I came in today to do a pre-employment drug screening urine test. Once you walk in you are required to sign in with the ipad that is provided in the front. I did not make an appointment and just did a walk in. There were other people ahead of me so of course there was a little bit of waiting - about 30 min. Once they called me, Walter made sure to ask me if I was ready to give a sample and prompted me to drink some water if I needed a bit more time. I'm glad he gave me the option to do so. Walter was very nice and professional during the whole process of the drug screen. It was quick and easy for both parties. Always go in make sure to make my appointment. Suddenly I need ID and Insurance card (physically ) in order to be seen. Um never had to? I entered all the information for you all? What's the problem? I had to go back and forth for this appointment for 2 days but ended up happy. Let me say this from the beginning so you understand what I mean. I had an appointment at the 800 S Central location that I booked online and specified Glucose test, and it gave me a 3:15pm appointment and I waited outside their office for 10 minutes in respect to the rules of checking temperature before coming inside then I went online to get their phone number to call and alert someone inside that I am outside waiting past my appointment time, this after me knocking heavily on the door. Online it said they close at 3:30pm and I was already mad as the system allowed me to book a 1 hour glucose test, full bloodwork, and urine test at 3:15, so basically I wouldn't get any of them done. Then I walked in to an empty room and laughter coming from inside so I kept saying "Hello" for some time, a staff member (assuming phlebotomist) came out and asked how she can help me. I told her what is going on and that I waited outside, her response was "oh you have a glucose test, we can't even do that anyways because we are technically closed already" I straight out told her that they could have done the urine test and bloodwork if someone had come out to get me on time as I was early for my appointment to begin with. They suggested I come in the next day 6:30 am as a walk in and wait, not when I am pregnant and consistently vomiting, you can"t suggest the same thing to everyone, we don't all fit into the same shoe. So my husband was frustrated to see me frustrated and we went down to 1500 S Central since the website said they closed at 5pm. We drove there immediately and on the way i clicked on wait list and also clicked on appointment for 4pm and got there at like 3:40pm (checked in online) and sadly, we waited outside for another almost 20 minutes until someone came to get us, I was already upset as I am pregnant, suffering from horrible nausea and vomiting, super weak and was fasting, almost 4 pm in the afternoon, this means more than 16 hours of no food. The lady who helped us apologized and her and a coworker said they cannot take me. She was nice and gave me instructions on when to book the appointment so we went online in front of her and made an appointment for the next day at 2:30 pm. I was already ready to eat so I wouldn't pass out so we left. I came the next day at my appointment time, sadly we waited for almost half an hour, and someone came to get us (Jill). She took our temperatures and called us in, we had a seat and she called me up asking what my appointment was for and I immediately informed her that I came in with a full bladder to make sure I had urine for the test, also informing her that I am again fasting and need a 1 hour glucose test and regular bloodwork. She quickly sprint into action, gave me the orange glucose drink and told me I have 5 minutes but my eager self downed it in less than 2 minutes although I hate juices currently. She came to get me a few minutes later for the urine test so I wouldn't wait longer, I truly appreciated this. I also informed her that sometimes I get syncopal during bloodwork and she informed me that she would accommodate so I would be laying down, for my safety. I then waited until my hour was up and she called me in, we went inside, she had me lay down, she engaged in a wonderful conversation with me while she took I believe 7 tubes of blood, I did not feel a thing other than the tiny poke. Jill was super fast, pleasant, and made me feel super comfortable. I have no doubt that I will be back just for Jill to take care of me in my future lab needs. I have a Quest lab minutes from my house but will drive to get there for Jill. I have been hurt and bruised before although my veins pop out. So thank you Jill for making the 2 days back and forth worth it. These 5 Stars are for Jill who topped it all and made me not care about the rest. But I do hope Quest system can be updated so people do not book 1 hour appointments just 15 minutes before closing. Other people are not like me, they have work and other duties, I am happy I had nothing to do those few days but I would be super frustrated by the run around had I been taking time off from work or other duties. read more

I came in after 4 pm without an appointment, hoping I could get a blood test done. Even with a waiting room filled with people, I didn't wait more than 30 minutes. The cherry on top? The employee that helped me was an absolute gem. I can't say enough good things about Walter D. After a couple of recent traumatic experiences, I was nervous to get my blood drawn. Walter was so kind and patient with me. Best of all? I didn't feel a thing! The process was so quick and painless. If you are looking for a professional phlebotomist Walter at 1500 S. Central Ave. Is the one. He is always getting my vein at his first attempt. Had to go do my glucose test this morning, for my pregnancy and as I rushed out my house I forgot my order at home. He went that extra step to help me out. First he didn't want me to wait in line once I told him what kind of test I was having. Then he gave me an email to send my lab order. Not too busy at 11. You can check in on the tablets near front desk and wait as a walk-in - even better if you have an appointment. In the large waiting room, you can find a TV in corner, but not much else entertainment. The area is pretty clean. I was called in fairly quickly, and the phlebotomist took my blood with ease. Most people that try to take my blood wince in fear as they view my veins, but she was confident and effective. The customer service was brisk and emotionless, but I appreciated the clean facilities and speedy service. read more

