Hard to rate Quest because each clinic site is different in services and staff. Plus side is that they do walk-ins with short wait times. Lab results are quick. Down side is the tangled phone system which has no real people to talk to. I have 3 Quests near me. Jones Rd and FM 1960 near Fallbrook sites are minimalist. 1960, door was open but window blinds were down even tho it was an hour before posted closing. Pushed the little service bell several times, no answer. Waited 20 minutes then left. My favorite was 290 at 1960, but generic lab tests have been eliminated. Too bad since the waiting room is comfy with tv and free Keurig coffee, water, and has pop & snack machines. Down side was their blood draw person was excellent but left. New person jabbed me mid arm and left a huge 3-week bruise. 4 stars mostly for the fast walk-in service, fast results, many locations. read more

They were very busy at 7AM! I waited 30 minutes, no fault of the employees. A great majority of the clients are technology illiterate. They kept bothering the techs to help them sign in; therefore, delaying everyone else's process. Once I got called, everything went quickly and smoothly. NEEDS A DARN SIGN out front!! There's NO sign that tells you where the place is and no one answers the darn phone! I had a 730am appointment and couldn't find the darn place. Very please with my appointment here recently. Location was easy to find and plenty of parking. I guess they use to not have a sign but there is one now. When you get inside you go to the right and check in at the kiosk. I used an email they previously sent me that had a QR code on it to scan and was checked in. There is a tv that has a running tally of everyone that is checked in. It only shows a couple of letters for privacy reasons. Walk ins do have to wait longer because those who have appointments have priority so it's better to make an appointment before showing up. You can do that on their webpage. They call your name and you go to the back. Everything is done professionally with your privacy in mind. Mr Nguyen took my blood and did an amazing job. He knew what arm to take it from and glad he didn't even bother trying my left side. There was a black lady who consistently kept checking on the front and communicating with people as they walked in letting them know what's going on and what to do if you're a walk in. I thought I would miss my appointment today - there needs to be better signage. I circled the location twice, then stopped to call the number on the website (of course no one answered) - then found a sign stuck on the glass wall (which one misses because of the cars parked in the front). The front desk person needs to be inviting and helpful. The one I met today was indifferent. I presume she was on a blue tooth or something, since he was conversing in a low tone all the time. Rude! I was waiting in the lobby for one of my relatives to have her blood work done. There was an elderly lady waiting and she had been passed over several times by other people who came in after her. At one point she stopped the nurse at the door and said, "Did I do something wrong? I've been waiting awhile." The nurse says, "If you don't see your name in the screen, I'm sure you did." Then she let the door close and left the poor lady standing there. One of the other customers promptly jumped up to help her. That nurse didn't care and that's really sad. It seems that a lot of phlebotomists don't have a lot of pride in their work, because although I'd like to think this was a one time incident, I've received this type of poor customer service from other employees of lab draw companies. read more

