Had to take a my Neighbor for blood work . She had an appointment at 2:30. We decided to try the walk-in unfortunately when we got there we couldn't cancel the 230 appointment. I asked if they would take us as a walk-in even though I couldn't cancel the appointment I was lucky we waited about 20 minutes so everything went quite smooth. The girl that took care of my lady friend, was very polite and professional. I've been here before, and it wasn't a good experience, but this time it really did improve. The only downfall is it's terrible parking for handicap. read more

Quest Diagnostics - The lobby - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Bristol, Connecticut

I would not recommend this location. If you have the option, I suggest visiting a different Quest Diagnostics office. The staff member who drew my blood was unprofessional, the facility did not appear to be well maintained, and the overall quality of care fell below my expectations. I hope the management addresses these issues by improving the facility and ensuring staff receive the training and support needed to provide a more professional and positive patient experience. read more

Very ghetto. Waiting room was dirty. Old chairs, ripped chairs dirty carpet. The check in point was dirty and broken, water stains on ceiling, hand sanitizer was empty. Only one check in point and no humans to actually assist you. The lady who took blood didn't even have her long hair tied back. Sad to see yet another place who cares more about profit than the actual paiten read more

My husband had a drug test here and the older lady that did it made my husband very uncomfortable to the point be wamted to leave

30 minutes before closing time I signed into their system in the empty lobby. It had just accepted me and told me there was no current activity and 0 minutes wait time. A minute later someone came out and said no, they wouldn't take me as they had three more appointments. I pointed out no one was there except me. He shrugged and just tried to give me a card to schedule an appointment. I said I have the app and went out to my car. I happened to end up on my phone in their parking lot for an hour. No one showed up during that time. This location has all the blinds closed for all the windows and door. The door and blinds never opened. At 11:52 I tried the door only to find they had locked it after sending me away. So, they lied about appointments, otherwise why lock the door, and denied service even after their automated system scheduled me in without even asking what I was there for, namely a simple quick urine sample and blood draw. Now many of the locations in central Connecticut have been denying walk ins within 10-15 minutes of closing this year, but usually there is at least one patient waiting or walking in. But half an hour? With no patients? Plus, it had snowed overnight for the first time in a while so some people are less likely to drive and show up, and no one has the courtesy to cancel a lab appointment since they know they are supposed to take walk-ins if patients aren't there. Two stars for the automated system that took 30 seconds to sign me in, tell me the status of a 0 minute wait time, and that the location would be open for another 30 minutes. System has been improving since its inception. Zero stars for the staff that lied, denied service with no reason, and locked the front door behind me never to open it again the remainder of the 30 minutes they were "open." It's now 12:30, they've been officially closed for 30 minutes, and not once since they turned me away has that door opened, nor has anyone shown up to the parking lot or building to try and enter their door. read more

Made an appointment via their automated phone system and they couldn't confirm anything once I got there. Had to use their kiosk, then just sit and wait. They don't have an actual front desk employee so you have to wait for someone to come out for another patient before you can get an answer. The staff was nice. Thats the reason for the one star aside from the fact I couldn't give a zero star review like I'd want to. It's also incredibly warm/stuffy in the room as other comments mentioned. read more

The most rude, unprofessional, racist place to go! I was getting yelled at in front of my 6year old son from the person that was going to do his bloodwork. Appointment was @2:40 check in and went to wait in the car because that what the table ask you if your want to wait in the waiting area or in your vehicle they will come out or send you a text RIGHT I seen that it was 3:05 so I walk in to see what's going on, this man that work there call me a liar he said he want out to the waiting area call my son name and I was not there when I try to explain that I was in the car he said Im not no babysitter to be looking for you and when I ask for his name and name of boss or number he yelled you a grown as woman look for it..I ask him so you not going to see my kid, he yelled nope and get out! I've never gotten up and walked out of a lab, like I had to today. I was recommended here by a local provider for a quick, easy experience. What ended up happening was I experienced long waits between patients called before me, was skipped over and others seen although I arrived first at my check in time, where I finally left because there was zero opportunity to talk to any staff to follow up on why I wasn't seen although I came for my check in time, as their monitor was out and not digitally showing the wait room where they were in line. Wasted 40 minutes of my day. Absolutely wouldn't recommend. read more

