service". They also seem to be the only Labcorp in the area that is never available for work mandated drug screenings. read more

This LabCorp location has untrained and incompetent employees. After arriving for service, I was told I had a balance too. She told me how much the balance was, and I handed her my credit card. She then proceeds to hand me a receipt for somebody else's account. It took me two times explaining the situation to her that I am not that person and she will need to reverse the charges. She informed me that was impossible and that I would have to call and spend lots of time on the phone with their customer service department. After calling their customer service department, I realized that they too are incompetent and not capable of grasping this situation. I would steer clear of not only this location, but LabCorp altogether as it appears their lack of professionalism and training is systemic. read more

APPOINTMENTS ONLY! As I waited to be called, I watched at least 9 people come in and get turned away for not having an appointment... there are other locations that do take walk-in's so just make sure you double check before selecting a spot. My appointment was at 10:30am (I got there at 9:40am thinking they'd squeeze me in at an earlier time, NOPE!!) and by 10:40 I noticed I hadn't been called like everyone else.... I walked up and the lady told me they had accidentally skipped me, lol.. I mean, come on. She didn't even apologize, she just said "let me get your paperwork". I work in healthcare so I understand that there's always a wait and that there's a process to everything, but this place seems to really be lacking warmth and organization. However, the lady who actually took my urine sample (didn't catch her name) was a sweetheart! Very kind and she explained everything thoroughly. Overall, I'm happy it's over since I just needed it for school, but I wish the experience would've been a bit different. read more

I chugged my 40oz bottle of water, hoping to go right in because I have never had to wait so long for a drug test... Bizarre experience today. Went for regular lab work, got in fast, reception was great, then went to get blood drawn from a technician that wore a loose cloth mask around his chin versus across his face. He was polite enough, but I had to ask him to pull his mask on. As soon as I walked out he took it off again and wore it hanging from his ears. Well, it's a testing facility for Covid, so I thought perhaps he was feeling very confident about his status, so I asked on my way out. "Do you all get tested for Covid regularly? I had an appointment at 11 buy I wet earlier at 7 to see if I had a chance to take my blood test earlier. Once I arrived I checking in on the machine and I was lucky to found a space to take my blood test almost right away . This option was giving by the matching. I wait aprox 12 mint they call My name at the front desk, to check everything was in order. And then 3 mint later I was called to get my blood test. The personal was attentive, fast, and effective. I was done in 5 minutes. Everything was clean, you have parking lot, it was my first time here at I really was positively impressed by the experience. The only thing that I did not like is that the nurse didn't put mi a bandage, only a pice of cotton with tape, but beside that everything was perfect. read more

I recently got a new job and they sent me here to do a drug test. At first I didn't know how it worked so I just showed up assuming that I could just walk in. Unfortunately I was mistaken it's an appointment only location. But on the bright side the lady that was at the front desk gave me a paper and showed me how to make the appointment. I called right then and there and was able to make a same day appointment for a couple hours later. When I came back it was a super simple and easy process I signed in and they called me in right away the place was really clean and the staff was super friendly. They were very informative with the process and they made it really quick. I had absolutely no issues with the drug test at all. I don't really have much choices when this is the last place with an available appointment. I'm assuming it's why the others are here too; definitely not for preference. You would think that appointments are so that there is a flow of in and out for the patients as well as the employees. They seemed to work hard not smart. They should take the information they need to confirm you if their window is open. Instead they tell you to sign in and look back at their screens. Not even a smile or nod or a "thank you, take a seat." I'm a patient patient and the ladies inside doing the testing are actually nice but the frontline needs a lot of work as they are the face of it all. *I came to get a glucose test in which I have to drink something and then wait an hour till I get tested. The obvious would be to take me in to drink it and then wait the hour I would already be waiting right? WRONG.. instead, I got put into the room at 9:18am to take the drink and wait back in the waiting room almost another hour when I initially arrived at 8:30am WITH an appointment. The service is awful and slow. Don't even bother making an appointment because (like everyone else has said) you will wait an hour more. People that came after me were called in ahead of me without explanation. The front desk clerk will reply with an attitude if you ask for an update on your wait time. It's absurd! This is the second time I have been to this Labcorp location to draw blood for routine labs. Compared to,the Plantation location where I usually go, this location is a little nicer and has a more "upscale" crowd. The waiting room is smaller and like Plantation, is sometimes "standing room only". On my first visit, which was on a Saturday, my son and I both went for labs and got in close to our appointment time. Yesterday, however, I waited for an hour....after my appointment time! I am not sure why they bother to make appointments if they cannot honor them. The staff was pleasant, but all I really want is a place that has sufficient staff so they can run on time. read more

