I come here because it's convenient for me, but as far as patient service centers go, it's pretty good! Today Wendi drew my blood and she was awesome. Sweet, personable, and got my blood drawn the first time and quickly without hurting me. I arrived right on time for my appointment and was taken back straight away, and back out the door less than 5 minutes later. Most of my visits usually go like this. This is great when fasting and ready to go and get my food and coffee! It's also located in a busy parking lot right next to Target which is convenient. My only critique is that there is no person up front to speak to, so if you have a question or need to use the restroom you have to attack the person who is calling the next victim, er, I mean patient. But there is a screen showing how many people are ahead of you and next which is nice. And they don't have the full name for PHI purposes. Even though I didn't have an appointment, they were able to take me in within 10 minutes (I know appointments are recommended, so I got really lucky). I was super nervous because I hate getting my blood drawn--I always feel like I'm going to pass out and I'm a total baby about it. But Wendy was incredibly kind, confident, and fast. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, and it ended up being the easiest blood draw I've had in all 33 years of dealing with this. I think this is the 1st Quest location I've ever given 5 stars! I had an appointment at 8:30 AM on a Friday. Usually when they send the text to check in, they don't get it or there's a complication or still a long wait. Today, as soon as I got the text message and checked in, I walked through the door and I was greeted by Ms. Marcy right away and brought back. So fast that I didn't have to sit down! She was very friendly, worked efficiently and is very experienced. I was out of there in about 10 to 20 minutes! I will definitely use this location in the future. the staff was unprofessional showing no empathy or thoughtfulness to me as a patient. Nor did it appear that they showed any professionalism to others. The employee who took my blood, ( Wendy), left me with a horrific black and blue vein bruise. There was no diversity in race. every staff member was black. No Asian, white, or any other race were employed at the Quest in Boca Raton. I made my appointment online and was then told after sitting for over an hour, ( after checking into their office kiosk Even though the prompt repeated my name and confirmed my appointment), that the information I gave was incorrect. I have never experienced such poor service at a blood testing facility than this particular Quest. Closed lobby, will not even speak to you unless you have appointment, which you can't get on line for days. Talk to the hand... If you are dumb enough to wait as a walk in, it is a 3-4 hours queue. Self service kiosk and on line apps are horrible and kick you off, if they even work. If you are seriously sick or need any level of customer service, go somewhere else. And we thought the NHS in the U.K. was the worst service ever, nope, Quest wins hands down. read more

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. DO NOT JUST WALK IN. If you do decide to just do a walk in like me, you will be waiting. I came around 11am on a Thursday, I wasn't taken in back until 1:45pm. The waiting room provides tons of entertainment from just people watching people complain. When you walk in, make sure you sign in via the machine. There is no one to talk to behind the counter, sans the woman who occasionally pops in to get some paperwork. There is a TV in the lobby that will tell you where you are on the waitlist, and approximately how much time you will have to wait. Once they actually called me back, I was in and out within 10 minutes for a basic blood withdraw. Bottom line, don't go during your one hour lunch break, you're gonna have to wait here. read more

Quest Diagnostics, located at 21653 FL-7, Boca Raton, FL It had been a long time since I was in a Lab diagnostics facility since my primary dr's nurse always draws my blood. I had too many tests this time so I had to go to Quest. I was happily surprised! Making an appointment on line was very easy! I found a morning appointment (it was a week from when I scheduled, but I was happy). The check in kiosk process couldn't have been easier. It took only a couple minutes. My name appeared on the screen so I could keep track of when it was my turn. I was called on time by Gloria (I hope that is her name, I don't remember and should have written it down). She was wonderful! She was kind, caring and understanding. These were a lot of tests but she had the utmost patience. Her skill was excellent. One poke and that spot was able to give us a lot of full vials. She definitely knew her stuff! Today, 24 hours later, you can't even see that I had bloodwork. The atmosphere (little offices) was very soothing. I couldn't see or hear others getting blood drawn. The facility was clean and informative. So I was a bit surprised, but wow! Gloria and her team on FL-7 get a 5 (wish I could give a 10). By the way - some of the results have started to come through - that fast! I have been waiting for 40 minutes and the only interactions I have had with the staff is rude and unhelpful. The staff yelled at me and told me that I did something wrong when I followed the prompts on the screen. I have never had this terrible of an experience anywhere. Last week I went to quest for the last time. There were about 30 people waiting in their tiny, waiting room. You have to sign in at a kiosk and interacting with the staff is totally frowned on. I came in with a confirmation for time and place and when I went to the kiosk, they did not have my reservation. So of course, I did the logical thing and asked one of the staff when came out to call someone in. I showed him the confirmation-in black-and-white. His comment to me was if it's not in the kiosk computer then there is no reservation. He told me to wait a minute then came out and told all the walkins to go home that they would not be seen that day. But since he told me to wait, I waited about 45 minutes and then left. When I got home, I found a company called ON SITE blood draw, my experience with these on site, blood draws is that they usually don't take Medicare, but fortunately this company did. A doctor called me a few minutes after I filled out the form online, and he sent out a lovely young woman name Brandy.. I will never ever be using quest again, and you shouldn't either! read more

