Port charlotte's office was awful, as were the staff. The following day I went to Cape Coral. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! No comparison. Do yourself a favor, just go to Cape Coral. You won't be sorry. The office, reception area and patient rooms are impeccable. My lab tech's name was Gabby, I believe. She was excellent. There is one area that I would address. The touch screens that are used by every person that enters aren't wiped down. I believe they need to be cleaned periodically throughout the day. Otherwise, I was very happy. read more

The poster child for horrible customer service. I went for a basic liver profile blood draw and after 1 week no results. It should take 1-2 days for this basic test. When I tried to get results they only have a phone number that I waited 60 minutes before it disconnected me. No way to speak to a human being. Quest shares a parking lot with Pediatric GI office. Waiting area is small with unmasked clients not distanced. Option to wait in parking lot risks prolonging delays. Highly recommend making an appointment if you can! I had an 11am appointment and I was in and out by 11:10am. Everyone else who were walk-ind before and after me had quite a long wait. The women behind the windows definitely aren't the friendliest, as you can see is a common trend in other reviews. So don't expect to be wowed with customer service or helpfulness when you arrive. Additionally the level of service is subpar. I only had my blood drawn but 5 days later I still have a huge bruise & soreness in my arm. Which is not normal when I've had blood drawn in the past. They do have a digital check-in system where you can sign in with a tablet near the front desk. Then your name, wait time, reason for visit and whether or not you have an appointment is put up on a tv screen in the waiting room. So it's a coin flip on whether or not you should visit this location. If you do, don't expect friendly or experienced service and make sure to make an appointment! read more

I had an appointment scheduled here for a month and when I showed up it turns out they have been closed for the past two weeks!! "Temporarily closed until further notice" is what the sign said. I'm beyond frustrated with quest because this is the second time this has happened during the COVID crisis. I understand the caution but don't let people schedule appointments at closed locations!! If there was a way to rate negative in customer service I would. This is a joke to call Quest a medical facility. the front desk person is unhelpful and rude when answering to the patients and their questions. Not sure who or if she was trained at all but not one person was treated nicely while I sat waiting for my appointment. Once I got my blood drawn I was given a gauze and a single piece of tape which caused my arm to get blood all around the area they drew blood from. As I left their delivery truck parked behind me and I had to honk and walk around to find someone to move their truck. Not sure who the manager is for this location but frankly they are focused on their check rather than building a good staff and care for patients. read more

If I could give a negative 10 fold review for this company I would! I had my yearly routine labs drawn last YEAR in May and my claim has STILL NOT been filed. All I get is the run around from them on the phone, including the so called "supervisor" who knew less than the people below her. Quest is beyond incompetent, I've never run into such irritating and frustrating stupidity in my life. They sent my bill to collections due to their incompetence to file this claim, which I myself and my insurance agent have given them the correct information, even handed it to them on a silver platter for the sake of them messing it up, and guess what...they still have not filed it!! This lab almost jeopardized a kidney donation! I am donating in NY but have been able to get lab work done here in FL. I've gone several times and there were 2 women who would help me. On 9/16 I went for my final pre-op flood draws that would then need to be mailed, prepaid. A supervisor who I had never seen before said that they couldn't do it. I asked what has changed? I never got a clear answer. I was told that they could only send to another Quest Lab. I knew that wasn't true. She kept telling me that she knew everything. This woman was a bully, it was obvious the other women were afraid of her. I advised the hospital in NY what was going on and they started an investigation. I just finished meeting with my donor team and they advised that Quest Labs in FL will be retrained. read more

I had an appointment late this morning for annual blood work. My doctor office sent over the orders. I arrived and there was confusion in the waiting room because the walk-in option was not available today. Once that was cleared up I checked in. I got in to the room and they didn't know who I was... I called the doctor office again and they emailed the orders and faxed them! I sat for another half hour. Finally after standing at the reception desk for 7 minutes I shouted to someone (who was desperately trying to ignore the patients in the lobby) walking past. I asked someone, anyone to check the fax machine. At this point I was told it was not working!! Really? They gave me the fax number and told me to ask that the doctor fax the orders! I sat again, waiting for another half hour and then finally left. I had to go to work. Go elsewhere. They are incompetent AND CLEARLY HAVE MAJOR SSTAFFING ISSUES. read more

Basically this a 5 star operation. The billing is what is really screwed up. A procedure was not covered by Medicare. I chose option #3 that stated that I did not want the procedure and was not responsible for payment. They did it anyway and billed me for it. read more

