This is not the only location I've been to where the representatives behave in rude, loud manners. LabCorp Management needs to address these issues with their customer service as a priority.

As part of my annual physical, blood and urine samples were required in advance of that appointment. What an amazing convenience to be able to have this preliminary work done in the same location, and be confident the results will be in my file, and in my email inbox before meeting with the doctor. Compared to Lab Corp and Quest, PennMed's Outpatient Laboratory maintains all records in house and their appointments are on time. Their phlebotomists are as skilled as the other places, but they also have other staff present for check-ins and question answering, while those other places are always one person operations with a way too busy nurse running around doing everything by herself. This office feels more comfortable, and at the same time, more professional. So nice for something medical to become more simplified and convenient, rather than the contrary in this modern age of medical anxiety and confusion. This office is definitely a major improvement.

I registered and went to my car. I saw an older couple arrive and the man had trouble getting out of the car. I told his wife that it was packed inside; they didn't have an appt. because she said blood work was needed at the last minute. I told her she could use my appt. We entered LabCorps; she registered. We waited for a few minutes for someone to come to the window to help us. I told the healthcare worker that I was giving my appt. to this man. She said that's not the way we do things. She would not talk to me and just kept repeating that. I was very disappointed that this woman could not see that sometimes you can do things differently. I was taken back on time with my appointment i made a month ago- that was the only good part! When i said hello she refused to answer me and never said hello- just told me to sit- When i told her i prefer my right arm - she insisted on using my left arm which is my "bad" arm- well after 3 sticks - she never found the vein and i started crying begging her to stop! She then got FURIOUS and threw her equipment down in the tray and demanded i move to another room- and that another employee would help me. Mean time i had 3 sticks and was bleeding and she said they had no bandaides to give me- so i was out of luck.I waited and she came back and told me to give a urine sample while i wait - i walked into the bathroom and it was a mess- no toilet paper to be found- no tissues either. When i went back out she told me to "figure it out". !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went back to room #2 and she came back in and said she would do it but i must move to room #3- (mind you she never wiped down any rooms - no mind or care that this was during a pandemic). She then draws blood from my "good" arm and during the entire draw she berated me telling me she has never had such a difficult patient!!!!! Imagine my fear- while she has a needle in me!!!!!! And can someone exactly tell me what i did- maybe it was the hello? Or maybe it was the "one arm that I told her wouldnt be a good arm" maybe it was because i told her there was no toilet paper and the room was a mess?? Also all three rooms had used cotton bloody swabs and used gloves on the floor- one room even had a used needle on the floor. I am shocked because i have used this location many times in the past - i have never seen this employee (who refused to give me her name) maybe she is a fill in - but i tell you- this is bad, very bad- this woman is going to seriously hurt someone- i could feel my blood pressure climbing - i was in such a nervous state i could barely drive- i then went to my Drs appt and told them the entire story- they also made not of this nightmare that still has me upset- . I an only imagine- what if that was my mother- or someone who wouldnt have been able to hold it together- This woman she be removed from this position immediately- she is dangerous, angry and plain old mean.

She and I walked out. I will never go back.

Then the guy lab tech must have gone all the way through my vein with the needle. I have very visible, easy veins. Nobody has ever had a problem getting blood from me before. After I got home from this Labcorp and took off the bandage, I had a golf ball sized lump in the crook of my elbow. I have never seen anything like it. It was huge. Now, almost two weeks later, I still have massive bruising and pain in the area. Most of the "swelling" has gone down, but now I have little lumps under my skin in that area. So all in all it was a pretty bad experience and I'll never go back to that particular labcorp in Richboro.

It is easy to register upon arriving (just make sure you have your ID card and Insurance card). The process to register at the kiosk is simple and self-explanatory. My name was called and I was seated in a private room within 20 minutes. The whole process from start to finish (arrival to departure) took 30 minutes. I had no appointment and I was pleased with how little time this visit took. I will definitely return to Labcorp Newtown as long as they participate and are in network with my insurance carrier.
