i have been trying to get a primary doctor through Optum since Janury. each call is answered with "call again next month." Why do you sign people up when you don't have the physicians to take care of those already registered with you. Yet every week someone from Optum calls me to encourage me to get my annual exam. sad read more

Optum at 9101 Montgomery Blvd NE doesn't care if you need a medication refill. They don't care if you have ran out. You call and they say they will expedite it. Days later the pharmacy still doesn't have the authorization. The pharmacy tech calls and they claim they had no knowledge you needed a refill. You physically go to the clinic and tell them and they say they'll have the on call doctor get the refill sent since your pcp is out. Days later there still is no refill approved. This place just wants people to die. read more

Optum in Tramway/Encantado does not call back. My pressure medicine did not work and I had low blood pressure. I called on Monday, they said they are labeling as ASAP and full week has passed no call and no accountability. read more

I have, on multiple occasions, tried to get through to a human being. I waited for a return call, just this morning, for 4 hours. I have had 4 different doctors since being a patient. They keep quitting...wonder why? If I was as slow at paying my bill as they are in returning calls, they would certainly not be happy. I find more of the people than not working for this place to he less than professional...they don't do their job very well. read more

Doctors rush patients in on a conveyer belt. I was literally told to, "pick one thing to talk about because I only had 15 minutes". I was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and had more than one question. Absolutely ridiculous. The list of issues I have had could fill a book. 0/10 read more

Optum closed the Orthopeadics depeartment. They had a great Urgent Care and closed it. They only have one Dermatologist and she quit. My first Primary Doctor quit so they gave me a new one who I saw for years. I just called to make appointment with him and he is no longer taking Medicare, no letter, no phone call, no email. Worst experience at a medical office EVER! Not only is the entire front office staff completely untrained in basic customer service skills, but they also pose a threat to patients' lives because of their ineptitude and inability to get the details right. This is the kind of stuff you hear about on TV where someone "goes in for a routine something or another and because of a simple paperwork processing error, a different, unnecessary and invasive procedure was performed!" so BEWARE! This place is scary! On top of all that they layered on the billing to my insurance for things I wasn't covered for, without communicating that to me whatsoever. So they're clearly just going to bill for everything they possibly can, which is their prerogative I guess, But I should have been made aware of what was being billed for before I had any procedures done. And I get that with Insurance companies it's impossible for them to know every detail of what's covered and what's not, but a little "This is what we're billing for, we assume X about your insurance, but that's not up to us. just so you're aware you might receive a bill for this" goes a LONG WAY! My Dentist does that, every previous doctor I've had does that... So I called billing and told them all this, they said there's nothing they can do about it. Someone called me to talk about the "customer complaint" and his job was clearly just to make me feel heard, but not to do anything about it whatsoever. To paraphrase his position on all this, "We're too big a company to train staff on the details." Wow. Okay fine, lesson learned, I'm not going back here ever, and I don't recommend you send anyone you love here, it's dangerous. I'm just glad I got out with a small bill vs a prescription for some drug I didn't need or something like that! I told them on the phone that I would be leaving a negative review, and they said "I understand." So, they had their chance to correct this, or just write off the bill, or do something to keep the customer satisfied, but they chose to do nothing. So, if they even respond to this review on here with something like "We're sorry, please reach out so we can do our best to correct" or something like that, it's too late. Optum Healthcare is so poorly managed it's better to not try. It is time for my mammogram. I have dense breasts so they need an ultrasound. I told my doctor and he wrote orders for mammo, ultra sound, and bone density. I got to radiology on my appt. day and was told that's not how they do it. I calmly left. I am tired of having to make two trips because they do the mammo then call me back, saying I have dense breasts and they need to do an ultrasound. Then my ins. refuses to pay because I already had a mammo and I'm stuck with a big bill. Ir's amazing that they can ignore the doctor's orders and my experience of 30 mammograms. THIS PLACE IS SO BEHIND THE TIMES AND TREATS PEOPLE VERY BADLY. read more

This review is primarily for Optum Radiology (which used to be DaVita and was something else before that!). I have been going to the Journal Center location for my annual mammogram for four years and every single time it is super fast and friendly. For my most recent visit, I was in and out in 20 minutes! They have a 3-D mammography machine, which I really appreciate--better imaging and less pain. They also send me a letter and call me every year to remind me it's time for my annual mammogram. I also had a foot x-ray at the same location a couple of years ago that was also very efficient. I've never had issues with insurance being charged incorrectly, etc. They seem to be on top of everything! read more

I have been with Optum Albuquerque on Journal Center Dr. for 6 years. The first 2 years were with a very good doctor with a not-so-friendly personality. He retired and I've had I think 2 other doctors since. They have been fine. HOWEVER, now I am not allowed to make an appointment unless I see a doctor at 8:30 AM --in the morning. Period. No matter when--It is now October and I tried to make an appointment for January anytime after 10am--NO NO NO only appointments at 8:30am. Can someone explain to me the logic here??? Just why am I paying them to treat me like this? So I have now missed two appointments and I really should see a doctor--don't you think??? But they will only give me an appointment at 8:30am. Optum once had 4 floors busy with all kinds of doctors and nurses, etc. The top 3 floors appear to be vacant, the ground floor has closed off the opthamologist (sp) store. Where is everybody? Well I'm not there because they want me to get up at 6:30 am to see them. Just who is paying whom???? I am now looking for another provider. read more

Optum what to say..... my friend had very high blood pressure on Friday and called the office of his primary care doctor. This is the office on Tramway. The nurse returned his call and said to double the blood pressure meds and he could see a doctor on Monday. He drove up for his appointment and was then told the appointment was the office near the airport. Well missed that. He now has an appointment on Wednesday at the Tramway location. While there not one person took his blood pressure. Worst communication and care ever! read more

I wanted to leave a review for the Coors location, but cannot find it. I had to go to the ER twice, and was diagnosed with gout. I was told to follow up with my primary care. I have phoned 3 times, and have never received a call back. I'm now going to run out of medication. I am in extreme pain, I guess I will have to go back to the ER. If I could give Optum no stars I would. My mom's inability to put weight on her right leg started 4/27/23. She has seen 3 doctors and still has not received approval to get a walker. All have agreed she needs one but all have failed to submit authorization to get the walker. I was soo frustrated that I called Optum Corporate Customer Experience two times, left a message and have not received a call back. I guess they really don't want customer feedback. It's almost been a month since we tried to pry a walker from Optum, and because we are tired of waiting for Optum to do their job, we went to Savers on Carlisle and bought a used walker. If you are looking for a supportive, efficient primary care, I recommend you avoid Optum. read more

This is for Optum CORPORATE. I used Optum for my OBGYN. I tried to call in a prescription recently and was told they CLOSED all "women's health" before the new year. Seriously? You closed an entire area and didn't warn any of your patients? Women's health just goes poof? That decision by corporate, and that treatment by corporate shows me I am not valued as a patient. So up date on the blood pressure problem It's because I am taking to much of my thyroid meds - the doctor from this spot is so uneducated that he just did not do his job!!! If he was willing to give a patient blood pressure meds who takes thyroid med with out a blood test and knowing could of put me in harms way wait I don't think he is even educated in hypo or hyper thyroid issues cause he basically told me that Hashimoto's thyroid ism has nothing to do with each other, so he should not be a person doing anything for this company send him back to school! You need to train your doctors now to be a doctor who collect patients history befor opening their mouths assuming and making people feel like shit and then saying they are done and will walk you to the front after saying what he did with out even taking a moment to check for him self .