First and foremost (and more importantly): I highly suggest any one using Quest, make an appointment in advance if you can. I was referred to Quest from LabCorp because Labcorp doesn't accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. Had I known that, I wouldn't have made an appointment with LC online over a week ago. I can't down rate this place and I can't up rate this place. It's somewhere in between because it's a blood work ("diagnostic") center. Having had been turned away for my BCBS insurance card at 7:50 in the morning and told to go to Quest, I arrived at 8, to a very full waiting area. It was almost standing room only, and people were close to sitting on top of each other. I signed in and found my way to a bench to sit and wait to be called to register. The more people strolled in and signed in, the longer it seemed to take to be called. There were people called every 10 - 15 minutes to go in the back and give a donation (blood, etc). By the time I was called to check in and make sure my information was right and put in the computer, I had been there for an hour and 10 minutes with no previous staff acknowledgement. Prior to this point, a gentleman was asked by a staff member if he had been checked in. He had been there as long as I had, and perhaps even longer. It took 10 more minutes of being asked the check in question, to finally be called to check in. Then there was another 10 to be called back to do what he was there for. When I was finally called to check in, I waited 15 more minutes among the crowd, to be called in back and quickly have my blood drawn. I think the phlebotomist that took me, was the only one working.. which may explain why the place was packed to the gills and everything being so slow. All in total, I was there for roughly an hour and a half. I don't know who had appointments and who didn't, as people had come in after me, and waited half the time, while others came in before me and waited longer. It felt like walk ins were welcome, but they will have a much longer wait before they are seen. Good thing I was already in the Quest system and everything was up to date. There will be a point where I'll get my bill in the mail, as it was mumbled to me there was a chance BCBS won't cover everything so I'll have to pick up the tab. Fair enough, as sometimes that happens. There is a silver lining to all of this: The guy checking people in, had a couple minutes "to spare" (he wasn't checking people in, even though I hadn't been called up nor had 5 other people at that time), he took a few minutes to wipe down the check in counter with Lysol wipes. He scrubbed the whole counter, the sign in clip board, the metal chain connecting a pen to the clip board, the pen, and everything else people are touching up in that area. The last location we were at the staff were so rude so I decided to try another location. Unfortunately I was met with the same rude attitude. My 6yr old and almost two, disabled, child had to have routine bloodwork and my 6yr old daughter was so scared. We arrived for our 2:30 appt right on time if not even a few minutes early but they took so long getting us checked in that it was almost 3 before the blood was actually drawn. The woman working the desk told me that I "really should be coming early morning with all these tests and now that we came in the afternoon, the lab lady is going to have to stay late" I explained to the woman at the desk that last time we went to the lab we came in the afternoon and they saw our order and never said anything to me and I would be happy to reschedule. She replied, "no you've already been waiting long enough so we need to just get it over with" they wouldn't even interact with my daughter when she asked if her stuffed elephant could get her blood taken first. I'm a bit concerned that both locations now are treating patients with this attitude. Last time I checked, I'm paying for this service. But it costs absolutely nothing to be kind. They all could use a lesson in how to make someone feel comfortable. read more

My doctor sent me to this lab for bloodwork. We are in the middle of the COVID crisis, so I appreciate caution. But, when there are no instructions on the door outside explaining the check-in process, patients are left outside waiting for service. When I walked to the door, another patient had just been snapped at for attempting to walk in. She had an appointment, and again, no clear instructions for the waiting process. When the employee opened the door for me, she abruptly asked what I was there for. I explained that my doctor sent me over for bloodwork. She rudely asked if I knew exactly what the work was for, stating "you don't know what tests?". No, I do not. She was clearly agitated and was mumbling under her breath as I walked in. She started complaining that she was trying to protect herself from COVID. I understand this. She continued to grumble and I told her there was no reason to snap at patients. She continued to argue and tell me to call her manager, while patients are standing around. I stood up and told her she was being rude and ignorant and I walked out. This pandemic is scary, especially for those in the front lines. But no one wants to be getting blood drawn, especially now. I would have gladly made an appointment if the automated system was working. This person's behavior was petty, immature and clearly unprofessional. If the office staff can not handle simple check-ins without treating people disrespectfully, I can not imagine how the blood draw would have occurred. Please address this employee's behavior as I can guarantee I am not the first person to encounter her abrasive and bullying treatment of patients. read more

We arrived at 2:59PM and even though we had called ahead, they pre-locked the door and their attendant answered the door and so rudely refused to allow my pregnant wife to get her bloodwork done. On the phone we were told that if we arrived before 3PM this would be possible. If we weren't in urgent need of the test results I would've waited to go to the same location tomorrow to tell them how off-putting this was. I've been using this Quest location for about a year now on a monthly basis. I'm familiar with two other Quest locations and a competitor so I feel that I have a pretty good benchmark. The New Hampshire Court location is not the best but the they are far from the worst. They generally run about 15-30 behind on their appointments. I usually set my appointments for morning hours between 9:00 and 11:00. The reception is not the warmest but it''s tolerable. The phlebotomists are always cordial and professional. I have never had an issue with any of them. There is another Quest location that I have frequented that runs a much higher flow but far more more efficiently than this location. I use this location for convenience of fitting the route of my activities for the day. Otherwise, I'd go back to the more efficient location. I recommend the New Hampshire Court location to anyone who doesn't always have their skivvies in a bunch. If you walk into this place with a cranky attitude then you'd better be set for disappointment. read more

