#3 Asada or Nada
Van D.

Love the food and vibes of this cool franchise. It's such a smart business idea that you root for the owners to go off and do greater things! The food is good and not over priced even for California. The generous portions allow you to grab a few Dillas and sample with friends. Love the salsa options and that you can have 2 salsas with each order. Pop in even if you're not hungry because then you will be and why not support local good food and good folks!

Took a drive through the town and decided to come to a place I was familiar with. Got the Chicky, Chicky, Parm, Parm and Oaxacan Old Fashioned. Drink was good, though the fries were severely lacking.

Tasty, but a little overpriced

I think three stars suffice, and of course, whether you want it or not, here's an explanation. It's kind of a casual, open air setting that also houses an ice cream shop and a bar. Tvs showing off sports, and a lot of conversations fill the atmosphere with a buzz. Pretty relaxed... Not too loud, as I could hear our whole conversation. The quesadillas were pretty good. I did a build on my own, with bbq chicken, beans, cheese, and salsa. The chicken was good with the bbq sauce, the cheese melted well, and the black beans...were black beans. I describe it this way solely because that quesadilla, along with a soda, seems overpriced at almost $19. While tasty, I think that's a little ridiculous. Good for a quick, reliable lunch, but a little pricey

#3 Asada or Nada

The staff are really friendly and the food is really good I got the asada or nada and it was really good. Will be returning. 10/10

Located inside The Mix, there's something perfect to eat & drink depending on your mood. Get a Cocktail, grab a Quesadilla and then end the trip with some ice cream & a coffee to go. These Quesadillas were big & tasty, but beware you may need a fork & knife because they are slippery with grease/oil. Service was quick & friendly. Apple Pay accepted in this modern joint. Ambiance is cool, industrial with an exposed ceiling, brick, stained concrete, factory dome lighting & a massive A/C unit to keep you chilled. Only been open for 2 weeks/2 months. I feel a Yelp event coming on here

Absolutely incredible quesadillas, and I love that it's super vegan friendly. We came in around 7:45pm, and they were nice to let us order even though they close at 8. I built my own vegan quesadilla which was insanely delicious. The rest of my family enjoyed their quesadillas as well, and the little one loved the plain cheese option. We had some doubts whether it would be filling enough for dinner but the portions were pretty solid. Highly highly recommend!

Didn't realize it was a walk up only Resturant or sit outside; not an eat in restaurant. Disappointed cuz it was a little chilly out; didn't want to eat outside so had to eat in the car. The quesadilla we ordered was a number 3, where's the beef? There was plenty in the first three pieces of the quesadilla; however the last piece had nothing but fillings ( cheese and veggies). The service was good; staff was friendly . It was a little sketchy; you couldn't see what they were doing inside . Made me second think if I wanted to eat my food; I did because I was hungry and it was tasty; however weird you can't go inside.

Everything that we ate was amazing! Great vegan options and great choices for kids. This place is now located in The Mix. Not being from the area, it was a bit hard to find and there's limited seating. But, the service was excellent and our food was so fresh and came out quickly. The Atomic Veggie with avocado salsa was the absolute best. I wish they had something closer to Los Angeles, because I would eat here weekly.

When I first heard of quesadillas being a restaurant, I was very skeptical that it could be that good. I was wrong. It's excellent. Highly recommended. They elevate quesadillas to a true gourmet level. The atmosphere is casual, and I felt comfortable being in my sweaty gym clothes, and the overhanging trees are very nice shading for the seating. The only downside there are some flies wanting to eat the delicious food you've ordered with you. #1 recommended - "The classic" Pork Verde had a lot of marinated green chili sauce, with nice black bean sauce. 7/5 #2 - "where's the beef?" - fajita style roasted bell peppers with shredded beef. 6/5 #3- Evan boling - chicken and bacon. It's a nice plain quesadilla with chopped vegetables. My husbands favorite, he likes it's simplicity. 5/5 The salsas were all amazing. Because I love spicy things, I really loved the spicy chili Verde salsa and the habanero salsa. Others in my party loved the liquid gold. We also ordered the pico de gallo and avocado salsa. They were all excellent. However, the only negative was that I wouldn't recommend the sweet quesadillas. We ordered the quesadilla of the day which was Nutella and marshmallows, it was very sweet and needed some kind of relief as in maybe some fruit like strawberries or bananas placed inside.

Quesadilla Gorilla Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Quesadilla Gorilla

Are the rice or beans vegetarian?

Yes, our rice, beans, and all other veggie fillings are vegetarian and vegan.

Do you guys have a low carb tortilla option?

