I really wish I can give this location negative stars. My company has to send potential employees to Quest for their pre-employment drug screens. Over the last few months, we've sent several associates here and many have had issues. No one is ever helpful! They just send people away and ask them to reschedule.... and I'm sure they know appointments are not easy to get the next day. We've even had people mad us because you guys were so rude. We have not had these issues at other locations. At this point even though this is the closest location we've just started sending people elsewhere. read more

This is my favorite quest. I've been here about 5 times. 4 out of those 5 I've been lucky to have been helped by Walter Duran. He is very friendly, experienced, professional, and compassionate. I am very afraid of needles and get very nervous about getting blood drawn. Walter made it the process so smooth. I always check the quest website to see if there are any appointments available. If there isn't I go based on the walk in wait time. Yesterday it said 4 minute walk in wait. And it was on point. read more

They dont even deserve a one star, I came here for my moms blood draw cause this is where her dr. Told us to go. First of all, this is the first time ive ever done a written complaint on something, I usually just keep it to myself or tell my friends about it. But this experience was just so bad i have to tell whoever i can! Me and my mom got there at 10:15am i went up to the counter wrote her name and was just gonna ask the lady how long it might take cause my mom hasnt eaten in like 15 hrs i just wanted a time even if she said 2 hrs atleast i had an answer but this lady was like "I dont know, were not on that page yet, just take a seat and we'll call you" Okay, thats ok, probably busy dont bother them. So i sat down next to my mom. An hr later. I see people who were after us going in, so i went to the lady and asked how long more for my mom, and we found out there was a check on my moms name so they thought she was already called. So now there's 4 more people in front of my mom and she'll call us soon. Okay, thankyou. Its ok we'll wait some more;) 12 noon comes, they lock the door, no one can come in anymore (mind you, people who went outside to go use the restroom wasnt even warned that they cant go back in, and theyre out of the list) then a poor lady goes to the front desk and says that she has diabetes and she cant not eat for longer cause she already feels weak, the lady at the front desk was just like "well, sorry we cant do anything about that, you're still far from the list if you want just make another appointment"(and really meanly i might add, i felt so bad for the lady, but she just sat back down and i talked to her and told her maybe she could do it some other day, she said she just really needed to get a blood test that day) Now from 12noon to 12:30. No one was being called, nobody was at the front desk or anywhere to be seen actually. the door was locked and we were all just waiting there, it seems like they went on a break and just left everybody there to wait. 12:30 comes they were calling people again but it was like every person took 15 min just to get their blood drawn. my mom got called in around 1 and we were inside there for 10 min. The lady was not nice at all. My mom said it really stung, and she now has a bruise. Worse service ever, worst costumer service ever. Seems like they hate every one and everything. They couldve atleast been a little nice. Worst experience ever. Pls do not go here. read more

After reading the negative reviews of this location, I still decided to visit this location as it was the most convenient to me. I should have listened to the other yelpers... There's a parking lot next to the building that charges $2/hour. The african american lady was very nice. The latina lady was not really. Be ware of other pushy patrons that arrive after you, but still want to get ahead of you. Josh was the one who drew my blood. He was polite, efficient at completing the paperwork. Josh asked me for my credit card, in order to be automatically charged. I informed him that I wished to be billed. He said that they are going paperless. So I told him that I have online access to payment. When I refused their "easy pay" Josh turned very cold (almost upset). I told him I was afraid of needles, he rudely said "well, good thing I am not". The blood draw was not as gentle as my past experiences elsewhere. It's hard to rate this place. I walked in on a Wednesday around 2:30 pm and instantly went back, got my blood drawn and was out in 10 minutes. i had the worst experience at this lab facility. Jill and Bianca Orellana were so rude and unprofessional. They raise their voices at you and have no respect for you. You try to communicate with them professionally but you can not because they don't care about you and they don't have any manner. I am very nice person and have a lot of patience; but today these two ladies made me so mad that I had to confront their behaviors. I was so upset that I ask to have my order back so that I can go and do it at different facility. I would not recommend anyone to go there. Such an unorganized lab facility with the rudest "healthcare" workers. The attitude was just horrible towards every single person that walked in. Not to mention they wanted a boy with special needs to wait outside since there was 5 patients in the room already. The boys mother was trying to explain to them that he has special needs and he can't be alone so they finally let him inside with biggest attitude. There were only 3 workers and they would show up at the front desk literally every 30 mins so good luck getting a question answered or getting checked in. I went in for a drug test that my school required and never ended up doing it. They wouldn't even let me leave to get water, they don't provide any water, they don't let anyone bring me water! Overall my whole experience was overwhelming and I won't ever be coming back here. Besides the fact that I wasn't able to complete my drug test it was the costumer service that just ruined my day and most likely all the others patients can agree. Hire better staff members to fulfill all patients needs the right way. read more

