I have been here many times, the last time I was here a year ago it was a horrible experience, in fact that's why it took over a year for me to return. The receptionist was not very accommodating she was trying to process a patient on the computer and couldn't do anything else at that time I keep telling her I had a time sensitive lab to be done she kept telling me I had to wait, not to mention she had given me that appointment the day prior in person, I had asked specifically to come to this center since I live a block away! Well goes to find out she had given me an appointment across town !! Now I was super late not to mention missed my time sensitive time lab !! I was furious to say the least. I managed to get the courage to return, this lady was not here The front desk was empty 2 of us in the waiting room, again I was trying to advise someone of my time sensitive appointment, when a nice smiling face appeared at the door calling my name " Linda" the phlebotomist was really nice and efficient. She's The only reason they are getting a 4 stars !! read more

Quest Diagnostics - Waiting area 8:00 am - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Apple Valley, California

I really wish I could give this location Zero stars. The attitudes of the staff are completely uncalled for. I walked in today to drop off a specimen for my wife and as soon as I walked in the door I could hear one of the young ladies giving attitude to a patron there for some blood work. Apparently the office didn't receive orders for the lab work and the staff member was berating the patron about her doctor not putting in the order. When the patron asked, "Can we call the doctors office to figure this out," the staff member told her, "You can go outside and call your doctor yourself." Totally horrible attitude. Once the staff member came back to the front counter there was an elderly woman who needed assistance signing into the kiosk and asked for help. The staff member came out into the waiting room and helped the elderly woman but was shaking her head and rolling her eyes and was just overall unprofessional. Once the staff member was done with her she asked me what I needed. I informed her I was dropping off a specimen for my wife, problem was she didn't let me finish what I was saying, immediately telling me, "You need to sign in!" Fine, but when I proceeded to ask "Do I sign in with my wife's information or my own" she cut me off yet again. In a moment of frustration I tried to deescalate the situation. I raised my hands and asked her politely, "Can we calm down? I don't appreciate the attitude." The staff member then tells me, "I don't have an attitude, you have an attitude!" I asked to please stop, I just had a couple of questions and before I could even finish saying that she grabs the specimen out of my hands and says, "whatever I'll just take this, you can go ahead and leave now." All the other folks there in the office waiting to be serviced looked completely shocked, as they should be. I am disabled, I have PTSD. I don't do well with people talking to me in this manner. It is completely uncalled for. I'm glad I didn't freak out in that office because sometimes my PTSD will take me there. This isn't how you're supposed to treat anyone, let alone someone disabled. Obviously folks here need to be retrained in customer service and refreshed on the Americans With Disabilities Act. I called corporate and filed a formal complaint. I honestly would have let this go if the young lady would have just apologized for her behavior but she didn't. Do not go here, there are so many other Quest locations with superior customer service to this location. read more

Customer service is horrible. I witnessed 3 senior citizens just asking for help turned away by the desk. "Go online" Saying if you don't like it call corporate. These are good people just attempting to ask for help on their appointments for medical reasons. This is one of those times when the Barstow Branch beats the heck out of the other High Desert providers. First, it was a breeze to get a next day appointment. Upon arrival, I checked in, safely, via app, while waiting in my car. Within minutes I received the text to enter. Just a quick confirmation of paperwork and my blood was being drawn. The first poke was successful ( which is a big deal)! From arrival to departure was 10 minutes. Based upon previous experience in Apple Valley, I allotted 45 minutes. I am totally impressed by the site efficiency and by the personnel. I cannot fault them for the parking lot drama-- even the non impoverished neighborhoods in SoCal are beset with vagrants and meth heads. read more

