Finally get up there to an empty room and they close at noon it's 11:40, they won't take me because I'm considered a "walk in now" and they leave in 20 minutes.. but they have appointments after me. I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time and I was there 15 minutes early to check in. They only had two workers because someone had called out and they don't send in anyone to cover. I honestly feel bad for the workers and one of them had to stay all day to help out the other. They were very nice but it was unprofessional to not have enough workers. They sent walk ins home and when they asked if they could go to another location they were told all Quests are backed up, the computer systems were down, or they didn't have enough people working. Not a great experience and whoever runs these businesses should really make an effort to make things easier for not only the customers but the workers as well because it was extremely hectic and the two phlebotomists that were there were so stressed out. So, I drove to the lab to cancel an appointment that I could no longer make. I was told that I couldn't cancel there, do it online or just don't show up!! Without an appointment, there was a 3+ hour wait. I called nearby Enzo Lab. A person answered the phone, how refreshing! I went directly there and was in and out in 15 minutes. What an easy and pleasant experience. I was nervous to take my one year old for his bloodwork, especially with the low ratings. However, the process couldn't have been more smooth. Made an appointment online. Easily checked in with the QR code. We were taken on time. The waiting room was large and clean which was helpful with a mobile little one. The few others waiting/entering when we did all seemed to be taken in a timely matter as well. Faiza was warm and friendly. My son was smiling and happy. There were two other just as friendly staff members in the room at first, but my husband came so all ended up being fine. One even did check in to make sure Faiza didn't need help. Faiza's calm demeanor was that of all staff at our pediatrician's office. His vein didn't seem very visible at first, but she was able to get it (seemingly) easily. Always a great experience here. Today Ralph helped me and he went above and beyond trying to figure out my complicated test order. I highly recommend making an appointment because it's a busy location. They take appointments on time and are accurate with walk in approximate times. This is my favorite location and they are always stocked with the appropriate sample collection kits if needed. read more

We took our 2 yo daughter to this location for a routine blood work. As with most parents with young kids, we've had horrific experiences witnessing various attempts to draw blood from our newborn, infant, now toddler. My husband and I dreaded this visit and tried to mentally prepare ourselves to brace another ordeal we'd rather not go through - if we had another choice. We arrived about 15 minutes late for our appointment but the place was pretty empty, so the tardiness didn't seem to be an issue. As soon as we walked in they told us to bring our daughter into one of the rooms. The technician, whom we sensed immediately as she started talking to my daughter to calm her down and then asked for the butterfly needle, that she must have had experience working on children before - a very positive sign! Unlike other technicians from our previous experiences whom, in most cases, would jab the needle into my daughter and then poke around to try to locate a vein, this technician carefully observed several possible sites and selected one that she believed was the best one with the most visible vein. While my husband was holding my daughter and I distracting her, the technician swiftly inserted the needle into my daughter's arm and I saw red liquid flowing through the tiny plastic tube, jackpot! We later learned that the technician's name was Natalie. She wrote it down on a piece of paper and also gave my daughter stickers before we left. Overall, this has been a much more pleasant experience than what we had anticipated. The four stars are for Natalie for her professionalism, for the ease of making an appointment, for the non-existing wait time, and for the huge parking lot outside the facility. The missing star is for the high turnover of staff there. You never know what kind of experience you would have until you are there. Perhaps QD should really shape up its training and management of staff so that more people would receive quality service from exceptional employees such as Natalie. read more

DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE A CHILD!! I went in with my 9 year old son who needed to get his lab work done. He was feeling anxious as he is a child. The technician who called us had horrible bed side manner. She didn't even greet us or say hello. She took us to the room and went straight to the computer. She asked me for the Dr. Script and she spent the next 45 min attempting to log in the script into the computer. Thankfully another technician (african American women) came by to help. I told her my son was nervous and she agreed to draw his labs. The 1st technician was still on the computer the whole time and the 2nd technician tried to draw my sons labs and he started to scream as he was very nervous. I tried to calm him down and she kept reminding me that they had to close soon! Finally after the 2nd attempt she was able to draw his labs. Meanwhile the 1st technician was still trying to log in the script. The 2nd technician took over the computer and printed the scripts. As we were leaving the 1st technician picked up several blood samples and dropped them all on the floor. I was completely mortified at this point. Such a horrible experience. Quest lab needs to hire better technicians who are professional and have good bed side manner especially if you're working with a patient who is a child! read more

I went in for a walk-in (because they didn't have appointments available for another week and a half and I had an urgent test I needed done). I went to the front desk and all I did was ask for a walk-in appointment and apparently that was enough for the woman to start screaming at me in front of the entire office. I was blown away because all I did was kindly ask for a service that they were actively advertising online. She yelled saying that they were no longer doing walk-ins. I get that it's probably frustrating to have people come in looking for that all day if you're not doing walk-ins, but then take that up with corporate or your manager to get the website corrected- don't frantically lash out at a customer. I was shocked because to me it came out of absolutely nowhere. After expressing my urgency she said I could wait over 2 hours in the office and ~potentially~ get squeezed in if there was a cancellation but she wouldn't guarantee it. I asked if I could put my name down and come back later instead of waiting in the office (because I didn't want to be in a small room for so long with a bunch of people getting Covid testing) and once again she went off on me. It must've been so awkward for everyone else in the small space too, you could've otherwise heard a pin drop in there and instead everyone had to sit there and listen to the worker yell at people. I even tried calling before I went to confirm that I could go in for a walk-in and there was no answer. I tried calling after to get the name of the employee, but once more I got no reply. I can't speak to the quality of the technicians or any other process at this location, but my experience with online accuracy, phone access, and the front desk staff was 0/5. read more

I'm 60 years old. I have nothing but admiration for workers who are showing up during the virus-nurses, grocery clerks, lab techs. I can only say that I had probably the rudest interaction I have had in 50 years with a lab tech named "chanelle". She was insisting I had to mail a specimen in when 1-the lab itself told me i could mail in or drop off, 2-i had already dropped off here another specimen, 3-when you sign in one of the choices is actually to "drop off specimen". This person would not listen, would not let me explain and asked , and I quote "are you retarded?". This "girl" was the rudest most ignorant person I have ever dealt with in my life. She walked away without processing the specimen. I ended up leaving as none of the other lab techs helped. I filed complaint with Quest immediately and have not heard back in over 2 days. My husband had an appointment at 10:30 a. m. Friday, October 20th. The person at the front desk lost his reservation in the computer. She was incredibly rude, not helpful at all made him wait until 12:00p.m. At one point when he tried to speak to her, she shut the window making it impossible for him to speak. It was an awful experience and front desk people are supposed to have the skills to deal with the public.. Another horrible experience for my daughters! When making the appointments online, their age is clearly known when we arrive at the facility. How then is it possible to not have the appropriate butterfly needles for their "small veins". Instead lets try a bigger needle and dig around causing my girls even more anxiety.