Came in for my glucose testing and the front desk girl wouldn't take me because i didn't had my medical card with me so she made me call here and there to get it. I called my worker and she told me to tell her to check again and when she did supposedly it showed No records found. So the front desk person called somewhere to check my eligibility while i was on the phone with my worker and it seemed that i was eligibility even my worker was pissed at her that she could've called the place she called earlier and save all of us our time and nerves. I am an employer trying to set up (and pay for) a TB test for a new-hire. This office DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. It is a 100% automated call system. There is no way to get through. I called corporate and was on hold for over 20 mins. When I got through, the customer rep, located in Tampa, FL, didn't know what to do so she transferred me to Mike in CA. He couldn't help me either. I asked to speak to a supervisor and waited another 5 mins. on hold. Her name is Jessica, and she told me she can't help me either. All she could do was transfer me to the sales department. I asked her what the phone number is for the sales dept. and she said she can't give it out. Then she put me on hold again. When she came back on the line, she said she COULD give me the # after all. She offered to transfer me but found out the sales office is closed for the day. They close at 5pm Central. I'm in the Pacific time zone. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. read more

Came to get labs for my doctor. You have to wait in the hallway until someone comes out and checks your temperature. The door was locked and i knocked many times hearing people inside the whole time. Even with an appointment I waited outside in the hallway for half an hour and no one ever came out. I understand facilities can be running behind sometimes but no one at all even came out to tell me anything. Wasted my time and had to reschedule my doctors appointment. read more

My only gripe with this place is that they do NOT validate for parking. 15 minutes cost me $2.00 for parking. I had an appointment for 10 am and I was out of there by 10:10 am. They were quick. I really appreciate that. read more