Worst experience ever! The tech Sharon is extremely rude for no apparent reason. She talks down to you in a very condescending tone and has an arrogant demeanor. I showed up to my 7:45 appointment and apparently they did not receive my test order via Fax. I asked Valerie the other technician what I should do and with a rude tone she rolled her eyes and said "We are booked all day so we will see" I got ahold of the medical records office from my Doctor on the phone and she told me they faxed over my test orders on 1/11 twice and that it went through. Sharon never apologized and immediately got defensive and said in a rude tone "well we don't have anything," and questioned her capabilities on properly sending a fax. The medical records lady Alondra asked to speak with Sharon directly. Sharon was rude to her as well and had a condescending tone with her too. Clearly there was miscommunication between the offices and it was no one's fault nor was anyone blaming quest but Sharon's attitude made me feel as it was my fault and I was just a nuisance to the office. I was polite the entire time and was very understanding of the situation but Sharon thought otherwise. I did try to convey the way she speaks to people is not okay but instead attacked me and said I was the rude one and kicked me out of their office. I cannot believe quest diagnostics has people like her working with patients. I am student doctor and I have NEVER treated people as Sharon has. Patients deserve better services and should not come to this location at all! Nor should fellow peers refer to this office. read more

I was a walk-in . I have been here an hour and no one has even greeted me. I have to get my Labwork done today my only day off. It's impossible to make appointments on line. And They are are so pushed back. There is only one person here. Where is your staff? I'm going to request my doctor to use another lab facility. Absolutely unacceptable. I also wish I could give you a zero rating. I need to get some lab tests done, but can't make an appointment. I tried three times on line, and couldn't get it done in a way that the computer could understand. I kept trying until the computer just quit on me. After trying two more times with the same results, I tried to do it on the phone, and got the same results. I wish I could go to another Lab. My dr.s appointment is in 5 days. I guess I'll just have to tell him I can't get the labs done due to Quest's impossible appointment machine. I realize I'm old, and not the best computer or devise operator, but quest should have at least a person who can help the computer illiterate make an appointment. Or better yet, quest should not contract with medical groups who accept patients over 60 years old. read more

Per my wife's doctor's recommendation, we made an appointment online at Quest for a routine blood draw. We arrived on time at 12:15 pm to find the door to the waiting room closed and locked, with a sign posted that read, "Stop! Wait to be escorted inside." I knocked three times on the door. No response. A sign taped in the window to the right of the door read, "Please do not knock on the window." I waited 5 minutes, no response, and no one went in or came out. I could hear voices inside. I knocked three times again. No response, again. Still hearing voices talking to each other inside. I wait another 5 minutes with no response. I knocked 6 times on the door this time. No response, again. Still hearing voices talking to each other inside. I wait another 5 minutes and knock 6 times again. It is now just after 12:30 pm, and I've been knocking on the door for over 15 minutes with not even the courtesy of a response of any kind. At 12:34 pm I decided to tap lightly on the window with my key, and an employee dressed in scrubs wearing a face mask and shield opens the door within 10 seconds and rudely says, "Please don't knock on the window!" Not, "Sorry you've been waiting so long," or "Can I help you?" or "Do you have an appointment?" Zero customer service of any recognizable fashion. She then lets an elderly woman out and closes the door in our face. We wait another few minutes staring at a door until another employee (dressed similarly as the last in protective gear) opens the door looking past us and yells another person's name. At this point, we've been waiting outside since just before 12:15 pm and it is nearly 12:40 pm. We ask about our appointment and provide the name under which the appointment was scheduled online days earlier (for which we have a Quest Diagnostics confirmation email with a QR code for kiosk check in and a confirmation code), and she says, "Nope! No appointment under that name! Next!" (Looking past us as if she has already dismissed our existence). I notify her that we have a 12:15 pm appointment at this exact location with a confirmation, and she looks it up and finds it in 2 seconds. I also notify her that we've been waiting and knocking outside with no response for nearly 25 minutes , and she looks at my wife and says, "He can't come in with you!" My wife explains that I am the one who will be paying, and she says, "Can't he just give you his card," with a look of condescension on her face and an abrupt and annoyed tone in her voice. At that point we had had enough, so we told her that we would find somewhere else to have this routine blood draw done. She seemed happy that we wanted to leave and said in a very rude and dismissive manner, "Okay then, bye," and closed the door. I strongly recommend that any doctors reading this stop recommending Quest Diagnostics for their patients, as this unprofessional and poor treatment is what they can expect from this location. Any individuals out there considering a lab for a blood test, look elsewhere. You'll be glad you did. We went to another lab down the street and found that they treated everyone like a person and did a great job. You can definitely do better than Quest. read more

