Oh, I got the PREMIUM package. - Old Korean man next to me coughing like he auditioning for a zombie movie. I'm sitting there like, "Sir... is this airborne? Blink twice if I need to leave." - Grandma on speakerphone having a FULL family reunion. I know all her grandkids now. I'm basically invited to Thanksgiving. - Then we got Face Tattoo Lady with the ankle monitor watching loud videos like it's a movie theater. No headphones. Just chaos. Just straight chaos. Had an appointment and arrived about 10 minutes before. There isn't a reception desk, only a kiosk to check in. There were a lot of people in the waiting room but only 3 or so were on the screen for appointments. As I waited a few people checked in after their appointment time, as late as 15 minutes, and were still seen. My appointment was at 4:30 and I was called at 4:33. Just before that an employee came out to say they would only see 2 walk ins, however, while in back I noticed they hadn't called anyone else besides another appointment. I got my appointment the day before, so if possible make an appointment to guarantee being seen. Nice and friendly staff. I did end up paying $5 for parking since I was in back for awhile before being seen. Parking $1.75 per 15 minutes at the time of this review and Quest only validates for 15 minutes. read more

I waited an hour and a half to get a walk-in service, and they told me they were closing and I couldn't be seen after 12 even though they closed at 12:30. Incredibly inconsiderate- it would be different if there were any available appointments within two weeks at any location nearby but there aren't. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance. When I arrived, there was a notice on the parking lot stating that the office was closed for the day. As a result, I fasted and prepared for the blood test for no reason, missed work, and no one even bothered to call or notify me that they would be closed. Not only is parking very high (they say 15 free min but that is how long it takes to park and get into the elevator up to the lobby) I went on Saturday and the lobby was full full, thankfully I had an appt but the lab tech tried twice to access the vein and couldn't so she said sorry you'll Have to come back another day I can't go in a third time!! I thought this is your job all day how can you not access a vein and if you need to have heat on it to make it better by isn't that being done? Really bad and insanely frustrating. Was physically and verbally assaulted by a phlebotomist who refused to give me her name. They did have the proper medical supplies and when I asked, "No butterfly needles?" She refused my service after waiting for over 90 minutes. She attacked me and called be a fucking dumb bitch in front of my 9 year old child. I recently visited Quest Diagnostics for lab work and had an excellent experience thanks to Daisy and Lelia. I'm usually a very difficult stick due to significant scar tissue and having very few usable veins, which often makes blood draws stressful for me. I also had a large number of labs ordered--around 15 tubes--which can be challenging even under the best circumstances. Daisy was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, patient, and clearly very skilled. She was able to successfully access a vein with a single poke and draw several tubes. Unfortunately, my vein stopped flowing before all of the tubes could be completed, which is something that happens often for me. Daisy then tried another vein but wasn't able to get it, and she handled the situation calmly and professionally by asking Lelia to assist. Lelia came over and was able to complete the remaining tubes on my other arm with just one poke. Both Daisy and Lelia were compassionate, professional, and made a potentially stressful experience much more comfortable. I truly appreciate their expertise and teamwork and am very grateful for the care I received. I would absolutely recommend this location, especially for anyone who is a hard stick. read more

You set an appointment & if you're off by a second past the 10 minute late grace period- you're subject to a typical walk in process that leaves you waiting over 1-2 hours to be seen. Perfect experience here and I'll definitely come back to this location if I need bloodwork. I've been to a couple Quests before around LA and this is my favorite so far. Underground parking lot is under $2 with validation. I had a 1pm Appointment and was taken in immediately. I filled things out online before I came in, so they already knew all my info, the doctor, had the order - it was so well synced. Which brings me to the only small issue I had. Their system is nicely automated with reminder texts but something messed up with it for my initial appointment. It let me make an appointment on MLK Jr Day but that morning cancelled saying the office was closed. I was able to reschedule to the next day without issue, but still kinda annnoying it didn't register the closure earlier. Was very skeptical regarding this location