I was a little scared to come to this location bc of all the bad reviews but everything was totally fine. as long as you make an appt (which is so so so easy to do over the phone) then you will be seen within 10-15 minutes of checking in. After reading the reviews for Quest I definitely didn't want to go there. My insurance only covers the bill 100 percent at Quest. I didn't really have much choice but to go there. However, I was so pleasantly surprised. The staff and Tatiana, at the Deerfield location were all so kind. Place was nice and clean. They took me immediately at my appointment time. Medical staff Nichol helped me when I went, and she was the bomb. She was very friendly and efficient. Made me laugh a lot, and had an amazing sense of humor. She was very instructive and informative, which really helped me because I had no idea what I was doing. I was uneasy at first but right away she made me feel welcome. Having a scheduled appointment is the key to this place! If you want things to be smooth, and functional this is the best way to go about it. It's very easy to see what scheduled times are still available. Sign in/or create an account on Quest. Pre-registration is also very helpful. Super easy, and takes literally a few minutes. My wife needed to have monthly blood tests for an ongoing medical issue, and by chance we scheduled an appointment here. We got here 25 minutes early to ensure she would not be late. She checked in, went to the waiting room, and 15 minutes after her appointment time they deleted her appointment and turned her into a walk-in. She waited more than an hour after her original appointment time to be seen, and there were other people in the waiting room who had earlier appointments and had been waiting even longer. I'm not sure if they are understaffed, unorganized, or just horribly incompetent and unorganized, but there is definitely some sort of critical failure here. Try to schedule at any other location if you can. Edit: Also the phlebotomist tried 4 different times to hit a vein before giving up and having somebody else come try. Clearly they aren't very skilled at the actual work, in addition to being poorly organized. read more

I usually have an appointment when I go to this quest.but I was having trouble with the online appts in my quest. It did say this location had only 1 minute waiting time for walk-in. So I went over. There were 3 people waiting when I arrived so I checked in under my name date of birth etc. and it said would you like to wait outside or inside, and I chose outside. It said it would text me when it was my turn. I waited about 25 minutes in the car and went back to check and see how long it would be, it was now 10-15 minutes before closing. The girls were rude, and told me they are done and they don't take walk ins after 245. I said it doesn't say that anywhere and they said we are done. The system here is awful. Every time I'm here, "38" minutes of waiting turns into HOURS, (it's at least double the time they say it is) since their appointment/walk-in system is broken. (Prepare to wait for two or more hours at least if you have a walk-in--that's been my experience for the last few days, at least.) People leave, frustrated. Nobody is at the front desk to help anyone. The workers here aren't the issue at all: they're great phlebotomists, yes, and they're nice; however, the system in-place makes them do EVERYTHING. They're processing insurance, printing paperwork, doing bloodwork, etc. With one person doing three people's jobs, and it makes the system crawl at a snail's pace. It is understaffed here. I think there were MAYBE two workers here for today and yesterday, with over 15 people waiting in-line, with registered times of 125+ minutes (see the photo for reference). Don't waste your time here. Don't go to Quest. Find somewhere else. The issue isn't the workers here--it's corporate. read more

This is the worst Quest location ever. I would give 0 start if I could. My appointment was at 9:30. I checked in at the kios and saw my name on the screen. I waited in the lobby for more than 20 minutes. They called other people who checked in after me, so I went to ask what happened to my appointment. The person would not listen to me and kept on saying, "we are not talking walk-in." She wouldn't listen to me trying to tell her that I had the appointment and was checked in already. She yelled at me and said, "Don't YELl." I want yelling, I was frustrated. She then proceeded by telling me that she didn't see my name on her system and would not take me in, even after I showed her my text from Quest, and it said that I checked in. I had to leave and reschedule another appointment somewhere else. Don't ever go to this place. Worst service ever. read more

