The representative in the booth next to us blurted out "why would they check in if they know they don't have a script?". As if it was her business. The representative attending to me remained neutral and checked their system and found the electronic script. This is not the only location I've been to where the representatives behave in rude, loud manners. LabCorp Management needs to address these issues with their customer service as a priority.

Then the guy lab tech must have gone all the way through my vein with the needle. I have very visible, easy veins. Nobody has ever had a problem getting blood from me before. After I got home from this Labcorp and took off the bandage, I had a golf ball sized lump in the crook of my elbow. I have never seen anything like it. It was huge. Now, almost two weeks later, I still have massive bruising and pain in the area. Most of the "swelling" has gone down, but now I have little lumps under my skin in that area. So all in all it was a pretty bad experience and I'll never go back to that particular labcorp in Richboro.

As part of my annual physical, blood and urine samples were required in advance of that appointment. What an amazing convenience to be able to have this preliminary work done in the same location, and be confident the results will be in my file, and in my email inbox before meeting with the doctor. Compared to Lab Corp and Quest, PennMed's Outpatient Laboratory maintains all records in house and their appointments are on time. Their phlebotomists are as skilled as the other places, but they also have other staff present for check-ins and question answering, while those other places are always one person operations with a way too busy nurse running around doing everything by herself. This office feels more comfortable, and at the same time, more professional. So nice for something medical to become more simplified and convenient, rather than the contrary in this modern age of medical anxiety and confusion. This office is definitely a major improvement.

I registered and went to my car. I saw an older couple arrive and the man had trouble getting out of the car. I told his wife that it was packed inside; they didn't have an appt. because she said blood work was needed at the last minute. I told her she could use my appt. We entered LabCorps; she registered. We waited for a few minutes for someone to come to the window to help us. I told the healthcare worker that I was giving my appt. to this man. She said that's not the way we do things. She would not talk to me and just kept repeating that. I was very disappointed that this woman could not see that sometimes you can do things differently.
