I would not recommend this place unless you really don't have another choice. Management should speak with their staff about being more professional or they should look for other employment if they are not happy with their employer. I ask them what was taking so long for me to be called and their attitude was either wait or leave, period.. When they finally called me, the girl tried 3 times to get my vein while hurting me as she did. I finally had enough and told her to stop. I left without having my blood drawn. Walked in and checked in on the Ipad that told me stand by wait was around 30-40 minutes. No problem being a walk in you have to understand wait times. I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour and 35 minutes still no one called me I finally asked the doctor if they are still taking walk in patients and he had appointments so walk ins were going to be seen whenever they have time for it so he couldn't give me an estimated time. I sat at #3 to be seen for 1 hour and 35 minutes the 2 people before me had not been seen yet I could only imagine how long they have been waiting. Just got here and already regretting my decision to come to this location. First off, there are no obvious signs to the Quest office. You assume based on suite number 124, that they are on the first floor but if you look at some of the other suite numbers, they don't exceed 110, so I thought they might be on another floor. The main sign showing all offices implies the same. Why group random suites from the 100's to the 400's on the same plaque? 3rd plaque by the way. Thank goodness I saw the tiny little sign before taking the elevator. Anyway, the main reason for my issue was the customer service or lack there of. What an attitude. It's too early to be grumpy. So I didn't have my physical insurance card and physical doctor's order. It's 2023 and I prefer to save the tree and use technology. I never needed them before, but this one had an issue with it and asked for my credit card even though the order and insurance information was in the computer as it is every year for the past 10 years. Definitely going back to Covina next time. Worth the extra drive. read more

This place should definitely have a front desk. I don't think it's efficient having the phlebotomist do their job and front desk. The kiosks aren't always the greatest, sometimes you need people interaction for assistance. Appointments are priority here, walk-ins are taken only if no appointments are waiting. Which I think it's more efficient if one appointment is called and then one walk in is called to keep the flow going. To whoever reads this PLEASE HIRE FRONT DESK, Ive been helping 5 of your customers because your kiosks arent helping and your phlebotomists are occupied. I scheduled an appointment for a monthly blood panel necessary for a medication I am on. The scheduling process was easy enough, and the workers helped me promptly. However, on arrival, I was immediately a bit concerned about the cleanliness of the establishment. When I am getting my blood drawn, I want to feel like I am in a clean place. I tried not to think much of it, went on with my appointment, and then about 36 hours later, my arms ( on the exact places they lay against the armrests when getting my blood drawn) are now completely covered in an itchy, red fungal infection. My dermatologist diagnosed me and specifically said that fungal infections can be caused by unclean surfaces in medical establishments. I am positive that this is where I contracted the infection, given the timeline, the infection's location, and the observation I made previously about the environment of this Quest. I have loved other Quest locations in the past, and it looks like I will be trying out yet another location because this fungal infection covering my arms is not worth a convenient drive. Needless to say, medical establishments should be the some of the cleaniest places ever and I am appaled by this situation. read more

Maria Contreras was VERY RUDE!!! Awful experience at this location because of her. My 3 year old son needed blood drawn and this was going to be his first experience with a needle. He started to cry as we tried to prepare him for what was about to take place. We asked if we could take a moment to figure out if this is what we wanted for him and potentially traumatize him or call his pediatrician to see if they do the finger prick instead. Maria Contreras began to complain that they only allow 10 minutes per patient, pretty much kicking us out. Her lack of sympathy for a child is ludicrous. Maria was great. I came in pleasant and she was pleasant to me in return. I scheduled online for 240PM. I checked in at 230PM and was called in at exactly 241pm. She was kind, professional, took my blood and urine sample with adequate service. For those of you writing negative reviews. Keep in mind this is a MEDICAL facility. They take your bodily fluids for testing and analysis. There is a procedure and they must follow it. This isn't a McDonalds drive thru. They treat their job seriously as a mistake can cost them and you a lot of liability. Exercise patience and courtesy and the medical technicians will give it in return. Walk ins - don't complain about waiting an hour or two. 90% are scheduled online already so they are going to get serviced first. If you want on time service then schedule online and avoid walking. read more

