"Chola" receptionist depicted in other reviews is nice but snarky at those who come in late thinking they still deserve everything right away. She's doing her job. 1 Star for the other staff's extremely condescending service. I noticed the difference in attitudes towards the hispanic patients(welcomed, acknowledged, nice tone) than the Asian patients. I came in for a drug screen. Simple urine test. Things to note before going in 1) you aren't allow to drink anything inside/aren't allowed to leave the room after you check in 2)Do your hw before coming in bc if you ask questions you'll be yelled at The toilet was covered in urine from previous use. I came here for some tests and did a Walk In. I waited about 15 minutes from checking in. You must wear a mask to enter the building and all the staff is also wearing masks and gloves. Temperature is checked as well. The staff was all very friendly and professional. This was my second time and had a positive experience both times. read more

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. This place is HORRID. Doesn't follow the correct policies that the state now enforced as far as prenatal policies. RUDE staff members that don't help at all at the front desk as well as not speaking to patients properly or helping with the correct information. My wife and I are in the process of having a child and need tests to be done and they didn't process them because of a nurse who doesn't know the correct policy that the state has put into place. This place gets BUSY. Make an appointment if you can. Although the machine operated appointment setter is atrocious I would highly recommend making one online. If you make an appointment you can skip the line to check in. HORRIBLE, lab threw out my blood and tried to tell the doctor that they ran out of my blood, huh? So I had to go back to my doctor to have more blood drawn and sent off. They bill my insurance company twice! Now I have been dealing with this since December of 2018. read more

There are only three QD branches that are relatively near to where I live. Namely Covina, Whittier and Pasadena. Since the Covina branch was the closest to me, it was the most logical choice. However, the time I saved up in driving, was ultimately spent racing back and forth due to the misdirection of the receptionist named Leslie. Normally, I don't like to specifically call out employees, but she was completely scatter brained that I felt that I could make an exception. As I ventured my way to the desk, I informed Leslie that I was a walk-in. She stated "we don't accept any walk-ins at this location." I found that a bit odd considering the Pasadena and Whittier locations do, but I shrugged it off and made an appointment. When my appointment came, three hours later, I felt a little nauseous. I desperately needed to go to the bathroom but Leslie stated "you can't go until we test you." My tester was late. My digestive problems prevented me from holding it in any longer and I raced to the bathroom. Leslie then informed me that I couldn't take the test due to that incident. I reasoned with her, stating that I could just drink another bottle of water and wait for the next opportunity to relieve myself. She said that was not possible. Already peeved, I traveled to the Pasadena location. I arrived at 2:55, right before their closing time of 3:00. I was out and processed by 3:05. Talking with the employees there, they were completely baffled by my experience. The service and competence there was miles ahead than the Covina location. Calling out to the supervisor, I think you need to retrain your staff. read more

What place makes you wait 1 hour to pee in a cup for 10 seconds? Oh yeah. Quest Diagnostics. Had to get a drug screen for nursing school, and this facility was the closest location I could have it done. As a prompt person, I make it a point to set appointments and be on time. Of course, life happens and PEOPLE RUN LATE. I came the first day hoping for a walk-in since the automated message of the company states that walk-ins will be available. I arrive, lady tells me that drug screens are done thru appt only. No big deal, it seemed busy anyway. I made an appointment for the next day. I come in ten minutes late the next day due to outside circumstances and they tell me that they cannot take me because they already have the next patient on the list. Okay, 1) what facility turns away a patient that has an appointment for being 10 minutes late 2) there were only three people in the waiting room ??? Can't you accommodate me ??? They then proceeded to tell me that appointments for drug tests can be made only by WALKING IN the facility. What the hell? What kind of medical facility in 2015 doesn't do appointments online or over the phone? So I made it for the next day, 11 AM sharp. I had the lady up front double check that it was 11. Checked in, they state the appointment is at 11:30. No big deal, I can wait. I'm sitting here RIGHT NOW, it is 12:12 and they haven't called me up. This place is so poorly run and the wait time is so long even for appointments. During my time here - I kid you not - every single patient went up to the front desk to ask why the wait was so long. Word of advice: take the trip to drive somewhere else. This place sucks. They wasted my time and other people (who are possibly sick) times. read more