I faint almost every time I get blood work, or any medical procedures at all, so I went in and warned the woman that I may faint and she screamed at me and said "you're wasting my time if you faint. I'm not going to let you waste my time. Go to another quest I don't want to take you" and I said "I have an appointment and need to do my blood work today. I made this appointment months in advance. You can't tell me to go to another quest" and she continued to scream at me and tell me to go to another quest. Finally she let me in the room and when she did and I was alone, she screamed at me again. She was extremely rude and had no regard for her patients. I signed in before 10 and the system said it would be a 51 minute wait- waited until 11:30 when a RUDE miserable woman- named DD yelled at all of us waiting to leave-"get out" was what she rudely snipped at the last 3 of us waiting. She said lab closed at 11- and there are no walk in appointments. However there is no sign to indicate that and the computer system allowed us to sign in and gave a wait time. Chances are people waiting in a lab in a Saturday have some medical conditions and being treated like garbage is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I should've checked Yelp first apparently. I checked the website before driving over. It said approx 8 min wait for walk-ins. I used the tablet to sign it and sat down. My name appeared on the apptmt screen. Then it was taken down along with 2 other names. A nurse advised that if our name came down they would be out to get us shortly. I waited patiently only to be told 40 minutes later that they're not taking walkins and that she came out to tell me that but I must've been outside. That was a lie; I checked in and was sitting in the lobby the whole time. If you're not going to have a staff member come out to monitor it's not that difficult to program the tablet to advise it's "appointments only". Won't be back to this location. read more

It's never pleasant to wake up early and head to Quest. On every occasion, someone is shouting in the waiting room and insisting they have an appointment which turns out to be wrong. I don't blame the staff for having an attitude. To make your visit as smooth as possible, set an appointment! The reason I am giving 4stars? They updated their check-in system to a digital one that shows where you are in line. It sure beats the older process to checking in and is a lot more organized. I can't give 5 stars though because the waiting room needs a fashion update so that I don't feel like I'm stuck in a mental institution. Add some artwork and furniture :-) read more

So I had to get a test run. You know draw a little blood and get the results. I went on the website and scheduled an appointment. I even downloaded the app so I could get the results directly. So I went to the office in Boca Raton. I arrived early, scanned my reservation code. It said I had a wait time 19 minutes. No problem I arrived early. Now mind you there were a couple dozen people in the waiting room and no one at the desk. So sat back I was reading an article on my phone and looked up to see my wait time doubled! So I waited a little longer and saw that my wait time had again increased. Now there is no one to find out any information. So I and about 8 other people just left. I realize the delivery of medical services in South Florida is awful but Quest Diagnostics to a whole new level. read more

In these times of Coronavirus, I expected something other than business as usual. No temperature check, no questions asked about my health. No cleaning protocol in the lab rooms. I cleaned the chair myself. Patients stood in the waiting room which impinged on 6 foot distancing. This is a medical facility that ignored guidelines. Other than wearing masks and chairs missing from the waiting area, this facility made no effort to assure patient safety. Last week my husband was at another Quest location. His experience was the opposite of mine. Temperature check, health survey, and appropriate cleaning protocol. I will never use the State Road 7 location again. I was a walk in yesterday. I was expecting to wait. I am disabled and need to arrange transportation for me and my service dog. Originally, they told me they were not taking walk ins. Once I explained my situation, they said if I wait, they would try to squeeze me in. Normally I would have made an appointment. I wish I could give them negative stars because THEY SUCK. We went to get my son's 1 year old blood draw. My son is a wiggle worm and i called ahead of time and they told us both parents could come back. So we get there, things are going well. We start heading back and we are blocked and told that only 1 parent can go back. My husband has the stern voice, but I have the mommy love and tricks to calm him. They refuse to budge, I almost lost my temper but my husband decided to go back and told me to chill. So he is back there and of course my son is wiggling like crazy. They lose the vein 2 or 3 times and have to stick him numerous times. My husband is trying to sing the ABC's to calm him down and all i can hear upfront is my screaming child.
