She told me I had to sign in anyways which I did then I sat there for 10 minutes when another girl walked up and she helped her and she didn't sign in with my frustration of being here since 10 this morning and it's already 230. How long do I need to wait to pick this kit up so she end up calling another nurse which helped me within two minutes so kudos to the thin Asian nurse that came up and helped me I wish I got her her name, but the young receptionist sit behind the desk needs to learn a little bit of manners. I guess their walk in system sets you up with the closest appointment available, which was convenient for me since I got the day off. At 3:01 Miss Claudia took me back, and by 3:06 she was done. Self check in with easy scan for ID and insurance card - my appointment was 8:40 am and they called me at 8:42. Lab Technician was friendly and skilled and the process was as smooth as could be. This is for the location inside Southwest medical on Tenaya. I've been a phlebotomist for 13 years and when a pt asks for a butterfly, the phlebotomist has to use one. This time Romina, the phlebotomist, lied and tried telling me the regular needle is smaller than a butterfly. I know this isn't true due to my profession. She then backpedaled and said they don't have any as a baby was strapped to a table next to me which would 100% used a butterfly. Mid sentence of me telling her I would pass out, she stuck me anyways without caring what I said. Completely ignorant and uncaring! Today I had an exceptional experience at this quest. The beautiful woman that took my blood her name was Felicia. She made me feel so comfortable and she was so cheerful. Today I had a death in my family and had to come in before my appointment and she was so compassionate. She put me at ease and left me in a state of actually laughing when I left. This is incredible service and I just can't thank her enough if you're looking for a place to get your blood drawn, I would strongly suggest coming to this laboratory. I called three times to make sure I was in the correct location and no one answered. It's in MOUNTAIN VIEW HOSPITAL on the 2nd floor. I definitely didn't expect it to be in a hospital but let my confusion not be yours, it is. The wait with an appointment was about 20 minutes. And my phlebotomist my super sweet, and super quick. If you want efficient and respectful medical care definitely don't go here. I simply want guidance from the medical field. I was recently trying to get bloodwork following a very complicated surgery that has been causing me so much discomfort. Ive been in complete agony and only want to find healing. I went wanting to get my bloodwork done and they must have called 20+ other patients before me and when I asked how much longer they were very rude and with attitude expressed that Id have to wait another hr. On top of the 2 hrs I already had to wait after fasting. I'm in a very delicate state after this surgery and I just want help with healing . And it essentially felt like she was having a bad day and made sure I had a bad day waiting for my basic bloodwork. When I could have been cared for right away like every other patient was. I don't feel I was treated fairly and neither does my daughter who's taught medical assisting and is very proficient , if not an expert in assisting in efficient medical care. read more

Went for a blood work up and it was quick and easy. Charlene was the person taking my blood samples and it was quick and painless. Very good and relaxing you and making it a pleasant experience. The check in was on line and it worked perfect. You can check in when you hit the parking lot and then it will let you know when you're about to be called. The lobby has a television and water fountain with cups (both hot and cold water options on the fountain). There were several people when we got there, and were called back on a regular basis. My spouse said the phlebotomist did well (no issues getting blood drawn). The waiting room appeared clean and tidy. I did not go in the back, I wasn't there for a procedure. She was personable, professional and got the job done quickly by drawing my blood and getting me in and out of that office within minutes. A big tip for everybody if you can is to set up an appointment prior to coming in. I did that online and I was in and out in minutes. There were people in the reception area that were grumbling about having to wait. I made an appointment on line a few weeks ahead of my visit. This location is inside Mountain View Hospital. The lobby is TINY. When I arrived, I checked in via the IPAD and my phone using the QR code that was sent to my email. No one greeted me or asked me any questions. My name and approximate wait time was on the TV screen. I waited about 10 minutes and was called in my phlebotomist. I told her that it was only my second time getting blood drawn and that I was a bit nervous. She and I talked the entire time of the procedure. She was very patient and encouraging which helped me stay calm. I am still bruised and sore over a week later, but I have no doubt that is just because of my body, not because of the manner in which she worked on my arm. I came in fasting & my pcp did not send the order so I did the other doctor's order 4 mos ago. Deborah, the phlebotomist, was very nice, friendly & listens to my frustration of the other Quest location was always solid booked., no appt. available. I also mentioned to her I couldn't find future blood test to do on Quest Diagnostic patient portal. Deborah understood my frustration & gave me a number to call customer service for inquiries. Full disclosure, I'm a total squeamish wimp when it comes to needles. I hate em, and want nothing to do with shots or blood draws. So a routine physical requires me to go into Quest for a sample. The wait on a Friday morning wasn't too bad. I have my name called and I'm told to go into room #1. It's actually a stall, but ok. The phlebotomist is busy doing whatever, so no greeting. Eventually after standing there like an awkward idiot, I jokingly blurt out "Hey I'm really squeamish over here. Do I sit or uh..." He doesn't even look at me and replies "I'll be with you in a minute." Great. So more awkward standing there for a what feels like forever. He then motions me to sit in the torture bench while snapping on his lycra gloves. He grabs my arm and wraps the elastic band tight around my bicep. Then he picks up his clipboard and starts pulling vile after vile from the shelf. I'm like how many gallons of my blood do they need? Still not having uttered a single word since he told me to wait earlier, he grabs my arm and proceeds squeeze and feel around for my vein. At that point I'd had enough. I'm gonna pass out, so I pull the band from my arm while I get up and walk out. Freakin' vampires. read more

Get there early like at 630,even though they open at 7, believe me you'll be in and out of this place in 15 mins. Within 5 mins of arriving, there was already a line of 5 people behindme. I was the first at the door and they opened promptly at 7am. I signed in and within 2 mins I was called back. Kathy took excellent care of me and got me in and out within 10 mins. I always go to the Burnham site. The front desk people are very polite and friendly. They have iPads to sign in with. Then flat screen has your initials and your wait time. Even when it was full, and I was a walk in, I was all finished in less then 30 minutes. Usually it is not that full because of the fast staff, both at the front desk, and the draw side.
