When you need an MRI, the last thing you want to do is sit in a waiting room for hours…read more Sure, I was patient and nice about it but I kept looking over at the sign that instructed patients to contact management for any wait that was over an hour. Finally, I did ask to speak to someone but was told they didn't have anyone available and pointed back to my seat. After more time in the seat watching The Price is Right, I asked them if they had an appointment for me. Clerical errors are common and it pays to ask these questions just in case. The employees of River Oaks Imaging and Diagnostics were not amused. I wasn't trying to be funny. You see, I'm the kind of person that needs Valium to be shoved inside the MRI machine so any way prolonging the inevitable is far too long for me. The hours sitting in the waiting room seem much longer when you dread the MRI more than a reasonable person should. I finally got in the back and they got me in and out fairly quickly. I still think they lost my appointment but at least I got the whole thing finished without further delay in the back room. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with another provider as this process was slow and took up most of my day. There are other places to get MRIs - River Oaks Imaging and Diagnostics is on my list of places to get one.

Today I did a mammogram and a bone density test. The last mammogram I had (at a different location) was extremely painful and I said I wasn't going to ever do another one. My doctor convinced me to try again. At Methodist the mammogram technician was amazingly understanding and took great care of me -- I didn't scream once today. The bone density test was a breeze. The technician for that kept me relaxed and informed of what was going on. At the end of my appointment a man in a golf cart drove me to my car in the parking lot. It was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend them. Oh, and the decorations in the suite of treatment rooms are very floral and relaxing.

Vicki did my services and she was super sweet and apologetic about all the moves and changes required to get the best images. Everything was done so efficiently.
