Great phlebotomist available here and the location is clean. However, it seems like they're always short staff and running behind. This location starts appointments at 8:10 am but every time I've come it's still an additional 15-20 min wait. I'm not sure how the system works but it seems disorganized because people who just walked in were being seen before people who were the first and second name on the list. read more

I will start by saying I'm a hard stick, my veins are small and like to hide. Blood draws can be traumatic for me if they cant find my vein. I ended up at Quest after my Doctor's office couldnt find my vein after a poke in each arm, so probably needless to say, I was nervous to go for my blood draw today. However, it turned out to be a good experience! My phlebotomist was Jenica and she did a great job! I let her know I was a hard stick and asked for heat packs. She put heat packs on both arms and was able to easily find my vein. Definitely ask for a heat pack if youre a hard stick and ask for Jenica! read more

This is by far my favorite QD location. Located inside Hoag by the entrance of building, lots of parking, clean, quick, and really friendly and personable staff. Highly recommend scheduling an appointment online (which was really easy to do) instead of a walk in. Lots of availability to choose from. Overall great website. Before my arrival I received a text and was able to check in on my phone and didn't need to use the kiosk since I had been there before. I need to get my blood drawn and Vanessa always does a fantastic job! She can find my vein easily - when other providers can't. She's also quick and efficient. I am in-and-out in less than 10 minutes when she is the one who does the service. I am also happy with the staffing change. The lab is running smoothly, with less wait time compared to before. After being here quite a few times, I can confidently say this is my favorite Quest location even though there's a closer one near my home. I found myself having to come here without an appointment, and even though they were completely booked with no availabilities, they were able to squeeze me in relatively quickly (I signed in as a walk-in). I even have a favorite phlebotomist here: Vanessa! She is beyond kind and accommodating! I truly can't say enough great things about her. And lucky for me, I usually end up getting her! The space is clean and quiet, and there are ample seats. And unlike other locations, both kiosks here actually work. :) read more

Josie was incredibly gentle, patient, and professional from start to finish. I usually get nervous with blood draws, but she made me feel completely at ease and talked me through every step. I barely even felt the needle! Her friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out. Just had a worst experience ever. The walk-in process is a joke. Walked-in this morning at around 8:15am when the facility opens at 8:00am. There was a couple walk-ins ahead of me and a few people with appointments, so I decided to wait since the next scheduled appointment was over a week out. One by one they were taking the walk-ins and I was next in line but waited over 3hrs and had to leave without getting serviced. When I asked the personnel when I'll be seen since I'm the next walk-in they stated that they would need to service the people with appointments first and wasn't able to give me any information except to make an appointment. I understand walk-ins are taken after individuals with appointments but over 3hr wait just to get blood drawn is absurd. I feel that they could have been a bit more understanding and considerate of people waiting for a long time and try to squeeze in people for a 5min blood drawn. read more

Worst service!!! How do you make your appointments wait and wait and wait and wait. Then tell the patients with appointments "we are busy and we have to take our lunches and we are short handed today". It's 11:30 am and my appointment hasn't been taken care of and I have been waiting. Your system should take people in as they check in for their appointments so they're not waiting for hours and hours. Also no one should be taking their lunch together and spread out your employees lunches so they can service patients of your short handed. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by no one. Your CEO will hear about this and we cannot be treated this way. read more

I checked in 15 mins early to my appointment wasn't seen until 50 minutes after my appointment time. And once I was finally seen by somebody, the person administering the test has to move the needle around in my arm four different times to find the vein and I'm not somebody who's overweight, literally have visible abs and my veins clearly show. Absolutely ridiculous. How hard is it to take to put a needle into someone's arm when it's all you do for 8 hours a day??? read more

This location was nice and clean (likely because it was brand new). It was also a convenient location for me. I had an appointment and arrived 10 minutes before the appointment. There was no person at the check in station, but there was an iPad that I spotted later to check in. Checking in wasn't that hard, but I can see it being more of a struggle for the older folks that aren't as well versed as using technology. I do think it would probably be more obvious that the iPad was for check ins if it was located near the check in area. Anyways, the staff here were pretty nice, but they're clearly overworked and understaffed. The waiting room was obviously packed and the TV clearly showed just how overworked they are. Needless to say, they do fall behind on their appointment times, which I'm not a big fan of. As the TV showed while I waited to be seen, 1 person was waiting to be helped with TWENTY FOUR people with appointments coming up within the next hour. They really need to overhaul their appointment system as they're clearly booking more appointments than they can handle. read more

