Everything was fine at Quest! I arrived early, appointment was scheduled for 8am, and I was called in at 7:45. The waiting area had a place to log in or scan your paper work. No need for a receptionist. Waiting room was fine, nothing fancy but clean. Lobotomist lady was super nice and friendly. I had 13 different tests done and I started to receive some of the results in less than 24 hours. Still waiting for 4 more tests which I am sure will arrive shortly. The room I was admitted in was clean as well and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. The website is easy to navigate, just read and follow the instructions. I found out about Quest via Fullscript after my nutritionist requested the 13 different blood work needed I was scheduled to go to a different quest lab but received an email a few days prior to my appointment to let me know that particular location was closed, and I needed to go to 2 Doctors place in Asheville. I could not reach Quest but contacted Fullscript and they helped me reschedule for the same day and time at the other location. read more

pathetic customer service. I drove 40 miles 1 way for a wellness blood test. I got in the quest and asked if i could use the restroom, the phlebotomist said immediatly NO...i was like WTF ? She said people try to scam her on the drug tests and i'm like " IM NOT DOING A DRUG TEST".... she proceeded to hand me a cup to pee in .... I refused and threw it away. I have been using quest for 10 years but will NEVER go back to them again read more

Their hours are extremely inconvenient. Only open on weekdays during work hours. Secondly, they somehow lost my doctor's order for the lab work. I called my doctor, and she sent me another one, but they said it could only be faxed. After that, my appointment had passed and I had to wait all over again, but I couldn't because I needed to get to work. So I didn't even get my lab work done due to the sheer incompetence of the employees at Quest. read more

It was effortless to schedule an appointment (automated system on phone) and very easy to check in (clicked a link in a text.) A breeze! I did wait a little bit once I arrived (not sure how long) but once in the back and getting my tests it was very quick and efficient. Brenda is very intelligent and kind, and did one of the best blood draws I have received. She has been doing this a while! I didn't even feel faint afterwards, which is a first in probably my whole adult life after having blood drawn! Thank you Quest Diagnostics. Not sure why you have so many negative reviews! read more

I had a great experience at Quest! I was a walk-in, and had no idea that appointments were preferred (necessary!). When they found out I had fasted, they went out of their way to squeeze me in 40 minutes after my arrival. (The first actual open slot was 2 hours later). I got my bloodwork results back within 24 hours, easy peasy. The woman working with me was super duper friendly (especially knowing I had complicated everyone's morning without an appointment). The waiting room is a little on the shabby/worn side, but things seemed clean and organized in the back rooms. I would recommend!.....just make an appointment! Don't just walk-in. I was waiting for hours on the standby list, and I was the only one for a long time. A guy came in and got put on the standby list hours after me, and he was called before me. The nurse came out to see if I had an appointment because he noticed I've been here for a while. I told him I was on the standby list, but no one ever called me. But Ryan got picked off the list right away. I don't like to play the race card, but come on, man. I'm still waiting smh. read more

This is the DMV of phlebotomy labs. Good luck EVER interacting with a human, whether on the phone or in the waiting room. Walk ins can expect to wait 4+ hours. I saw an elderly couple who were four minutes late for their 9:45 appointment and were still waiting at 11:30. The kiosk is ridiculous and they only see a single "customer" at a time. I came here for a pre-employment drug screen as requested by my employer. In my line of work, I do these types of tests quite frequently throughout the year and, as far as I can recall, this is the first time I have done one of these tests at a Quest lab center. I have not read any of the any of the other reviews but I noted when I checked in, it was a one star rating. I had a great experience here, as good as one can have for this type of visit. It was a little bit hard to find at first, as different GPS applications were listing the building in different areas. It is not on the perimeter of the doctors park, but in the middle. It is right behind/"upstairs" from the biscuit place. I did make an appointment before I came, although online it said walk-ins are only five minutes. From my experience, I know these places can get kind of busy, so I always make an appointment as it is the safe bet to make sure I don't get stuck waiting all day. When I walked in, there was nobody in the waiting area, and only one person at the window. I checked in using the online kiosk, and had a seat. It was only about a minute or two before I was called back. Brandy was my lab technician and she was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and professional. It only took about five minutes to complete my collection and sign my paperwork. Really can't ask for much more for this type of experience at this type of business. Only once in about ten times that I've had blood draws at the Quest in Asheville have I had a pleasant interaction with the phlebotomist. The one I usually get, young and perpetually frowning, is rude and dismissive. She seems to dislike her job, so I wonder why she's there. One day I was sitting in the waiting room for quite awhile, and when she appeared to call someone else back (who showed up after I did), I said I'd been waiting. She said, "our computer showed you were late so we won't be seeing you today." I objected saying I signed in at the scheduled appointment time, and maybe there was a problem in communication between the computer and the sign in station. So she took me back after she drew blood from the patient who showed up after me and proceeded to scold me for being "late", and I explained again that I was not late. She then got visibly angry, cutting me off, telling me, "I can not draw your blood at all today and make you leave the property!" The worst part is that I reported this to customer service, I missed the Regional Manager's call, called her back the next day, and she has not returned my phone call. This was a month ago. They obviously do not care about customer service. It's unfortunate because my insurance will only cover Quest Diagnostics, and this location is the only Quest in the Asheville area. read more

