Donya, the phlebotomist, confirmed my identity and insurance professionally. However, I never had a phlebotomist caused my arm to be in such pain. I do not know if it was Donya's technique or the fact that she used my right arm. I usually let phlebotomists use my left, which has a more prominent vein. Donya told me to apply ice for about 15 minutes if it continued when I got home. It did not, but my arm was stiff and bruised (see photo below). She sai 18. Please know for blood draws 21 gauge is standard. The higher the gauge the thinner the needle in turn the lower the gauge the more thick and painful the draw.

Made an online appointment for routine bloodwork, checked in on my phone and waited in my car. The phlebotomist (sorry didn't get her name) texted me when she was ready and I was taken quickly. Facility is small but very clean. The phlebotomist was suited up with full PPE and face shield (COVID era), the blood draw was efficient and quick, and I was out in very little time. LabCorp has a patient portal with online test results, so one needn't wait for pokey doctors to disclose results (or not). I love that!

The most disturbing part was the elevator did not work to go up for the testing floor. You had to climb multiple sets of stairs to get up to the second floor. I would think they should make you aware of this when you schedule your appointment. Many people coming for testing are probably disabled and can't climb up stairs. Beware do not make an appointment at this site if you can't climb stairs. Also, 5 to 6 business days to get written test results. Unbelievable!
