I had scheduled a mammogram and a dexa scan for the same day. Never been here before and the place is huge. Outside, lots of parking and easy to identify address. Walking into the glass facade, is the reception area. Large space, and at 3:30 on a Friday it was quite busy. RECEPTION: I was greeted at the counter and given several forms to complete. Upon doing so, I sat for a few minutes before being called by name. REGISTRATION: I followed a young woman to the registration area. She took my ids and chatted with me informally. I felt like I had an identity and this was a good start. She scanned in my documents and I was all set. CHANGING AREA: I was escorted to the changing / waiting area. The wall art is very artsy and the changing / waiting room is quite calming. Given a medical gown, I was instructed to just remove my clothes from the waist up and don a gown - place my stuff in a black tote bag and wait. Within minutes I was called. MAMMOGRAM: The tech was in casual clothes and I told her I liked the informal feel. She said that on Fridays they get to be casual. So, the exam was typical. She was quick and efficient. We had to retake on image, but it only took a few minutes. Viola. Done. So I was escorted back to the changing/waiting area. DEXA SCAN: A few minutes later, I was again called by another woman and she walked me a few steps to the next exam room. She asked me a few questions, confirming everything I had already completed on the forms that were scanned. She asked me to remove my shoes and then she weighed and took my height measurement. Next, she had me lie on an exam table and told me to breath normally. The unit above scanned all the right places and then in minutes I was sitting up and putting my shoes on again. I returned to the changing area, put my top clothing back on and was ready to leave. From start to finish, I was in and out within an hour's time and that was so appreciated. Best of all, I received my Dexa scan results on MyChart the following morning. This is a very well-run, organized machine and I applaud them! Everyone was very full of smiles and there was not a moment when I felt pressured or felt tension amongst the staff. read more

I recently underwent a series of medical procedures, including a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy, and I was thoroughly impressed with the care and compassion I received from the entire medical team. The first procedure was an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was very kind and overall thoughtful. The doctor came in afterwards and she was nice and informed me that I had to get a biopsy. I was told that there would be a metal marker placed at the site. They asked if I had questions- I didn't because I was stunned. So I had to call later to ask "what did you find?" "What size was it?" "I'm allergic to nickel" and even the person on the phone was kind and patient with my questions. From there the biopsy was scheduled. The day of the biopsy was the day all of Microsoft went down! But they were still able to see me. It was a different doctor this time and she was very caring, explained everything and kept asking if I was comfortable. This procedure didn't hurt, the only thing that was painful was the numbing, because needles. It was a quick procedure , then directly after the biopsy, I went to the next room for a mammogram, thank goodness for numbing! When I got the mammogram I was talking to the X-ray tech about the metal marker and she let me see it, it's shaped like the breast cancer ribbon, I thought that was cute. I mean if I am going to have metal in my body, why not have it be cute. Oddly, it made a scary situation a bit more bearable. Afterwards the nurse told me not to lift anything (not even a gallon of milk) if you are able, follow the directions because I had little to no pain for days after. When I removed the bandages, I noticed she had put like a Vaseline-like substance on them which I think helped with scarring because I didn't even have a scar! Love that! The doctor and the X-ray tech that guided the biopsy needle were awesome. I gifted them coffee! They were kind, and didn't hurt me and made an otherwise scary situation, bearable. read more

I truly am grateful for this effort bc it is difficult to leave my home and try not to get an "exposure" that will cause me to become ill. I was referred to High Resolution Imaging for an ultrasound for my cervix and thyroid. I was so very scared. The tech today was so kind, empathetic, professional, and treated me with respect and dignity. Within the first 5 minutes, I exhaled and knew everything would be okay. Any which way. I would be okay. I can't tell you how much I hate having to do any medical visit. The Imaging Center is the one facility that understands customer service!!The staff greets you as you enter...they make you feel welcome. The next step confirming insurance and obtaining signatures just as nice. Staff well trained. I was taken in at the time for my appointment, not having to wait with no explanation or apology for their tardiness. Seems to be the rule in the medical office world these days. One of the digital imaging machines was not functioning the day I was in. A tech was kind enough to explain the situation even offered to reschedule if too inconvenient. Waited a half an hour but didn't mind. Their professionalism is unmatched. Will continue to return for future needs. read more

Getting a mammogram or x-ray is never fun, but the staff are all very warm and patient, the facility is always very clean and has a small complimentary beverage station for water or coffee. I believe RAA does a great job to hire positive and helpful staff. They have always been so kind, patient,warm and thorough from the reception area to the imaging experts. I've had it with these imbeciles. First, they code the wrong procedure for my insurance and harass me for months about paying $1100 that I didn't actually owe. My insurance told me to tell them this multiple times and they couldn't get it through their thick skulls. So my insurance finally had to call them to tell them how to code it. And they still messed that up! So now I owe another balance that my insurance says I don't actually owe them. These people are incompetent buffoons who don't actually work with your insurance. Avoid at all costs! Edit: Did I mention they sent me to a collections agency and they dropped my credit score by 55 points? Yeah, screw these people. read more

I really liked the clinic, feels very much NOT like a doctor clinic. I felt warm and soothed while waiting on my ultrasound. The tech was very nice, things went smoothly and very quickly, getting me on my way to work in a timely manner. Results came quickly to my doctor, within 30 hours. Very pleased! read more

