Billing, and what amounts I guess to Customer Service, have insisted on the wrong narrative over and over. It seemingly is an organizational catastrophe over there, with no one able to not only solve problems for themselves, but solve between departments. (UPDATE) After several more weeks of dealing with this, I have reached a satisfactory resolution and my bill was zeroed out. However, this is after literally dozens of attempts with at least 4 different people in the office who said they were going to "forward this to the Lab Director" and receiving no follow-up. I managed to wheedle an email to said Lab Director, who actually wrote back and said, "Honestly, that is the first I've heard of this and after three or four more cc'd emails, it looked like it had been rectified..." Absolute, total, utter mismanagement by all parties at this operation.

The woman who works there is a fantastic phlebotomist. She always finds a vein, does the puncture and collects the blood quickly and efficiently. I almost never have a bruise and the bleeding stops quickly. I'm known to pass out but she gets it done so fast I never even have a chance. She's truly great and I'm a loyal patient even when the wait is like 45 minutes long. I recommend her to anyone!

They eventually did, but the journey getting there was quite painful until this morning when Josie (the phlebotomist ) found a good vein-immediately, inserted her needle expertly without any pain and pulled four vials of blood in what felt like a second ! Starting with making appointments - the process at Quest was quite alright. You can call their…read morephone to find times available, and while I would prefer to speak with an actual person, the automated system works too. I eventually just had to go as a walk in, because I wasn't sure whether I could keep my appointment ( I ended up not making an appointment for this reason). Check in process was automated at the kiosk, and simple enough. There was no one in queue before me, so within a minute of clicking done on the kiosk I was asked to walk over to the blood draw room. The phlebotomist was friendly, quick and confident. She did a wonderful job of putting me at ease and providing information. She also performed the actual blood draw well, making this experience much nicer than it usually is. And- she was also happy to look up an estimated charge of my tests before I consented to the blood draw. That is always a good sign at any healthcare facility. She also indicated when and how to expect results, and suggested I look up online after about 2 days; since that will be the fastest way to get my records. Low hassle, quick in and out. It's how all labs should work.