My Dr. wants me to get blood work 2X/year, and I've been doing it for 20+ years. As a result, I'm well-versed in the process, but over the years, its disheartening that the only option left for blood/lab work is the now-monopoly Quest. All the classic pitfalls of monopolies are rearing its ugly head, and today is a prime example. However, I've had better luck at other Quest locations, but Bristol is terrible for several reasons: Being the big city of Bristol, there's far too much walk-in customer traffic, the location is tiny (e.g., waiting room, guessing capacity also), and the parking lot is very tight and not conducive to people coming in/out. As a result of the chaos, this location's employees come across indifferent at best. My biggest complaint today is the the Quest policy that cancels appt. if you check into their kiosk 10 minutes late. Yes, you get axed if it finally your turn to check in & you're there 11 minutes late. Today I arrived a couple minutes early, but it took 5+ minutes to enter the small Bristol clinic parking lot b/c they are paving the side street and ALL traffic from your lot needed to come in/out out of the very busy route 6/Farmington Ave (I was 3rd in line just to enter the lot)...with 4 lanes of morning traffic whizzing by, it was an unsafe situation. When finally parked, now 5 minutes late, the line to check in was OUT THE DOOR. I was 4th in line, w/ 3 sets of elderly people in front of me, each taking nearly 5 minutes to navigate Quests kiosk (that painfully asks you to re-enter all the info you already put in when making the appt.!). The person directly in front of me took even longer as I overheard he was an hour early for his 10am appointment, yet he & his wife still fumbled through the process, then only deciding to leave 7 minutes later. Note: While still in line, I attempted to ask the Quest employee who came into the room if she could check me in b/c I was going to miss my (ridiculously strict) 10 minute window, and she rudely said it was my problem, not hers. Ah yes, the monopoly corporate slogan! 15 minutes later, when finally at the Kiosk at 8:58am, it told me I missed the 10 minute window, and my only option was to wait 90 more minutes (till 10:30am). ... No thanks, as I've got job to get to, AND I've already fasted 12 hours. Quest is saving $$$ by no longer staffing the check in window, yet puts zero efforts to manage extra busy morning periods, and again, the inflexible policy is shameful. read more

Tried to drop off a sample for testing. Waited 30 minutes for someone to take the bag with all the paperwork from ProHealth. Finally left and brought it to the Bristol Hospital Lab on Farmington Ave in Bristol. Was there one minute sample taken. Done! Never going back to Quest again. read more

What an easy experience! I made my appt on the website. When I arrived, I checked in with my QR code and only waited a couple of minutes before I was called even though the waiting room was full. My appt was for 915, and they were prompt. The place was small but clean, and my phlebotomist was very knowledgeable and friendly. It is hard to find a vein on me, but she found one and took 5 vials. She was apologetic that it took a bit to find the vein, etc., but she was so friendly, it didn't matter. The receptionist said goodbye to me as I left the office, which was a pleasant surprise. I've been getting blood draws for a long time for my condition, and for a Quest, this was the nicest I've been to. read more

