That is not medical protocol. You meet with a new doctor, they do an overview of your health concerns, and then they order blood work if it is appropriate. Usually a doctor or health care works does ask for blood work just to see the overall status of a person's health, but it is not usual for someone to just come in and ask for blood work. I would hope that Tonya would come back and just do the normal new patient appointment so that she could really see the quality of care this clinic provides, especially Catherine Delaney.

The FIRST question was what medication are you on? ( What does this have to do with blood work?) I explain that I am on no medication and that I'd been prescribed anxiety medication in the past but it had been awhile. I was immediately informed that they don't prescribe narcotics. Well, that's a good thing because I only wand blood work done. I had to firmly explain that I am not a drug seeking addict and that all I want is an appointment for blood work. She says every doctor does this. It is not true. I called another doctor. I was scheduled an appointment and told I'd have an intake and would be asked about my medications. I was not medically profiled because of my mental health and accused of drug seeking. I do not reccomend this place if you have any mental health problems.

I wasn't sure of him at first because hes very quick and to the point but I asked him to slow down a bit and he was very accommodating. He has never tried to gaslight me or minimize my concerns. His staff is always friendly and helpful, though not always quick to respond to messages.

They sell the blood you donate to hospitals and clinics in need of blood. They legitimately do provide life saving blood to people in need as opposed to other plasma places that will sell your blood or blood products to companies that use it to manufacture beauty products. The few times that I went to Vitalant the Phlebotomist caused extensive bruising to my arm at the site of venipuncture. This is from not providing direct pressure to the site after discontinuance of the line. Like I said they are a legit place to donate blood that will actually benefit people in medical need of it.

Vitalant gave me a huge run around creating so much unneeded stress and pushing my therapy out weeks. I searched concierge phlebotomy and found mobile blood services. I called and after speaking with them could tell that they are professionals. I worked as an EMT in the ER starting thousands of IVs. She was polite, efficient, professional and quite fun to talk to. She takes her practice very seriously going above and beyond with care and the existence of a 20+ year knowledge base was evident with how she performed the job. Smooth and seamless.