I came here yesterday for a pre employment drug test, I walked in at almost 3PM and checked in on the tablet. The young lady working the front desk was very helpful and friendly, the gentleman who helped with my test was also very friendly and swift. It was a little weird having to empty my pockets out because I've never had that happen for a drug test, I've also never had to wash my hands before a drug test either. I guess they're trying to prevent people from cheating the system, any who from the moment I checked in until I got in my car it was maybe 15 minutes. I'm very happy with the service I was provided, my biggest gripe about this place is the HORRIBLE phone system they have, all calls are routed to an automated system that makes reaching anyone impossible. I tried to make an appointment both by phone and online no one answered the phone and even their recorded message states you can make an appointment online I found that to also be untrue. This is the only location near me open on Saturday so I took a chance and drove out there. When I arrived 15 minutes before they open there were 30 people ahead of me. Originally arrived here at 11:30 a.m. and lady told me I had to make an appointment when no where online or when you call does it say you need appointment, matter of fact it says Walk-Ins welcomed. You guys should change your voice recording/website and be more specific because that's false advertisement. Lady ended up scheduling me for appointment at 12:30 so I arrived back at 12:25, TV screen said it will be 1 minute wait and ended up waiting about 20 minutes. Leaving this place at 12:50 and I got here at 12:25 (technically 11:30) When I asked them why it was taking so long LESLIE B. stated there were other appointments ahead of me and marked me as a walk-in... but wait I thought there were no walk-ins and you just gave me an appointment??? When asked about the wait time, they're rude and automatically say there's nothing they can do. They need a better management that cares for people. This location sucks! Staff is rude! Don't make any eye contact at all. There's no windows at all and it gets all muggy when its packed. They have you wait in long lines and don't have appointment and non-appointment clip boards. So if you have an appointment (like we did) expect to wait a long time to be called. This is not my first time getting my blood test her but it will be my last! Waited for about 30 minutes before getting into the room and then 15 minutes more. To top off my anxious waiting the Phlebotomist did not change her gloves after taking a blood from another patient in another room!!! Really? HAVE THEY HEARD OF INFECTION CONTROL? Being a registered nurse myself I have things not done properly but not changing gloves after drawing blood? I was very disappointed in this unprofessional behavior! One of the WORST testing labs that I have been to ever. They say it will be "11 mins" wait on their wait screen then your name disappears and you wait ANOTHER 20 mins yet 40 mins later here I am STILL WAITING, they call others before you even though they come in 15 mins after you. State no children allowed yet a family of 5, with young children all walked back with no question. Don't bother going to them, find somewhere else. Their own Yelp ratings should say something. It is interesting that Quest has a COVID alert posted here on Yelp as I visited today and was met with lack of precautions for my safety. I had a mask on and was asked to remove it before they could proceed. I asked if they could just check the mask and then I could put it back on and they said no. They began being rude and annoyed. I asked what if I refused to take the mask off in accordance with The CA order that all people wear a mask in public and they said that would mean that I refuse service and they started to cancel my order. I asked in the face of COVID has this policy been evaluated and was told "this is the policy, to remove your mask". After debate and considering the need for the service I needed, I agreed to take off my mask. Then I was asked to rinse my hands in the sink. I said I did not feel comfortable touching the faucets and could one of the two people turn it on and one of them said "oh my god". Both were annoyed and rude once I debated removing my masI told them I was going to write a review and that being rude during this time is especially stressful since people are concerned with the pandemic. They each had gloves on, face shields and masks and gowns. There were people in the area before me and I was just concerned for my safety or bringing something home to my child. This was a terribly stressful experience and I encourage Quest to evaluate their policy and/or staff. My appt was at 554 e San Bernardino at 1pm on 4/15. Horribly rude staff and bad customer service. I showed up at 11:30 on a Saturday to get lab work done that my dr just requested. I went here since this is the only lab in my area that was open on Saturday till noon. Even though I showed up at 11:30, they refused to let me in and claimed to be "short staffed." They turned away three others too while I was there and were extremely rude to the one guy they did let in eventually since he had an appointment. They were horrible. read more