Inept, dangerously so. Upon arrival, as a walk in, I was given priority over a scheduled patient (that's pretty unfair) The next moment I was in the exam room, it took 2 attempts to have the proper paperwork to send my labs to more than one doctor. The next part was the fact they had no butterfly needles to draws with... Quote 'the courier hasn't arrived with our supplies this morning' - oh, of course... Because collection supplies are not essential to business? The next moments were phlebotomists trying to stab at veins in my arm by look, not touch, and not succeeding. (Improper needle used, improperly landmarked puncture site) 2 other phlebotomists didn't attempt because 'we don't have butterfly needles (25 GA) but the courier will be here at noon. The facility v was ice cold, this isn't ideal for veins and blood flow. Also, I got to observe a make pediatric patient and an attempted draw, then staff bark orders at a screaming child like 'hold him still, it didn't hurt your sister, so crying, it really doesn't hurt' in an attempt to get a sample - fully aware no small needles were in the building, and almost outright abating this poor tortured child... For the sake of all things ethical! But in the end, I almost passed out, not from fear, but lack of food...a fasting patient needs to be treated with care and caution. This was seemingly disregarded, and suggested that I waited until noon for needles; despite the fact I arrived at about 8:45 am and declared I had been fasting since 12 hours prior. I reseated myself in the waiting room, thinking about maybe attempting to wait on the supplies, but, then decided to conclude the collection attempt and break my fast and eat a snack, for my safety at about 11am, collect my lab requisition sheets, and leave, so I thought. Me: Can I have my 4 lab requisitions? Them: One Second, just wait here in the waiting room (From the doorway, in front of 3 patients) Them: I can't find them Me: Where are they? Them: They seem to be missing, but we can pull them up at any other Quest location Me: I don't want to go to another Quest location, at all now, I want my papers Them: She destroyed your paperwork. Me: Wow, okay. Them: Okay. (Door remains open, awkward silence prevails, patients look distressed) Me: Okay? You can close the door, there's nothing else you can do. (Preparing to leave) Me: So, let me verify this, you have no butterfly needles, but you're open for business? (Through service window) Them: Yes, we're still waiting on Aramark That's when I left. There's no way I can trust this organization with my health ever again, especially at this location. Dangerous ineptitude, just in time phlebotomy supplies, horrible patient care. I'm kind of scared to go back, I wish I could have frozen time and helped that poor kid. What a stressing day. Remember, there are no state phlebotomist certification requirements in Connecticut, be sure to choose carefully. read more

Had an appointment today at 11:15am and it is a snowy/icy day. I received all the standard texts asking me about symptoms and the final check in message preparing for my arrival. Pulled up and the lot was empty with all the shades drawn. It looked closed. I checked in anyway. I walked into the waiting room a man emerged from the back who looked like I had awaken him from a nap. He said there was nobody there to draw my blood but maybe there would be someone after 12:00pm. I could wait an hour or come back. I asked then why didn't anyone call me or why I had received the confirmation texts, especially on a day like today. He said, "This is not my control." He said he seen my name On the list if appointments which confirmed that he knew I had an appointment and was coming but still did not reach out to me to save me a trip. I told him that this was unacceptable and left. Upon arriving at home I tried calling other Quest sites, most had automated messages and I was not going to take the chance to drive somewhere else without a guarantee that there was a phlebotomist present. Some had numbers out of service. Quest Diagnostics you NEED to do better. Shame on you. read more

Excellent service. They worked hard to get me taken care of. The team was great. One shot blood draw. Went to 22 pine st. Only to wait 40 minutes and not be seen. This team was great. Thank you for great service and professional atmosphere. read more

No one looks forward to having blood work done and it is as unpleasant as you would imagine. Everyone moves at a glacial pace. You are called in for someone to update your insurance and billing information and that takes forever. The actual process of extracting blood from your body also seems to also take longer than you would expect and I am not sure why. It is nice that appointments are honored and you will generally be seen immediately if you arrive with an appointment. read more

Horrible customer service. Has an appunt and was made to still wait for one hour. The person at reception was very rude and tried to threaten me. read more

I will never return here. Not my first time here, but to worst experience ever! The guy sits behind a closed glass desk, barks at customer to go outside due to not enough space, then is too lazy to go outside to get to people who are standing in the cold and snow. They want people to sit in chairs, but have nothing available to wipe down the chairs between costumers. They demanded I sit, and when I went outside rather than sit, the man was rude when I tried to explain I didn't want to sit in his chair. For speaking up he said he was going to refuse me service, but another worker called me in. This is no way to treat anyone, especially a customer who has been fasting for more than 12 hours. The woman who called me in and drew my blood was professional, however due to how I was treated, without compassion and empathy, I will not return here, or to another Quest location. Terrible experience overall. read more
