I have been trying to make an appointment for a blood test via the web site of Quest at 21 Woodland, Hartford CT. IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Every time I select an open time slot for an appointment it says: "Sorry time slot taken". That repeats with the other two slots I select. So I call the telephone number to have a robot recite opening hours. Then hangs up!!!! Same story yesterday and today, No contact with any human! This business should go out of business. The perfect place to get your blood tests done. I made an appointment for same day, came 10 minutes before my appointment, and was seen almost immediately. The phlebotomist was quick and thorough, she explained anything that wasn't covered by insurance, and then had the FASTEST blood draw i've ever had! I didn't even feel it and it was over quick. Overall, I was there for 20 minutes and had my blood test info back the NEXT MORNING. Make your appointment online and you'll have no issues. read more

I think Quest is horrible. When trying to call and schedule an appointment I was on hold for a prolonged amount of time! When I got there they were busy and the standing appointment I had wasn't standing! The only thing I do like however, is that they renovated this location so everything is up to date! If you want or need lab work done I would recommend you seeking another facility. read more

Quest Diagnostic is really not the best, in my opinion and I think there need to be some changes made to improve the overall patient experience here. I have come here several times now for what should have been a simple and quick routine lab work appointment. And every single time I come, there is ALWAYS a really long wait time. It doesn't matter what time of day, they just never seem to have enough technicians working. This is mostly the case early in the morning when you just want to get in and out quickly. And when you haven't had anything to eat for 12 or more hours, it becomes even more annoying having to sitting in the waiting room for sometimes almost an entire hour!!! That all by itself is bad enough. Now for the worse part: They had to stick my arm THREE TIMES before being able to locate my vains!!! I have never had this problem before and my vains are not the delicate kind either that requires the 'butterfly' needle. I think the phlebatemist who was doing my blood work was very inexperience and it showed. A LOT! They did not seem to know what they were doing, in my opinion. I would rather not mention them by name or ID them but Quest really needs to train there staff a lot better. And they also need to drastically improve the wait times for patients by having more techs. available, especially during busy times like early mornings. By just trying to save a few dollars by trying to do more with less resources, it is never a good idea. For any company. Something always ends up suffering in the long run, and in this case that would be the quality of the service The one positive which I will give them credit for was the level of cleanliness there. Even though I had a not so good experience a couple days ago with them treating my amr like a darn pin-cushion, (lol -although it was not nearly as funny at the time, I will be fair and say the actual lab office itself was very clean and sterile. And they also practiced universal precautions which is equally important. Everything else though does need a lot of improvement though. read more

Getting blood work done is always great fun. Who doesn't love fasting all night, then waiting in a room full of questionable, coughing people until it is your turn to have 10-12 vials of blood extracted from your body? This Quest branch is a hidden gem. It is clean, the staff are friendly and most importantly they are super fast. I had to Google the location and I didn't notice a sign outside, so this is probably what keeps scary looking people away. read more

This company has one of the most useless customer service departments that I have ever dealt with. 1. Can't get a live person at the lab location I was calling, 2. When you do get a live person they have no idea what labs do what types of tests even if you provide test code. 3. customer service has to call a lab directly to ask if they have the capacity to do the test. ( you would think that have access to a database with the info). So far I have called twice - person 1 provide in correct location and person 2 left a message for Hartford and told me they would call me back. It's been over 24 hours and I have not heard back from Quest. I finally went into a Quest near my home to get an actual person to speak with. What did they tell me - Don't get this test done at Quest. Go directly to a hospital blood lab. The employee doesn't even trust the company to do the test properly. read more

The one girl at the desk seemed like she hated her job but the other girl working there was super sweet. Don't waste your time here, go some place where they actually care about you. CLS labs is right next door and is great. read more