Do not come here if you are latino or black! Last year this racist white company helped my doctor set me up by pumping me up with so much contrast that I had to go to the emergency when I got home and when I tried to call the tech about my symptoms for advice they kept hanging up on me and told me to stop calling because they know Dr Jason Mudd very well subliminally threatening me and it turns out the reason they gave me so much unnecessary contrast is because they were trying to help this doctor get abnormally clear images to help him map out his malicious intents for 6/29/19 without killing me. This doctor set me up, mutilated me brutally and framed the whole thing in secret and tried to deny performing any surgery on me in a supposed surgical FREE procedure like the coward he will forever be and this company was working with him every step of the way to help him to do it correctly. This place needs to be shut down immediately and promptly investigated. These people need to be locked up and given the death penalty for what they are doing and if you are reading this just know that you are playing rush and roulette the very second you walk into their building as a minority. I am way to young for what they did to me over biased bs. They are all connected. I even tried to report everything to the State Medical Board and they refused to launch an investigation immediately after I told them I had evidence. The doctor was even mocking me at my post op appointment trying to get me to lose my cool so I can go to jail next because "I fit a description". I have been suffering disgustingly for almost 2 years straight now from my injuries and being consistently denied any treatment from other providers based on the nature of how I got them for litigation reasons. I pray I can help even just one person avoid what happened to me last year because I will never be the same. My wife has a family history of breast cancer. Members of her immediate family got cancer (at her age) that wasn't caught on mammograms but was on ultrasounds. For this reason her and her doctor felt it critical to have an ultrasound screening. RAA Imaging ignored her doctor's orders and refused to provide an ultrasound screening without first having an abnormal mammogram. When my wife's mammogram did not show obvious signs of cancer, they refused any further screening. After multiple back-and-forths between her, her doctor and RAA, they still wouldn't budge. My wife even offered to pay out of pocket if the insurance wouldn't cover it. Still they refused. They provided no reason except that it was their policy and that others do it this way. RAA's office staff was rude, condescending and inflexible. They had no respect for my wife, her doctor or their joint medical decisions. read more

Very professional and courteous and if you already have insurance and are over 35 you can self refer for a mammogram...I like the fact that they're open starting appointments 7am and although that's wicked early for me, best to get it outta the way in your day. Plus the lobby is basically empty that early and you can get on and out fast!!! read more

I recently had a little scare, and was sent here for some further tests. This place was great, actually. I was surprised to be so happy with my visit since my recent experiences with the health care system have been dismal. I called to schedule an appointment yesterday morning. To my surprise I was able to get in the same day. When I arrived I was greeted by the front desk in a friendly manner. I had to fill out the usual paperwork, and was directed to a coffee station that offered regular/decaf coffee and espresso & hot chocolate. I barely had a chance to sip my espresso before I was called. Perhaps the first time EVER in Albuquerque that I didn't have to wait past my appointment time. Everyone I encountered from the front desk, to the techs, to the radiologist was very friendly and professional. I am glad that I won't have to be returning here any time soon, but feel confident that if I do have to go back I'll be in good hands. read more

With my mom's recent broken ankle/leg, I had the opportunity to use RAA, as her PCP sent us there to get X-rays. The place is easy to find, clean, and friendly. We were walk ins and were told it will take 45 minutes, and guess what!!! I was pretty much exactly 45 minutes, I love that when expectations are met. The staff that took my mom's X-rays was wonderful and friendly. They also had a wheel chair that I used to motor her around while we were there, which was a huge help and reduced her pain considerably. They read the X-ray in minutes, got me talking to my PCP, and we were on our way with in an hour of arriving. Super fast in my opinion. read more

this facility and staff are top notch. i underwent a stereotactic biopsy. this procedure sometimes follows when a mammogram reveals irregularities in results, so i was feeling stress on a couple of levels. i had heard a few horror stories from friends, stating pain, extreme discomfort and such. (as an aside, don't do this to people. seriously, what are you thinking? save your stories for afterwards!!) the staff is professional, warm and knowledgable. they answered questions and presented the procedure honestly but in a calming manner. before dr. lewis performed the biopsy, she went through it, again, also letting me know that my comfort was a priority. i honestly felt no pain, just struggled with the challenge of holding absolutely still! they even provided a comfort tech to hold my attention and my hand, if needed! as i await my results, i want to let them know how much it meant to have this very positive experience. thank you! read more

My son got service from this company while at the ER in Rust hospital. They sent me several bills, and I contacted them 3 times over two months. I explained to them that they needed to bill my insurance company and I provided their contact information. 3 months later I receiving a collection letter because they never followed up with my insurance. I have had multiple procedures at RAA: several ultrasounds, regular mammograms, 3D mammograms, x-rays and most recently an MRI. RAA has been great for all of them, but my recent MRI was about as good as it can get for what is generally an unpleasant experience. I'm highly claustrophobic and my doctor originally sent me to a hospital radiology unit for a traditional MRI. Despite taking a sedative, I was unable to even get all the way positioned in the tube before panicking. I rescheduled my own procedure at the open bore MRI at RAA. My doctor increased my sedative to a double dose, but I still felt no effect and was terrified when I was called back for my procedure. The tech was very forthcoming, explained why this particular machine was easier, and was very matter of fact about the steps that would help me make it through. He was correct and the procedure was easier than I every imagined it could have been. The tube was so much wider and I was position so that my eyes were looking out of the machine. Although, I would rather not ever have an MRI again, if I do I will go to RAA first! The scheduling team and receptionists were all fantastic as well. read more