LAB NURSE REFUSED ME SERVICE BECAUSE I WOULD NOT ALLOW HER TO POINT A GUN AT MY HEAD TO TAKE MY TEMPERATURE!!!!!! On Friday 11/6/20, I went to drop off stool samples at this Quest Labs location in Glendale, along with the doctor's order. I had the sample in a T-Mobile bag with packaging paper placed next to it such that the samples would not move in the bag, and the bag had two rope handles on it. The lab is at end of an office building corridor, with open door on one side, and a sign saying don't enter the lobby until we've checked your temperature. Another lady had gotten there just before I did, and we wondered to each other how they would know we were there because lobby was empty and there was no bell or anything. So across from lobby's open door was a closed door of same business, so I knocked on the door. We heard nothing. We wondered if maybe it was after closing time (4:45/5), and I noticed I had left my phone in the car so didn't have the time, but the other lady had a wrist watch and it was 4:10. So I yelled "Hey, there's someone in the lobby!" to see if we could get someone's attention. Two nurses (or assistants?) in masks plus clear facial shields came out and asked if someone was yelling. I said we just wanted to get someone's attention as there was no bell and no response to the knock. The one nurse said the sign says to wait and we are supposed to do that -just wait- and they will come out. (No sign in sheet or anything.) So, the lady in front of me walks into the lobby and the second nurse rushes her and puts that infrared temperature gun to her head so fast I didn't have time to warn her not to (badly effects pineal gland), and she jumped when she got zapped. Then the nurse who was angry with me for yelling moved the gun toward my head and I ducked and put my arm up, telling her I did not want my temp taken that way, and told her she could take my temp on my wrist or inner elbow or neck, as several other doctor's offices have been accommodating me. She refused. I said she has to take my temperature by another method, and the she said it has to be done according to THEIR rules. So I held out the bag after putting Dr's orders in it and said "here, I don't need to come in for this." She said yes I do, because she has to check everything to make sure she has all paperwork or whatever. I held out bag and told her to check it, and I'd wait there. SHE REFUSED ME SERVICE IF I WOULD NOT ALLOW HER TO PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD TO TAKE MY TEMPERATURE!!!!! So I said "well, what am I supposed to do with this, it's hazardous waste?", and I threw the bag underhanded between the two nurses and it landed on the floor of the lobby behind them, and nothing fell out because of the packaging paper. Anyway, she yelled at me as I ran down hall to the elevator, and I turned back and cursed at her, I was so ticked off. When I got home, I called 211and got the Covid hotline to ask if we had a choice of how our temp was taken. She couldn't answer me and it was after 5pm, so she e-mailed me 800# for business consumer assistance. This week when I finally got a hold of them, they told me any business has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. (Even due to ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, disability and other protected categories, I wonder?) Meanwhile, I got a call from my doctor's office on Tuesday, 11/10 to tell me the lab test results were in (and negative), while I thought they were just going to throw it in hazardous waste. It would seem I was in the right if they ran the tests. On the other hand, I wonder if they just said they ran it and it was negative. On the LA County Dept of Health website, it says temperature checks are optional, and that if they are done, staff should be trained on cleaning the thermometers. I called the LA County Dept of Health , and at first when I asked if customers have a choice in how our temp is taken for covid screening, she replied, "Well, yeah, I guess so." I told her the story and said I wanted to know for sure, not a guess. She put me on hold and came back on to rudely confirm business consumer assistance statement that businesses can refuse service to any one for any reason. I can't believe we do not have the right of how they take our temp! This is CRAZY! Research effects of infrared light on the pineal gland, and if you don't want them to take your temp by pointing a gun at your head (which is terribly rude and demeaning anyway), go to another lab. No wonder this place has so many one-star reviews, even from before Covid! Outrageously rude and unprofessional! Maybe I'll call the California Medical Board as suggested by Samy S. in 7/29/2000 one-star review. read more

I appeared fifteen minutes before my scheduled appointment and presented my blood test prescription, written by the head of a UCLA clinic, as well as my relevant coverage credentials. Over the course of the next ten minutes, I was called to the desk three times, first for the name of my doctor (printed on the prescription), second for my doctor's address (also printed on the prescription), and third for the number of my doctor's Quest account. I noted that the online reservation form (and email confirmation) did not suggest I was required to obtain my doctor's Quest account number. The intake receptionist and a supervisor then set about trying to find that account number. As the clock ticked, my frustration grew more or less in tandem with theirs. When it became clear that they were doing no more than tread water for my benefit, I asked for the return of my prescription and left. The test that brought me to Quest required me to fast overnight. Upon leaving the facility, it was clear that I couldn't get an appointment elsewhere within the next several hours and, accordingly, I grabbed a sandwich, effectively throwing me back to square one. I now have an appointment for the test later this month at a reputable facility operated by a different corporate organization. I've tried to rationalize this experience on the basis of the inexperience of the intake receptionist (and her boss) and the chock-full waiting room, but it doesn't pencil out. This laboratory is on the doorstep of a major, well-regarded hospital, Glendale Memorial, and I assume the hospital is its major feeder of patients. As such, it should perform to the same standard as the hospital it adjoins. In my case, it did not. read more