OK, me and my wife went to a new Doctor and were given prescriptions for tests to be run. The Dr. said that we needed to call Quest and make an appointment. We did that and headed out for their location using their brouchure to find the place. We ended up getting lost because as it turns out their brouchure is wrong. The location map of the place shows their location as southwest of the intersection of Summerlin and Winkler. The real location is on the Other side of the intersection. We tried calling but only got an answering machine so we were left with finding the place by ourselves. When we finally arrived and were checking in what we found was an employee behind the counter with a Very Bad attutide. I believe her name was Lu Ann ? She was throwing the sign in clip board around and acting like she restented us being there and was not being helpful. Eventually, she gets her computer working and we find out that my wife and I had orders for a lot of tests that Medicare does not consider Medically Necessary. So, her answer is to give us a form to sign that says we will pay for these tests ourselves. I can tell you that IMHO these tests are normal physical blood work and I believe they are covered by Medicare. We passed on taking the responsibilty for paying for those tests until the Doctor and Medicare could work out a solution. In short, we believe that there should be someone to answer the phone in that office, That receptionist needs to be retrained to improve her attitude and customer service skills. They need to me more forthcoming about explaning what they are doing and what you are signing. This experience pretty much ruined my morning and I will be looking at alternative providers for future lab work. read more

I've been going to this Quest location for routine lab work for at least the last seven years. The employees overall have been ok, not the rudest, and not the most polite either, but my most recent experience was so poor I was compelled to write a review. I arrived at my appointment time, used the computer monitor to check in, and sat in the waiting area. I was not feeling well, as I fasted for 12 hours for my tests, and when I was called to the front desk, was unable to answer Kamesha's question fast enough for her. She did not give me two seconds to answer before she started repeating the same question over and over until I gave her the response she desired. She did not once ask if I was feeling ok. She NEVER asked if I FASTED, even after looking at my requisition order. No concern or compassion at all. I expressed my disappointment in her treatment of me, to which she claimed she is very professional. I disagree. When I was called to the treatment room for my blood draw, I could hear her complaining about me to her coworkers. It's a very small office...voices carry. I'm fairly certain complaining about a patient within earshot doesn't qualify as professional. I would not recommend this location to anyone. In fact, my doctor's office performs the same lab tests as Quest. Quest's location is closer for me, but definitely not worth the poor patient treatment and customer service. read more

Place was loaded with people, way to small waiting area. Had an appointment and was seen 45 minuets after my appointment. The only nice person there was the phlebotomist and I am sure she took the brunt of folks waiting way to long in a small, not so clean waiting area. It did not help that we were so packed in and 1/4 of the people were sneezing! What is worse is I have to go back to have some blood redone, I'm sure I will be treated like it is my fault. read more

I have used the New Hampshire Ave. location for years. Sometimes the wait is short for me, sometimes, non-existent. The phlebotomist is always nice. Invariably insurance or the Dr.'s office messes up the codes and Quest is always patient and helpful with the resolution for payment. The desk clerk is not always the most cheerful. I try to be understanding of whatever may be motivating someone else. read more

When I came in and told them that my 22 year old special needs daughter was terrified and I had 4 adults to help me. I explained 4 times she would be terrified and scarred and would fuss. She said they would draw her blood. They then called me to the window and she started talking to the person behind me in line, I told her I could step out of line as she seemed she wanted to talk to the man. I asked her if she was going to continue to be rude, and she stated, quite rude again, that she was not rude. Two of the men in the waiting room asked someone if they had ever been there before as that woman was always horribly rude. She then called, Carol, and then argued with a woman, named Carol that she did not ,call her. Four people in the waiting room said, yes you did call Carol. Then, when it was my daughter's turn she came to the parking lot and practically accosted us and said she was the manager and she would not let her come in. I feel that she was discriminated due to her autistic disability. This person should be fired, it is not right to discriminate against disabled people. I went to another lab right from there and got the blood done and was finished within 20 minutes. There was no reason for her horrible behavior and discrimination against my autistic daughter you all are a medical facility. Her name was like Kimyate she had her badge turned so you could not read her name. read more

Ok. So I head down early to beat the crowds. The New Hampshire Court location. I arrive at 7:30 to a full waiting room and a lady at the front desk who seemed to have disdain for me even though I'd never been there before. I said, "I guess my plans to beat the crowd didn't work"...and she replies with an attitude like she really wished I wasn't there, "you should've made an appointment. Just put your name on the list and when we are done with all these people who made appointments maybe we can get to you. That is only if others don't come". Now....I thought the wicked witch was dead. Trust me..she's alive and well at Quest Diagnostics my friends. The moral to the story is be sure to get an appointment and remove any thoughts from your head of feeling appreciated or respected prior to arrival. Never again under any circumstances. :) read more