I have issues when someone treats me as a lesser being. The receptionist at this Quest was rude and arrogant. I have always walked on eggshells around her because I've seen her be mean to other folks when I'm there. I guess my turn came up. I had an appointment and was a couple of minutes early. I sent the requested text upon arrival. It said I could wait in my car or the waiting room. I chose to be warm in the waiting room. I knocked on the door and was told, in a very disgusted voice, I was the wrong person and I was too early, 5:58 for a 6:00 appointment. She let me in but another patient walked right in behind me, was treated immediately, while I had to wait. I pointed out with the text, that I was told by the text to come in and this, person, ignored me. The other technician, Ashley, was terrific. She will be the reason I return, if I do. read more

The lady with the died burgundy hair very rude because I did not have a mask. I asked her if she had one. She had a bad attitude telling me I should bring my own.It's not like I buy them for doctors appointments when you provide them. VERY rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional at the Corwin rd office! I wouldn't give any stars, but that's unfortunately not an option.

They were fast and efficient without causing too much pain. I'm a baby when it comes to needles. If you have all your information ready, it goes at a fairly good pace even if you didn't make an appointment. And if you do make an appointment online at home then your check in is faster because all you have to do is enter your confirmation code. The internet challenged have a little harder time. If you call and make an appointment on the phone menu then you might still have to enter more info on the check in tablet. I had to help a octogenarian with that who was in front of me because the line was getting longer and longer. I like this location because it is closer to my house, and the ladies are very helpful. Especially when you are supposed to give them a specimen and they alert you to the fact that your doctor gave you the wrong test to turn in...Such is life. I like this office. read more

Slllloooooow. Even with only two or three people there, expect to wait thirty minutes plus. That's because one lady checks you in, takes the blood, catalogs the blood, everything. Hire a full staff (like two or three people, total!) and you can process people three times as quickly. ALSO they have wacky hours, only open til three! WITH a lunch break! (That's because only one person is there at a time! It's b.s.!) The lady there was pleasant enough to me - but she was just barely on this side of rude when talking to some of the other patients. Especially if you come in right before closing. (A.k.a. two fifty. A.k.a. a few hours before most people are even off work. How is someone supposed to get there by three if they work SEVEN TO THREE? like me?) read more

There was 2 people ahead of me, had appointment, still waited 20 minutes to be signed in. Then another 10 to go back. There is no privacy either. Face to face WITH OUT A CU R AIN.. Took my daughter for blood work, and the front desk receptionist was rude and ill mannered. We were the only 2 people in there at the time, and after signing in, she didn't acknowledge us at all. When asking for paperwork and ins. card she was very rude. Kind of reminded me of Roz from Monsters Inc! An older black gentleman came in and we saw the same treatment. Perhaps we were not the right color. Shortly after an elderly white couple came in and she greeted them kindly. Needless to say, we won't be coming to this location any longer. read more

I came to this location and I'm glad I did... I wasn't for all the bad reviews but didn't know where else to go. Maybe they have new staff because it was great. I had Nancy she was amazing. she does her job very well with no pain. It was busy and she still was very nice to everyone while she ran around. I will go only if she's there. read more

My first time at this location. First I had a horrible time finding the building. No signs no directions. Had to ask two different people how to find their office. Went in it was not busy. Myself and one gentleman only. A woman greeted us she was very friendly and she took the gentleman. Then this other lady with the dreadlocks called my name and I instantly felt she did not like me or like being there. Not friendly no smile no greeting. Much to my dismay she did my bloodwork. She had the same attitude with me. She stuck me with the needle on the side of my arm instead of the inside. Main complaint I have a massive bruise but mostly I have a huge swollen lump and my arm is very sore and I fear infection. I have had a lot of bloodwork in the last two years have never been left with a huge swollen lump. I will make a complaint about their services and the fact I may have to go to my dr if this doesn't go away. I do not recommend this facility!!! read more