I spoke to my insurance prior to visit to know what to expect which was $35 copay and insurance covers 100% after, not the case here. They wanted to charge me $135 up front before any labs done. So I paused and contacted my insurance to clear up but Quest labs did not want to speak with them. WTH! So unprofessional. Is this a scam or am I just overreacting? BTW as I was waiting outside lab watching another patient get blood withdrawn into 3 vials and placed on table as patient left, I noticed another vial from another patient sitting next to it. Just went to this location for a yearly TB blood test for the hospital I volunteer for. When I got to the location, the lobby area was clean. Two people were waiting ahead of me, but not even five minutes had gone by after I checked in and we were all being called back for our respective blood draws. The lab tech who drew my blood was very professional and friendly. She had me sign some paperwork for my TB blood test and then less than a minute later, managed to draw my blood, leaving an extremely small "bruise" (If you could even call it that) from where the needle had gone in. I took in a person for blood work who was petrified and fearful that she would end up with a bruise the size of the Gulf of Mexico (like last time she went to a different location). Carmella to the rescue with a butterfly needle and a very tender, gentle touch. Carmella has been working as a phlebotomist for 20 years and her experience shows. Despite my friend having very thin veins, Carmella found a spot, went in and took care of things without a lot of stabbing around and I kid you not, there was absolutely no bruise showing when I checked a few hours later. I really like this place because it's fast with or without appointments! I was making appointments online (which is also super easy to do), but there were several times where I just didn't have time, forgot, or in a rush. As soon as I make it there, I sign in, and I literally wait no more than 3-5 mins and I get called in. They are super fast! The staff are nice and brief with you, but I don't expect anything less. They were quite rude at the front desk. I signed in to pick up the equipment for a 24-hour urine test. It took them 20 minutes to call my name, and they were not crowded. They spoke loudly about the 'urine receptacle' at the front desk, which is embarrassing. Quite frankly, there should be SOME privacy and decency afforded to patients who are managing such testing at home. When I returned the sample, it took me 35 minutes after sign-in to have them call my name for me to hand it in. Again, how about some privacy, please! I'm in the waiting room for that long period sitting with a "sample"next to me and you have me bring it to the front window. And you do not EVER fuss at a patient at the front desk bc you didn't provide ANY written or oral instructions about the testing. I had to look those up online! I will not return to this place. And they were definitely not busy either time I went there so that is not an excuse; there were only three people in the wait area for that 35 minute period. When they finally started calling one person back another lady got up and said she had been waiting over an hour !! So I asked the others waiting . This has to be the worst Quest facility in all of Houston!!!The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional and will literally talk to each other about being on Facebook or instagram instead of servicing the waiting patients. They don't pay attention to the orders and will call you back and then realize it's for the wrong thing and make you wait some more even when you express that you have a full bladder in anticipation for a urine test!!! Every one who walks through the door that has been there before is immediately frustrated because they know the poor service they are about to receive. The only reason why people go here is for the convenience in proximity to the hospital but I certainly hope I NEVER EVER have to go there for any reason again. My advice to management? I visited this facility tuesday morning. Although I didn't make an appointment, the wait time was maybe 5 minutes which is awesome. Bernadette collected my samples for pre employment. She did not have any trouble finding a vein, which is sometimes a difficult task from previous experiences. Other than that my experience was unpleasant. Bernadette behaved more like a drill sergeant than a medical professional. She was very short and aloof during the entire experience and I hate needles. So I would have appreciated someone who was more present and caring in that setting. She drew my blood and used a cotton ball and tape bandage my arm; however, the bandage did not stick from the moment she put it on. She did not offer another bandage and even suggested I place the bandage in my locker during the drug test instead of offering another bandage or to throw the old one in the trash. She actually instructed me to place a dirty bandage in a locker with my belongings. Overall, I prefer to go to a facility that treats patients like people and not objects.The two stars are for the wait time and for the nurse/tech's ability to find a vein quickly. read more

There have been times when I've walked in and had to wait, but my wait has never been over 20 minutes, which isn't bad to me for a walk-in. This place is a DISGRACE! Came here not for myself but for a relative that needed to drug test for a job. AVOID THIS PLACE CAUSE I SERIOUSLY THINK THEY TAMPER WITH PEOPLES URINE. For starters my cousin waited and once it was his turn he peed exactly how they told him, all of sudden the ghetto girl (cause that's exactly how she behaved) that was the receptionist tells him it's not enough and she needs an entire cup full. At this point he obviously didn't need to pee so she then gives him this little cup with water and says to drink it and sit down with a shitty ass attitude. Not only did he drink and ask for more to get the test over with but now they were depriving him of water saying he can only have 2 little cups not even 6 oz and saying to wait it out. He wasn't the only one, there was a lady also being told she didn't pee enough and needed to do the same and meanwhile talking shit about her. Like why the fuck talk shit about people instead of doing your job. The individuals working here are ignorant who assume power over people in dire need of work and since this is part of the work requirement they feel it's their power to treat you like shit while your just trying to get your stuff done. We tried filing a report with customer service but have now chosen to take it to the better business bureau. People like these women should not be in business handling no ones shit and can't act mature enough to do it. Again I was just a visited observing and even then I could hear them talking shit and saying stuff about people and already expecting them to fail. Sorry ladies but not everyone is into drugs some of us are actually out here doing shit to prosper while your out there hoping people fail. When asked for the corp number and their names they were refusing to provide them and did not provide corps number just to show you all how amazing their customer service was. These are people working and believing there's no higher power to serve them with a little taste of their own medicine. This is a very poorly run facility. Not enough staff to handle the patient load. Waited over an hour to a drug screen for pre employment.

It takes s long time for them to check-in and do the blood work. Waited for 1 hr in waiting room before going back to do the blood work.

I've been to this location three times now and each time I have received excellent customer service, just as I did again today. If you do not have an appointment, the key to getting in and out as quickly as possible is to arrive just before 7 am. Those with appointments will begin arriving around 8 am and that will certainly cause one to wait much longer. They have a difficult job dealing with a lot of different people so I appreciate them maintaining their professionalism despite its challenges. read more

The staff is the most unprofessional teeth sucking nail picking lip smacking group of assholes I have ever come across in the health CARE profession.