I read a lot of reviews about this place and thought I was in for a bad experience. I made an appointment to get my blood drawn for work and I was in and out in less than ten minutes. It is self check in but it's pretty simple. I didn't catch the man's name but he was polite and quick. Based on my experience today I would go back. My lab works experience with Glendora Quest Diagnostics was not perfect, though I would choose this location again due to its positive sides. I scheduled an appointment via the website. On the day of, I drove to the site on time, and I answered my COVID questionnaire and checked in at my appointment time through the text-website hybrid system. When I got my final text to go into the waiting room, I did as such, and I saw my name show up on the TV monitor. It showed my appointment time slot, that I am already checked in, and I had about a 5-minute wait. I waited for roughly 20 to 25 minutes, well past my scheduled time slot, but it still wasn't my turn for blood draw. I didn't think much of it, shrugging off as a usual health care delay. I am no stranger to doctor's or labs running behind schedule. When I finally realized something wrong, that someone arrived after I did was called in before me, I ran up to the front desk to inquire what's going on. AND HERE'S A HUGE TIP FOR YOU: for this location, you will still have to line up, physically check in, no matter if you already checked in via text, via QR code, via website, via whatever. These are extra high tech complements--but not sufficient--you must go to the front and let the staff know you're physically here. Once this was cleared up, understandably both the staff and I were slightly upset, but everything was smooth sailing from here on. And this is 100% thanks to the actual competence of the workers. Realizing they sort of messed up, (I did check into the system after all, but skipping a bit of details here,) they gave me their best effort to get me out of there quickly. The phlebotomist on duty, a gentleman, wasted no time in inputting my information and lab orders into the computer database system. I was here to do a total of 4 lab test items, and having a little bit data entry knowledge myself, I knew this guy is seasoned. He could've fumbled, but overall, he typed, he scanned, and he completed the entry process with high efficiency. I compliment his promptness, especially I knew he's a tad flustered from the previous check-in misadventure. In literally just 3 or 4 minutes, he's ready to draw my blood with his empty collection tubes. I work out regularly, so my one big, bulging vein is primed for quick and easy blood samples. And gratefully, this phlebotomist also has excellent skills. The needle puncture did not hurt, and he's fluid and efficient in collecting a handful of tubes with a smooth series of motion. No time wasted, just pure professionalism. Between my good vein and his expertise, we made this blood draw a piece of cake. (Minimal bruising afterwards, too!) I was in and out of that exam room in less than 8 to 10 minutes, tops. On my way out, the receptionist made sure to address the check-in mix-up, and she seemed very, very sweet. Hey, look, sometimes mistakes happen, and this is purely a case of bad systemic procedures put in place. Your customers wouldn't know this location requires everyone to still physically check in, because Quest, as a company, wants to implement an image of willingness to embrace and incorporate modern technology. It's just that this has not been completely ironed out. (Will it ever?) However, now that I know, I would have no confusion the next time I return for more lab works. As long as these employees remain to be cordial, efficient, and competent, I actually like this branch a lot. I would give it 5 stars had everything gone as planned, but alas, 4 stars for now. Final tip: this location seems to be quite busy, especially with COVID safety procedures put in place. Walk-in seems entirely impossible, so make sure you make an appointment ahead of time, and yes, CHECK IN PROPERLY when you arrive ;P read more

In regards to the many comments about walk ins. The facility operates by appointments. I had a discussion with one the phlebotomists, the "bald one" referenced in many reviews. He's a decent guy from my short experience but I cannot speak in regards to how he treats other patients. The wait time as a walk in is variable. If you have only an hour of time to wait then it might be best to schedule an appointment online. I was able to fit in after a 45 minute wait only because no one was in the waiting room and the next appointment didn't show up. It is usually 1 phlebotomists for 6 appointments per hour. That means 1 minutes per person. Even 1 add on an hour drops the minutes per person to ~8.5. It's unreasonable. Blame Quest, not the phlebotomists. read more

When the phlebotomist finally popped his head out, he was extremely rude and condescending. He said he was the only one there and wouldn't give any estimate of wait times. I had an appointment, waited 20 minutes and left. Heard the male Phlebotomist tell numerous patients about 'if you're late you lose your appointment time, if you go on standby it could be a couple of hours'. Mike, the male phlebotomist, needs some serious customer service training. Condescending tone, rude interactions with elderly/non-native speakers/anyone who did not appease him, basically. I was doing a prenatal glucose test with another staff member so thankfully I got to sit and listen for an hour to many interactions he had. The rest of the staff was tremendous though! Getting lab work is the last thing many people want to do so why should patients have terrible customer service experiences on top of it. Here I am again at Quest. I was unable to make an appointment online. Every date, location, and time says not available so I came in to ask for help. I was greeted with why would you come in here without an appointment. I said the website isn't working and asked for help. The healthcare worker said she couldn't help and literally slammed the door in my face! You would expect the worker to at least provide a customer service number. We waited and finally got in. My last review was about an worker aggressively speaking in a patient's face saying it takes about a half an hour and the patient was arguing that it takes a few minutes. We were done in less than 5 minutes! We had that guy! The rude one! The one complaining about how long it takes. I do not recommend going to this place. read more

Honestly the reviews scared me so bad, but I just went here today and it was very easy to check in. Although, be mindful to make an appointment by calling their number. You enter the building and make a left and go all the way down. You sign in with an electronic device. I got there 15 minutes in advance and got called minutes after I checked in. Only thing I wish was possible is being able to talk to a human on the phone beforehand. They have their number but only gives automated responses.