due to the reviews. I had a 4pm appt, checked in on the kiosk around 3:55pm and my name was called in less than 90 seconds!!!! Daisy, the phlebotomist took about 5 min doing my intake and verifying my insurance. She poked me and got the vein on the first try, completely painless, and excellent IV skills, trust me, I'm a nurse lol. Process was fast and Daisy was friendly and kind. Okay, this location seems to have a ton of bad reviews, but my experience was great. I think the problems arise for those that don't have an appointment. It's a small staff, so standbys can wait hours, and that, according to the security person, has caused very bad behavior from people desperately wanting/needing to be seen as walk ins. Clearly, the multiple bad reviews mean nothing to this business, but I'm still going to proceed writing one because of how frustrated and upset that I am. I had to do a 24 hour urine collection sample. I had an appointment that took me weeks and weeks to get just to get the jugs. I went to quest this morning to drop off the samples. I got there about 10 minutes before the opened, because they open at 8 and I start work at 8:30. There were 8 people ahead of me lined up outside the doors. When the doors opened I was told even though I'm only dropping off a sample I need to sign up on the stand by list and wait for an appointment as if they were drawing my blood. Then, they only had one kiosk for people to check in so I didn't get to check in until 8:13am. After sitting for 10 minutes I couldn't wait anymore, I had to go to work. They need a better system for drop offs. Based on how things were going it would have taken me an hour or more to be seen. I shouldnt have to sit there holding 6000mL of my refrigerated urine just to drop it off. They need a better system. Be warned, if you have to drop off a sample it won't be quick! Horrible experience, completely unprofessional I arrived for my scheduled appointment within the 10-minute grace period but couldn't check in because an elderly woman ahead of me was struggling with their check-in system. Instead of helping her efficiently or acknowledging that I had arrived on time, the staff marked me as "late." They then put me on a waiting list, made me sit for over an hour, and still refused to see me all because of a technicality that wasn't even my fault. I had already completed part of my bloodwork a day earlier, but needed to return for a specific test that had to be done before 9:00 am. Here's where it gets frustrating: there were no online appointments available for weeks, so I decided to do a walk-in and arrived at 8:00 am, well before the cutoff time. Despite this, they refused to accommodate me. Their lack of customer service is shocking--there's no front desk to help you, and no one answers phone calls. You're completely left on your own. It's the worst place to go if you need even a little extra assistance. And yet, despite their abysmal 2.0 rating, they continue to operate without addressing these glaring issues because they're still making money. Zero stars across the board- do not go in as a standby you'll wait at least 2-4 hours minimum. I came in 5 months pregnant, after fasting for 12 hours. I checked in as a walk-in because both my doctor and the Quest automated message recommended this. It said I was 5th in line, and it could take 30-1hr to be seen. Sounds fine I thought. Even though I was already nauseous and starving, I decided to wait it out. 90 minutes later they hadn't taken a single walk in!!! What a joke! This was obviously a LIE. When I confronted the staff about the lie, they said well the company tells them not to turn away anyone. I'm appalled. You need to tell people that it's going to take hours and is not guaranteed!!! Disgusting business practice from greedy corporation. They don't take a single walk-in between appointments and this location had 12 appointments booked every 30 minutes. Generally speaking, Quest locations are a 4-5 star if you have an appointment and a 1-2 star if you attempt to walk in. I used to go to the Quest that was at Robertson and Wilshire just a few blocks to the west, but it closed down recently so now I go here. This location is actually nicer and better laid out than the Robertson/Wilshire one. The office waiting area and the blood draw area is larger and better lit. There is parking in the building (enter/exit on Le Doux north of Wilshire) and there are meters on Le Doux, Wilshire, and La Cienega. If you park a few blocks to the west off Clifton you can get free parking. Now, Quest is a breeze if you have an appointment. Since so many Quest locations have closed getting an appointment is tough. You may need to scheudle 1-3 weeks in advance depending how flexible you are. If you do have an appointment it's really simple. Just be sure you arrive at least 15 minuts early because they can give up your appointment if you're late. You go to the little scanner, input your appointment confirmation, scan your ID, and your name will appear on the TV and they'll call you quickly. If you walk in, well, you might be waiting for hours. Whenever I go to Quest there's a bunch of disgruntled walk ins moaning, complaining, and harassing the poor staff. I feel for the people whose primary or specialty care doesn't do their own blood draws and forces them to use Quest. That's a nightmare. I only go to Quest for my own self-pay, self-procured blood draws, so appointments are easy. I would give it 1 star if it was where my primary care sent me. Anyway, the system works if you have an appointment. If you don't, get there early and block off at least half your day. read more