My allergist (whom I like and respect) ordered some blood work from here; I'm assuming she has a deal with them or something or maybe it's out of convenience. I chose this location because it was close to home. I showed up here with a printed piece of paper from my Allergist that had my "order number" on it. When I handed it to the nurse, she told me I wasn't in the system. I then told her nicely that I should be because I had an order number, she rudely cut me off and again told me I wasn't in the system. Regardless, she led me to the one of the patient rooms, where after 5 minutes of her typing and not speaking to me, she finally told me that I WAS in the system after all. Not off to a good start. When she began doing the blood work, she was not gentle at all. A week or so after my visit I began having pain and numbness in my arm, and after speaking to my general Doctor, I was diagnosed with inflammation of the vein. This has hindered me from sleeping comfortably and exercising, both things I enjoy doing. I will definitely be mentioning this to my allergist when I go in to discuss the results of the test. Quest has a number of locations, so I recommend looking into one of those, or finding another lab all-together. read more

I was impressed with the level of organization and the COVID precautions at this location. I was able to make an appointment online the day before. I received a text confirmation immediately as well as a reminder the next day. When I showed up at the building, it was easy to find the lab on the third floor. There was a short line (me and one other person) at the door to the lab. A nurse in a mask, gown, and face shield took my forehead temperature and asked me a few questions about symptoms. Then I was able to enter the waiting room, which only had 2 other people in it with well spaced chairs. My name was called within 5 minutes. My phlebotomist was efficient and professional. I was in and out of the building within 10 minutes. Overall, an ideal healthcare experience. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit to the Quest Diagnostics at 1500 S. Central Ave. Walter Duran was the phlebotomist who helped me and he was awesome. Usually it takes a long time to get called in, but this time it was so quick and easy. He made sure all the information was set up prior to calling me in and the whole process took less than 5 min. The actual drawing of the blood was so quick and painless that I was shocked. I would definitely go back to this location and specifically request Walter to help me next time. This place was a disaster. The customer service is beyond horrible. No one is even in at the front desk helping people out. I understand you guys are busy but you guys don't even offer walk ins so I don't understand that logic. If you guys need more assistance you guys should hire more staff members. This lady that came to the front desk told me to step back from the front desk when I had a question about waiting for two hours, when I'm gonna be seen next. She was terribly rude and didn't even bother asking what my question was afterwards she just went to the back. The only kind person there was a man that actually felt bad that I was waiting for two hours and everyone got seen within 12 minutes maximum except for me. I didn't even get seen. I had to walk out because people have things to do. I shouldn't be waiting at a Quest Diagnostics for two hours. There's a reason I scheduled an appointment to be seen at my appointment time. Now I have to go back a week from today, take time out of my day again to come back to this unorganized quest diagnostics location to get seen for a five minute appointment. I've been going to Quest Diagnostics for my annual lab tests. I have been always greeted nicely by Walter. He is very professional and friendly. He is very quick and is truly an expert phlebotomist! I have never experienced bruising or discomfort. I changed my Quest location because of him since I don't really trust any other phlebotomists. The wait time is not long if you schedule your appointment in advance or go during slow hours. Overall great experience! read more

As I'm not able to see the review that I posted yesterday, so I'm posting it again up until I get a respond and apology. I wish I had the option to give negative star. My experience with this lab was one of the worst experience in my Whole LIFE. The staff was unhelpful and had no humanity and respect to help a senior disable person with her question. They just closed the door and left to back office and however the person was asking for help over 10 minutes or more & no body take a single step. They just rejected giving the service to the patient and left the room and never came back to answer her further question. Eventually we had to leave the office after exactly "50 minutes" waiting helplessly & being treated with the most disrespectful and ignorant manner which someone can do to a disable and elderly person without any hesitation. It's a shame to a business I'm waiting for Quest diagnostic customer service to get back to me . Hopefully they are not as careless as the staff in the lab in 1500 S. Central Ave Glendale . I have to mention , next day on 1/25/22 the nurse from Dr office called the lab 5 times at 10:15-10:40am but no one picked up the phone and even she had no option to leave a message . read more

Walter is a phloballer! I had just come from my rheumatologist to do some follow-up bloodwork and he took me in very quickly. Drew the blood so fast and NO PAIN, not even a pinch! He is amazing. I highly recommend you ask for Walter in station number 2. There was very little wait. It's super clean here. The bathroom was so clean. The main doctor was genuinely nice. It's too bad one rude person can ruin the company's image. I don't normally write bad reviews because I believe in 2nd chances but this had to be brought to upper management's attention. The shortest girl working there, I didn't care enough to know her name but I should have gotten it she has black hair and wears glasses was extremely rude, speaking over me in a demanding manner. First of all she opened the door saying "aisle 3 to the left" not saying my name I asked her if she was talking to me and she repeats AGAIN "aisle 3 to the left" and that's only the beginning. Why is she working that job if she doesn't have any manners nor does she know how to speak to people. Something definitely needs to be done and this, It's truly disgusting. I really wish I can give this location negative stars. My company has to send potential employees to Quest for their pre-employment drug screens. Over the last few months, we've sent several associates here and many have had issues. No one is ever helpful! They just send people away and ask them to reschedule.... and I'm sure they know appointments are not easy to get the next day. We've even had people mad us because you guys were so rude. We have not had these issues at other locations. At this point even though this is the closest location we've just started sending people elsewhere. read more

This is my favorite quest. I've been here about 5 times. 4 out of those 5 I've been lucky to have been helped by Walter Duran. He is very friendly, experienced, professional, and compassionate. I am very afraid of needles and get very nervous about getting blood drawn. Walter made it the process so smooth. I always check the quest website to see if there are any appointments available.
