I've been to this location before with no issues, but today's visit was incredibly frustrating. Due to a mistake on my end, my order was under the wrong name. Instead of helping me in-house, the staff sent me on a helpline loop that took an hour and three separate calls to resolve. During this time, they actually canceled my appointment because I wasn't in the lab room, despite just following their instructions. Most disappointingly, once the issue was finally resolved, the phlebotomist gave me a detailed lecture about how I was wrong instead of just moving forward with the blood draw. I appreciate my past positive experiences here, but today's broken support system and unprofessional lecturing were unacceptable. read more

My first experience with Quest Diagnostics in Alpharetta was negative. I showed up on a Tuesday afternoon to simply obtain a quote for how much it would cost to complete my lab work. There was a sea of people waiting inside, and one of the employees told me that they couldn't give me pricing without an actual appointment. The current wait time was 45 minutes, so I decided to come back another time. When I returned on Wednesday, I had a positive experience. There were only 2 people waiting in the lobby. I had made an appointment and checked in upon arrival. The screen told me that I would have a 23 minute wait. The Phlebotomist called me back 13 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Once I was in back, the Phlebotomist was courteous and professional. She gave me a price quote and completed all of my lab work. Their pricing was quite favorable compared to having the same tests done through a WellStar facility. The entire process took around 20 minutes. The next time I need lab work done, I'll definitely return to Quest Diagnostics in Alpharetta. read more

Not to diminish anybody else's bad experiences (for which there seems to have been many, and thus, the lower over rating), but I received some of the best service I've received at ANY business, which says a lot these days. I arrived at 7.40 a.m. for a 7.50 a.m. "fasting labs" (this is where you can't have any food/drinks for 8-12 hours before your blood is collected for analysis). For an early-bird and coffee addict like me, this is never pleasant, not to mention the disruption to my work day. My appointment started on time, but as soon as I was taken into the room to do the collection, the technician said he did not have the proper documentation from my doctor...which I had presumed would have been sent electronically from my doctor. Without it, he could not do the work. Frustrating indeed, especially since I knew I wouldn't be able to call my doctor for at least another 10 minutes when they opened at 8 a.m., and the tech had other people he needed to see. My experience with customer care in these situations and in these days--and especially in Atlanta--is that you'd be told "too bad, if you can get your documents, maybe we'll see you at some point today." Instead, my tech was SUPER patient and understanding. He told me to go to the lobby, and once I was able to get my doctor to email the documents, all I had to do was knock on his door and he'd see me as soon as he finished with his current patient. By 8.10 a.m., I was back in his room where he did a FANTASTIC job with my collection. In fact, the reason I was at Quest was because I've had some difficulties with the inexperienced nurses at my doctor's office that--despite my supposed "great veins"--sometimes can't get blood, even after multiple "sticks" in either arm. For that reason, I decided it would be better to get my work done at Quest (even if a bit farther and less convenient than my doctor's office) where I would presumably see more experienced people. I took my 14 year old son here for bloodwork. They were very good with him knowing his last experience at Children's was subpar. We had an appointment and were brought back after being there for just a few minutes. They were quick and friendly. They talked with him the whole time to distract him from his anxiousness and it was done before he even realized it. Overall excellent care, quality service. We will be using this location for all of our future needs. read more

This place sucks. Maybe it's just being cynical cause of all the drug tests they have to do (not why i was there) Maybe it's a crappy company to work for.. Who knows... All i know is the staff hides out gossiping in the back. YOU CAN HEAR THEM! and they just can't be bothered to do their job. News flash nobody likes having to do labs. Not the patients either. We're all there because we have to be for I've reason or another. You don't have to make it totally obvious that you hate your job as you reluctantly and begrudgingly do it, or make your customers feel like it's their fault your day isn't all unicorns and rainbows. Like i said. Maybe it's a crappy company to work for, or crappy company culture, or maybe there's nothing that can be done about the fact that it's strip-mall-medical-services. I'm a health care provider. I came to this location JUST to drop off a patient's specimen. I stood at the window and waited for 25 minutes before someone even came to the waiting room window or door. There was a waiting room full of people. When the male finally came up front to make a copy, he told me I'd have to wait. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION unless you have alllll day. read more

The level of incompetence from the staff to preform reading orders from a doctor was pretty amazing. I made an appt. Showed up very early, they wouldn't see me early which is fine, but then, three people couldn't figure out how to read a lab order that was submitted by my doctor. I tried myself to explain it to them as I was very familiar with what I needed. Abs of course they couldn't get it done or figure it out. They just kept repeating I had to come in the morning. I left abs went directly to a Wellstar. The got me right in and immediate knew how to read the lab order and draw the test I needed. I would not deal with this lab company unless you absolutely had no other Choice and even then I would not recommend this terrible service to anyone. read more

DO NOT pay attention to any of bad reviews that are dated! I read them before choosing this location, so obviously I didn't know what to expect. Super easy process! After walking in and registering my info on a tablet, I was greeted within 5 minutes, by Brandi P. who was a pleasure to talk with! I came in to take a drug test for a job. During my time there I worked with a lady named Nicole. She was professional, very patient with customers, and a total joy to work with. There was another gentleman in there for a drug test and the entire staff of ladies was very patient and I was very impressed with their professionalism and ensuring that the customers were served, as well as respected. I am a fan of this office and the service that my wife and I got this morning BUT my wife thinks she left her calendar there and she is lost without it. The office is not in close proximity to us so she tried to call the office but you can't call their offices directly SO you have to call the 800 number. She did this twice and was hung up on twice. The second call I listened to on the speakerphone and the person that was in "no" customer service breathed heavily like it was imposing on her precious time for her to call that office and see if they had her calendar before she drove all the way there. Then of course they hung up on us. And of course no call back as if there are no call back numbers on their phones. read more