I've been here twice. The staffs are very rude both times. The first time I walked in and they never acknowledged me or anything so I started to sign in on the kiosk. Then one of the staff "barked" at me. She tells me that I'm not supposed to sign in on that kiosk. Apparently I'm supposed to sign in on a different one. Okay.... If they have acknowledged me and told me what I am supposed to do, I would hace known. The last time I was here. There is one kiosk open and facing out so I asked a heavy set receptionist if I should sign in there. She barked at me "No!" Like I shouldn't have asked or said anything. When they finally ready to help me at 9:30am, I was too early for the drug testing. They ended up telling me to leave and come back at 10am. Apparently they collect your urine sample right at 10am so don't be early for your drug testing. There was no patients waiting. Quest Diagnostics should evaluate these employees. I don't know how they get their jobs or stay in their jobs when they are so rude. I used to be a receptionist for a doctor. If I have treated the patients that way, I would have been fired. I have no choice but to go here because my doctor sent me here to get my testings done. I also have a pre-employment drug testing here. If I have a choice, I would go somewhere else. DO NOT GET YOUR TESTING DONE HERE. I am a caregiver of an elderly woman and I took her to drop off some specimens. About two hours later we get a call from a lady saying that she did not label the specimens properly and this is after I repeatedly asked them if the labeling was fine. So we drove all the way back to quest. This is where things get extremely unprofessional and for lack of a better word, scary. When we arrived the lady told us to go INSIDE THE ROOM WHERE THEY KEEP THE SPECIMENS to finish labeling the specimens. We could of easily switched around peoples specimens. How would you feel if you had specimens in there and they're just letting anybody back there. I couldn't believe it. It gets worse. While we are back there, one the employees walks in and asks us what we're doing and I explained to him the situation. HE THEN REMARKS ON THE SMELL OF THE SPECIMEN! If you don't like the way fecal matter smells then don't get a job where fecal matter is involved. So rude and unprofessional. It has to be illegal to let anybody in the specimen room. I get the white nurse with the red/blonde striped hair is doing her "job" but to not ask enough questions to help clients is absurd to say the least! She begins with "don't sign in here if your a walk in" but you need to make an appointment! Ok. I'll go along. I make an appointment and just in case I miss the appointment I make one through the phone which is just as hard also - I make it for 1 pm. I miss the noon appt and get there 10 min to 1 pm having everything ready for this nurse, she still stops me and then tells me now I have to sign in the walk in sheet. I inform her I made a phone appt - which she's says (I love this part) the phone appointments are for pre employment blood work only (she's smart because she changed her story as I gave her details of the phone appt each time) I try to explain the phone appt system does not SAY THAT. She is not having any of that so there's nothing more to say but fill out the paperwork and sit down. Poor client services. Would give a no stars if I could . very piss poor additude. I came in for a pre-employment drug test. I scheduled an appt and everything. First off the lady in the front is extremely rude, if your aren't Hispanic, she won't even look at you. She was completely rude until I explained that it was a pre employment drug test, and that I don't do drugs. I asked to at least be able to go pee in the cup because after waiting 30 min after my appt time, I REALLY had to pee. The lady at the front wouldn't even answer me, she was taking non appt people back to do the same thing and let me sit there almost pissing my pants. Don't go here if you are a white person in business attire cause they won't even look at you or help you. After waiting 45 min after my appt time I finally just left and will reschedule at another office. It's pretty sad the way they (or at least the front office lady) treats people that are not her preferred ethnicity. Or at least that's how she made me feel.