Got here 15 minutes before it opened thinking it would be an in and out situation. NOPE, I sat there for an hour and a half watching people go in and out. People that came in after me were being serviced. When I finally had enough and asked what was taking so long the front desk lady rudely replied they were appointments. NEVER AGAIN will I return, I shouldn't have to wait 2 hours for a simple blood test that took 15 seconds to do. They need to hire friendlier and more efficient staff. This place is always behind schedule. They open at 7am. l. I arrived at 7:05 for a 7:15 appointnent. They didn't even take my details until 7:30. I didn't get seen until 7:50. I don't see how you can be over 30 minutes behind as soon as you open. Something is really wrong with the appointment system. read more

They seem to still take every one in the order they arrived which makes an appointment useless. I went to this location and the staff was very kind and wonderful. I was very scared and nervous to get my blood drawn but that day I was blessed and got a technician called Carlos . He was a sweetheart and made me take a deep breath before he was going to draw my blood and I did not feel a thing . I always have issues with my veins and he got it the first try . My experience with this lab was bad. I got a job finally. I take the employment drug testing here and after 2 or 3 days the results come out "inconclusive". I go again a second time and after a week goes by, my employer tells me that she was not sent the results. Moreover, during the second appointment here in this lab I had to wait for over an hour beyond the time of my appointment just to piss on a cup. Third time's a charm but this time I decide to go to ANOTHER lab farther away and avoid this one altogether. It is a mess. read more

One star only because I have to give them at least one. I've been to this location multiple times with the same result, FRUSTRATION. We shouldn't have to bother to make appointments since we don't even get seen until 90 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Yet, they don't take walk ins so you're basically scheduling a time you would like to sit in a chair for 90 minutes. Fasting for blood? Holding in your pee? Their unfriendly poor customer service "employees" will let you sarcastically know they are busy and "will get us in soon". Save your time and aggravation and go somewhere else. read more

First off, I will say the staff was professional and my blood draw was not scary and pain free. What I have to address here is the fact that this Labcorp facility is appointment only and many customers came in only to be turned away because they did not allow walk ins. They even turned away someone in a wheelchair and someone who just got dropped off and she had to call her ride back. I was one of the lucky ones but I felt bad for the loads of people they had to turn away. In addition to that, the computer system was down which made the wait times long for some. Again I was blessed to get in and out in a short period of time, but this facility needs a way of handling walk ins. Either allocate some of your staff to handle walk ins or post a sign. I'm sure this policy will probably provoke folks to visit other labs if they don't correct this. read more

The employees are always friendly and the people who draw the blood are great, but I should not have to wait 40 minutes to get my blood drawn when I have an appointment. I've waited longer before when I went earlier in the morning, I assume because most people come in super early because they are fasting. I waited 3 hours in the waiting room. I was the last person. This Hispanic man, I think his name was Carlos but I'm not certain, stands there talking to the women employees for 15 minutes. Total disrespect, as if my time doesn't matter. He finally acknowledges me, takes me to the back, sits me down and insists on keeping my arm at 90 degrees, which I warned him about. Then after he inserts the needle, this idiot gets on his tiptoes and reaches three feet over while holding on to the syringe AND balancing on one foot to reach for the vials. As expected, he sinks the needle deeper into my arm as he loses his balance, traverses the vein, hits a nerve and causes me severe pain and an electrical shock feeling in my ring and middle fingers. I was furious! I wanted to tear this ignoramous's head off! I spent 3 days with pain in my arm. Turns out LabCorp has been sued for millions and lost. When I complained to LabCorp corporate about this man's lack of proper protocol, they sent the complaint to the supervisor. Turned out the supervisor was the same idiot who drew my blood and could have damaged my arm permanently. I will never use LabCorp again. I insist on Quest diagnostics. If you use LabCorp insist they: A) straighten your arm by raising the armrest before they insert the needle B) hold the syringe firmly before they insert/remove new vials C) insert the needle at a very low angle, no more than 20 degrees, to avoid traversing your veins and hitting a nerve, causing permanent damage!! You must demand this. They will not do it voluntarily. They're too lazy and bitter! You've been warned. read more