Hopefully this reaches someone...This is not a review for customer service with Quest Diagnostics. I'm reaching out via Yelp since there was no option to speak with a representative when I called. I spotted a white Nissan Rouge with the Quest Diagnostics logo, numbered 80774 headed northbound on 1-26 who was displaying unsafe driving. The driver had drifted into the opposite lane to the right and crossed the yellow line multiple times. Unsure if the driver was distracted by texting, eating or was drowsy. I was attended by Leslie who was very professional, a good phlebotomist and resolved precisely few questions I asked her related to medical services in Asheville, since I am new in the area. I had an amazing experiance here! Leslie was super helpful when I forgot to bring in the paperwork from my doctor. I have never been able to get blood drawn without getting dizzy and nausous, but Leslie made it so quick & easy! She was able to take 7 TUBES of blood within minutes, keeping me calm and distracted. My experience today with a pre-employment drug screen at this location went as follows: 10/17/2018 I received an email from Solstas/Quest telling me my employer requests a drug screen before starting work. I had until the 22nd to go into this location and pee for them. This allowed me 3 business days. 10/22/2018 (8:30AM) I called Solstas/Quest to check drug screening times as the email instructed. A phone recording told me I could come in for drug screening any time between 8:30AM-4:00PM without an appointment. (9:08AM) I arrived at Solstas/Quest. There is not a receptionist, but rather an electronic tablet on which I entered my information and was told to sit and wait to be called. (9:30AM) A woman (not Leslie) called me back and asked why I was there today. I told her I needed a pre-employment drug screen. She sat me in a room that looks like the place they take your blood. She verified my information on her computer and pulled up my employers information to see which test was needed. She then had me follow her to a special bathroom. This bathroom has no soap, papertowels, or trash can. Outside of the bathroom she instructed me to lock my belongings (cellphone, keys, and wallet) into a locker right outside the bathroom. She put on gloves. She asked me to rinse my hands with regular water. She opened a box with a ton of sealed drug testing kits. She asked me to pick one and open it. I did so. It was the ICup 5 Panel Drug Screen. She walked me into the special bathroom. She instructed me to pee in the cup above the temperature indicator. She told me not to flush the toilet but I was allowed to use toilet paper. She dropped a bright blue color changing tablet into the toilet and told me to bring the cup to her when I was finished. She closed and locked the door for me while she stood outside. I peed and handed her the cup. She then gave me soap from outside the bathroom to wash my hands with. She then had me come back to the "blood taking" computer room where I sat for a few more minutes. She had me sign and initial my specimen and told me that I will get a call today with my results. To comment on some other reviews I have seen here: - I was surprised to see that Leslie was still employed here, she took several other patients back to their tests. But she was not the woman who took care of me today. -The woman who performed my drug screen was kind and helpful but very straightforward and no-nonsense. She sort of reminded me of a police officer. No complaints about her at all. -There is no receptionist. Your only option for signing in is through the electronic tablet. I found that to be a bit impersonal. -When you call for results, you are forced to go online to find them. I was unable to get my results online and unable to speak with a human when calling. I am unable to get my results without driving back to the location. Very inconvenient. read more

My appointment for a biometric screening time was 08:00. At 07:55 a woman opened the office and I tried to walk in and she said the office did not open until 08:30. I told her I had an appointment at 08:00 with Christine who texted me the night before to confirm my appointment at 08:00. She said Christine did not work there. At 08:05 Christine came into the waiting room and took me back and drew my blood. Three weeks later I still do not have results and the system can not find me. One star is over generous. read more

Find somewhere else to go. Leslie, a member of the staff, is incompetent and extremely rude. It's worth it to drive the extra distance to a different area with better quality care. I was in the area on vacation and had to get blood work done on a specific day in order for my doctor to find out my hormone levels. This is the only Quest in the area so I drove 45 minutes to get there and the first thing the woman at the counter said to me was, "This says 'STAT' on it. What does that mean?" Really? I have to explain to a medical professional what STAT means? I explained to her that my doctor needs the results today and she snapped back, "We can't do that. We have to send the blood out and won't have the results back for 3-4 days." So that was pointless since I'd be back in Orlando by then where the Quest I usually go to will be able to get results back to my doctor before this place can. I also had the glass closed on me at one point without any explanation, I guess while she was checking on how fast they could get the results ... so rude and unwilling to offer any help. I feel sorry for people whose only option is to use this place. read more
