Rude location. Close at 5 no matter how long you've been waiting for. Ridiculous how some of the people are still employed

Not to diminish anybody else's bad experiences (for which there seems to have been many, and thus,…read morethe lower over rating), but I received some of the best service I've received at ANY business, which says a lot these days. I arrived at 7.40 a.m. for a 7.50 a.m. "fasting labs" (this is where you can't have any food/drinks for 8-12 hours before your blood is collected for analysis). For an early-bird and coffee addict like me, this is never pleasant, not to mention the disruption to my work day. My appointment started on time, but as soon as I was taken into the room to do the collection, the technician said he did not have the proper documentation from my doctor...which I had presumed would have been sent electronically from my doctor. Without it, he could not do the work. Frustrating indeed, especially since I knew I wouldn't be able to call my doctor for at least another 10 minutes when they opened at 8 a.m., and the tech had other people he needed to see. My experience with customer care in these situations and in these days--and especially in Atlanta--is that you'd be told "too bad, if you can get your documents, maybe we'll see you at some point today." Instead, my tech was SUPER patient and understanding. He told me to go to the lobby, and once I was able to get my doctor to email the documents, all I had to do was knock on his door and he'd see me as soon as he finished with his current patient. By 8.10 a.m., I was back in his room where he did a FANTASTIC job with my collection. In fact, the reason I was at Quest was because I've had some difficulties with the inexperienced nurses at my doctor's office that--despite my supposed "great veins"--sometimes can't get blood, even after multiple "sticks" in either arm. For that reason, I decided it would be better to get my work done at Quest (even if a bit farther and less convenient than my doctor's office) where I would presumably see more experienced people. Thanks, Quest, for making what is never a fun experience--and what could have been a really difficult one--into one that went as painless (literally and figuratively) as possible!

Instead of helping me in-house, the staff sent me on a helpline loop that took an hour and three separate calls to resolve. During this time, they actually canceled my appointment because I wasn't in the lab room, despite just following their instructions. Most disappointingly, once the issue was finally resolved, the phlebotomist gave me a detailed lecture about how I was wrong instead of just moving forward with the blood draw. I appreciate my past positive experiences here, but today's broken support system and unprofessional lecturing were unacceptable.

This company has highly unethical billing practices where they collect money from your insurance…read moreplus bill you a total cash price of $453 and any "add ons" for GI testing, which are often not disclosed to the patient. You can easily spend $850 for a testing that you are told will not exceed $453. Such billing practices only benefit the company and take advantage of the patient. After multiple calls they did not make any accommodations and blamed the provider for ordering a GI test. At the end the customer/patient is at a loss. Such an unfortunate and unethical way to treat customer in already challenging medical and economic environment.

The company has good tests for GI issues. I have used their GI Map 3 times in the last 14 months…read more Everything was fine the first two times they billed my insurance and charged me the difference on the agreed upon total price of the test which was $453. The company supposedly changed their policy this year but failed to let me know this when they called me to collect my deposit of $218. They then billed my insurance which paid them out $152.89. They told me I'd pay the "cash price" of $453. BUT they failed to mention that they have a minimum requirement of what they believe my medical insurance should compensate them and if they don't meet that requirement they will charge me the full amount of the cash price AND keep whatever my insurance pays them. I didn't need them to submit a claim on my behalf. I could have done that myself. So now they expect me to pay the full cash price for the test and won't apply the amount my insurance paid towards it. So they pocket $152.89 just for filing the claim!! Again, I could have done that myself and the test would cost me $152.89 less. So they screwed me over by billing my insurance in the end and they are still expecting me to pay full price. The customer service rep just apologized but wouldn't adjust the bill this one time. I will not be using them in the future. That's too bad because the quality of the test itself I think was good. But their billing practices are just wrong and not ethical. They argue that because they are OON they can do whatever they want with their billing practices. Just because they can do it doesn't make it ok to do so and screw over their customers.