I went as a stand by because I just got my orders from doctor today and I will have to wait another month if I can't get it done in the next two days. Not a single quest in a 20 mile radius is taking appointments in time, soonest was in another week. So I was 4th on stand-by list. In an hour of waiting two stand bys went in and out, and though I continued to wait, new people came in and they were put ahead of me on the stand by-list. Ofc, there is no one even there to inform the mistake. Another woman on standby had waited for two hours. People can't always wait the weeks quest forces you to do to make an appointment. This system is disgustingly and harmful to patients. Later today, I went to a second Quest where I was first on stand by. 6 patients were being served at a time when I arrived. 35 minutes later, 5 mins before closing, when all appointment patients had been served, I was THEN informed by staff "the system" was closed and I couldn't be seen. I was a first time patient and very nervous about the level of care I would receive given the reviews of this office, but found my experience nothing like it! The first time I visited was to drop off a sample, and was seen as a stand-by within 40 minutes. The phlebotomist who helped me was very nice. She took my sample, drew my blood, and then informed me she would be sending me home with two more sample cups, as my doctors office hadn't given me the proper amount for the tests they had ordered. My second time coming back as a stand-by to drop those samples off was even faster, and I only waited for around 25 minutes before I was seen. I've been to countless Quest locations, and this one is incredibly mean about appointments, and they move wayyy slower on top of that. 1) They encourage appointments yet they don't mean much. 2) They might "have every time slot available" until 5 pm close, but if you walk in 4:01 they will NOT see you! So why not say you close at 4?! 3) if you show up even 1 min late for your appointment, which it looks most people do because of how hard it is to find them, your appointment no longer works and you become a walk-in with NO number. So be sure to talk to front desk asap. 4) whether you got a number or not, they might argue with you about it and say you never did, or that you must have been late. We watched them argue with 3 people in a row. It's not even that busy... 4) the kiosk to check in doesn't seem to work. So even if you are on time it might not check you in at all.... If you still want to come here, make an appointment, park BEHIND the building in the back underground garage, and go up the elevator to 3rd floor. Quest Diagnostics continues to impress. My visit to this location today was smooth and efficient--my appointment started on time, and the technician did an excellent job with the blood draw. What more can you ask for? Some reviews knock Quest for not having a receptionist, but let's be real--this isn't a doctor's office. It's more like Valvoline or In-N-Out: they focus on doing one thing, and they do it very well. I have an account and get monthly labs done. You choose a time slot, arrive about 10 minutes early, check in via text, and then wait for your name to appear on the screen--kind of like the DMV, but better. I've used several locations across LA, plus one in Berkeley and another in NYC while traveling. The experience has been consistent across the board. Awful experience. We had an appointment at 11:50 on a Saturday and we have been waiting almost two hours now. The first phlebotomist was rude and didn't apologize for wait so r say hello, nothing. My 12 year old daughter is a hard stick and this is a lab but they have NO BUTTERFLY NEEDLES!!! This would make it way easier and less painful to draw her blood. Why??? Unbelievable. The first phlebotomist couldn't get blood from her so we're waiting for another one (seemingly more skilled) to try. I will avoid this location at all costs next time! I'm not the best with getting my blood drawn so I wanted a 10/10 spot but my doctor wrote my form for quest, and this was the closest location. (I feel like all the reviews and stats for quest is low). This was actually the best experience I've had getting blood drawn. Just call quest, schedule appointment. ONLINE, was way more difficult, highly recommend just calling and setting up that way. Nina was the sweet woman who helped me, made it so smooth, was very kind.
