I just can't bring myself to rate 5 stars because the facility feels a little outdated, a bit messy, and I couldn't help but cringe as I opened up the urine drop off and it was FILLED with other client's pee cups. Also, there is no signage outside of the building so I drove around the parking lot until I finally realized that it was INSIDE Tom Thumb next to the pharmacy. The black lady who assisted us was quite rude and seemed irritated when asking questions about the blood test. When she asked what specific test my sister was having, I explained that my mother had completed the paperwork and that I wasn't sure of the exact test, only that it was either related to her iron levels or something recommended by her dermatologist because she is taking Accutane. Instead of helping us clarify the information, she responded with a negative attitude and gave us an uncomfortable look. I understand that healthcare workers can have busy and stressful days, but patients and their families are often nervous as well. A little kindness and professionalism can make a big difference. I hope Quest will remind its staff of the importance of treating patients with courtesy and respect.

By the end we were joking like we had known each other for awhile. She didn't cross tech/patient boundaries just made the ordeal a bit lighter on me which I appreciated. Sometimes labs can be too technical and too impersonal. That's what I expected...but glad that's not how I was treated. We aren't just another number...we do have feelings and are usually frustrated. We tried calling to verify this, but there is no option to speak to a person. When we arrived for his appointment, everything is self-serve so we were unable to verify whether a male practitioner was present or not. The female practitioner told us that if they had a direct phone line, it would be ringing all day. They brought him back and after waiting 30 minutes they could not find a male practitioner, so we had to leave and drive to a completely different location that had one. The entire experience was extremely frustrating and over an hour of our time was wasted for something that could have been easily done in 10 minutes.

You find locations by the zip code and choose your available time. After you pick the location and find out theres no available time convenient for you. Why didn't they freaking do that in the first place? Their armband string was also out. I'm pretty sure that vile of blood was suppose to be on a rack or safe somewhere other than lying on the table.
