I had an appointment at 10:50am. Upon arrival I checked in and noticed there weren't any seats, so I selected the option to sit outside and receive a message when it's my turn. I waited over an hour and half just to find out she called for my name at 11:00. But I didn't get a message until 11:09. I explained to her it took me 30 seconds to walk in and she kept saying that's my fault. What's the point of having that as an option if you don't message them before you "call" them. The lady was so rude and sounded like she hates her job. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

What used to be a receptionist window, covered by plants and no lights

Absolutely ridiculous that only a tv on the wall repeating info and a kiosk are there to answer all human interactions. Doctor says drop off specimen first thing in morning to quest, however if you arrive to do so, you will be met by that tv and kiosk only. Don't try to call, Quest does everything possible to hang up on you if you dare try to press a button that could potentially get a human. All phone options lead to other automated messages. Pay a bill, automated message, need a question answered - automated message, need a human - automated message. Quest is in the horrible customer service of no customer service and instead using technology that has no answers to real people in real time following real directions from real doctors. I made over 15 phone calls that never ever got to a human no matter what combo I tried. I used the kiosk at 7:01 am to find that first available appt that day was over 8 hours away. I made the appt. Come to find out that you must have an appointment to even drop anything off. I WOULD HAVE FULLY COMPLIED PRIOR HAD ANYONE OR ANYTHING AT ANY POINT SAID SO. Instruct and communicate to doctors. That paper you force them to turn in with the specimen is a perfect place to spell out your demands. Any sign in the place stating these things would also work. Instead, cold technology wasting time for lack of communication and information. Waste of time for the patients, shows no concern for who has to use them.

My previous experience at a Quest Diagnostics for a routine labwork draw near my home was not a good one. This week, I'd had a medical test involving a needlestick almost every day and I'm not an easy target. Today, I'd been stuck twice in my Cedar Hill doctor's office and they couldn't get the job done, so I needed to go to a Quest lab again. There's at least one in every suburb and still fasting (it's noon now), I took off for Mansfield. The other closer labs that were more highly rated were permanently closed. Go figure. This one, off of Highway 287 on Country Club, in a strip center near the Tom Thumb, was easy to find with plenty of parking. There was no one in the small office, just signs directing me to sign in. A brightly lit sign in computer on a pedestal directed me to type in basic personal information and informed me at the end that people with appointments would be taken before walk-ins. Okay. Oh, it wasn't talking to me. You had to be able to read and select your numbers and letters and press continue or next, as well as the information at the end. There was an elderly couple in the waiting room. I asked them if they found check in easy. It was the wife who had checked in and she had no difficulties with the process. I wondered though about people who cannot read, the blind, the wheelchair bound or who have many other disabilities, including something as simple as trying to stand there in crutches! I still hadn't seen a staff member yet. I noticed my name had appeared on the custom TV screen with what looked like possibly a wait time. Other people came in and signed in. A staff person appeared and called for the elderly woman. Another one appeared and called for someone who signed in after me; I'm guessing with an appointment. More people came in and signed in. More names appeared on the TV and then someone came for me. I never did see anyone appear in that little office. I had my labwork orders in hand. My phlebotomist was either good or lucky and thankfully, he got all my many tubes of blood. He had to leave the room for a butterfly, though. Then he had to leave the room to help someone else. He had to answer the phone and deal with that. He had the tourniquet on three times and was ready to draw twice and had to stop. Not very efficient. The penny pinching company is saving by not having a helper/supply tech/phone answerer person; but wasting the phlebotomist's time and the customer's time. Typical for a healthcare provider. The phlebotomist was professional, courteous, friendly and expedited his work as quickly as possible. Five stars for him. Absolutely.

You might as well not bother making an appointment here as they will take a walk-in over your appointment time.

That the lab said I did not have enough blood to do all the tests so I would need to come back in I went in this time it was a different lady and it was not so quick but she drew my blood for the second time I even asked her does this happen because not having a enough blood seemed odd she said yes sometimes I leave and receive my labs results next day so they results were forwarded to my doctor so that I could be cleared for surgery I get a email saying that my HIV test was missing so I review the copy sent to me and not only was it not completed but the paper work says that my blood from the original blood draw could not be used because "specimen received in a unspun tube not compliant with the tube manufacturer" so I was lied to and someone dropped the ball in the office that drew my blood I call the lab I believe in Austin the number was on my paper work and they did confirm that the HIV test was not even requested I call back to any lab and ask why the HIV test wasn't preformed and was told the male receptionist said I told him I did not need it WHAT never did I say that The lady on the phone said she noticed it on the document I gave them but when she asked him (INSTEAD OF ME) he said I didn't need it I asked for supervisor because im pissed and my results are suppose to be to my doctor that day The lady says if can come back in to get my blood drawn she will have the lab run the test so I inform her they still have my blood so just put in the request ( I confirmed with the lab already) So maybe about 5 minutes later a manager calls asking what he can do I asked if he could put a rush on it because I needed them same day he says he can't Offers a refund which I still haven't received and to complete the HIV test for free Oh I forgot I wasn't even charged for it which was pointed out to me and I was also told I should have looked at my receipt THAT I NEVER GOT Then the manger precedes to tell me the male receptionist said I did not want it and again I said I only told him I did not need the COVID test because I had already taken a test The manager said he would call my surgeon to take responsibility for the error which was never done because you know what happen MY SURGRY WAS CANCELED F this place and I better receive a refund fast or I will dispute the transaction with my bank