I have some test and to I should be fasting to do do those tests. I came to this lab yesterday as a walk in and registered and waiting for long time and they didn't take me, l had to leave because I was fasting and didn't feel alright. I went in line as I was told and made an appointment for Next day, for 11:30 an , they called me in at 11:50 I'm 72 years old and I can't stay fasting until 12 , 12'30 pm. The nurse said they are short handed but in the back there are 4 nurses standing and socializing.. when in waiting room six people are behind their appointment time, and one patent left without being seen because he had to go to work.. read more

I am so upset. I have to do a difficult collection process and turn it in within the hour or the sample starts to degrade and give a false negative. Worst place I've been to for a lab. Staff was unorganized and not friendly. I waited over an hour. The lady told us she would take the remaining stand-by patients before the end of the day. 30 mins later a different staff member walks out and says for all standby patients to go home. I came in with an appointment for a blood draw and was greeted by a lady w/ pinkish orange hair, Kathy. It was okay at first. Until she said your bill for today's blood draw is $400+. I was shocked and very upset. I had the same insurance for the past 15 years. She asked for my information again to confirm. Mind you I had already scanned my DL & Ins card at check in. Then she showed me the bill was in fact $400+. What I saw was someone else's information, PCP, address. Clearly she was wrong. She kept telling me "don't be upset!" She's so rude! I was not happy, almost made a scene and about to walk out. Then comes Arlene who saves the day! Nice lady. Explained the error on their part and took accountability. The bill came out to be $53 and blood draw went smoothly, no issues like every other person I've encountered here. If you come here, be aware of the bad customer service and rude staff. read more

Located inside the Hoag facility, this Quest is probably the nicest one you'll ever walk into (unlike most Quests that feel like a DMV office or prison camp). Upon entering the front doors of the Hoag Health Center, veer all the way to the right and you'll find yourself in the Quest Diagnostics office where you will find a reception desk and self check-in kiosks. Take a seat in the modern, comfortable waiting area and watch your name & waiting time appear on the wall monitor. You can make an appointment to make certain your bloodwork is done quickly or you can walk in. On the weekday morning I came the walk-in wait time was only 5 minutes. The phlebotomists are friendly and good at their jobs. I have difficult veins to find and yet my phlebotomist drew blood quicker than any I've ever encountered. She was obviously very experienced. It was painless and no bruising. They also have very clean and spacious restrooms if you find yourself needing to give a urine sample. If you live anywhere in the area you'll be thankful to choose this Quest location for your blood draw. read more

I asked my dr what happened and they had to question quest to find out that they had lost my sample. Now I have to take time out and go again. The phlebotomist are generally fine, I like the results app but I like NOTHING else about this company. Every time I have tried to reach anyone in person there is absolutely no one. There is never anyone manning the front desk, it is completely empty everytime and at all hours. The phone line only tells you to go to the website after being on hold. So if your answer cannot be found on the website you are s*** out of luck. If there is even a slight deviation from a perfect process of getting a lab order to the results (like you know, from human error???) you'll waste hours trying to sort it out if you ever do. This whole company seems to only want machines as patients or working for them. I hate them SO much. read more

This Quest in particular never disappoints. As somebody who hates their blood being drawn (but unfortunately has to have it done often) I always get nervous and panic beforehand. Each time I come here, the staff are always great at talking me through it and distracting me while the process is being done. The quality of care is above and beyond what I would have expected, and I never leave with any bruising or marks like some other facilites. 100% recommend! read more

I had a positive experience at Quest Diagnostics (Foothill Ranch) this morning. Vanessa V. was very pleasant and comforting. She made sure to ask me if I'm doing okay. I mentioned that Phlebotomists in the past have had a hard time finding the vein, but she found one right away. She was very careful when she reloaded each of the 5 vials. I also go to the Hoag Health Center beside it. The whole Foothill Ranch building is very clean and easy to find parking. read more