We do not have a typical low carb tortilla but we do have a gluten free corn tortilla option! Or you can always get your quesadilla as a bowl with no tortilla.

Many commented on gluten free options but is it actually gluten free...? Corn tortillas cooked on separate surface? Care to avoid cross contamination?

Yes! When ordered, you will be asked if it is an allergy or a preference. If it is an allergy or sensitivity, we will use a seperate cooking surface, gloves, and utensils! All of our fillings are gluten free as well!

Super clean restaurant My family went here last night after getting back from Kings Canyon. My immediate reaction walking in was that the restaurant is super clean and the staff were very kind and attentive. Our server brought chips and salsa to the table for us right away. They have a nice selection of Jarritos drinks and great horchata which comes in a large portion. The food was AMAZING! I ordered a chicken burrito and my dad ordered their quesa birria. We split the two and both were great! My dad said it was the best burrito he's ever had. I loved it too. It was standard in ingredients but excellent in taste. The quesa birria was also great. It was crispy and had a great portion of tender meat inside. My mom ordered enchiladas which she liked! She noted they came with potatoes on top and the red sauce you think of with enchiladas was cooked into the tortilla. Though, they have red sauce as an addition on the menu for $1.99, so I'm sure they would be happy to add it if that's what you are looking for. The food was reasonably fast, very hot, and delicious. They bring out three sauces: a green creamy sauce, a deep red sauce, and a bright red sauce. The first two mentioned are spicy and I loved the green sauce! I didn't try the deep red sauce but my dad says he didn't think it was too hot. The neighborhood the restaurant is in is good. It is near a nice residential neighborhood and across from a liquor store and other restaurant. There were very nice cars parked throughout the area and we did not encounter any issues at all! It is populated as the restaurant seems to get many takeout and Doordash orders. I think you can consider yourself reasonably safe here! This place gets my recommendation! We are headed home today but if we weren't, we would be coming back to El San Marcos tonight!

I asked for a variety of sauces, they had four and it was all so good, i even poured the habenero on the very top, which normally is too hot but it was all soooooo good. beef was tasty and not to chewy, good quality, great amount, not alot but not skimpy either and it filled my craving 100%. and Ruben the man at the window was great and finished with I appreciate you............great service, good timing, great food. I think out of anything i want to get out of this review is how hurt i am as customer. This isn't a…read morereview about food, it's about an incident that occurred this afternoon. I had a delivery driver who also happened to pick up my orders from here. We got to talking about other spots in town and I mentioned this place and he says, "ohhh you're THAT Frank". Automatically I'm like "uh oh" lol. Now before you start wondering "two sides to every story"; here's mine. I order a burrito combo with a large limonada. I ask for my burrito with just meat and rice, sometimes onions. I ask for it to be grilled. I asked for (2) to (3) serrano peppers on the side. Before they "disappeared" off of GrubHub, they had a button on their page for sauces. They don't charge for them on the app and don't have a quantity cap, so i usually ask for around (4) to (5) green and the same in habanero. The burritos are big and I'm a salsa kind of guy lol. If 10 sauces overall is too much, then that's fine. At least give me something lol. I've been given (0) or (1) at times. My burrito is 50/50 sometimes grilled, sometimes not "mostly not", they will forget my drinks from time to time. When i ask the driver, they say they weren't given a drink. My food has come cold, the meat has been chewy and fatty. I've had to get refunds on orders because of the quality. So I always ask the drivers to make sure my drinks are there and my sauces are in the bag. But here I've been, coming back cause i was genuinely a happy customer more times than not. Then to randomly hear from a delivery driver who's picked up your orders from here before, you've been talked "sh$t' about. So much that he even contemplated telling me "DONT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE". This is a place you've given business to on a regular basis! It's disheartening and it hurts. My last review was even a good one lol. Needless to say I'm not coming back. Pretty messed up too, cause i was happy to see them come to town since i first encountered them in Bakersfield. Oh well.. talk all the crap you want now, hope you read this. I know one customer ain't no love lost. But now everyone will know how they're being treated behind their backs. Better places in town to find.

For 1 burrito and 1 taco with tip, came out to around $33. Don't do delivery from here. The Burrito was not very good. The meat was almost like ground beef in texture but also non existent at the same time. I tasted more beans than rice but even then, it was more of a soupy burrito with a tortilla that you had to rip at and hope each bite wouldn't undo the whole burrito. There was some kind of salsa inside it that wasn't apart of the description. It gave it an off flavor. Al Pastor taco was meh. The corn tortillas tasted homemade, which was nice. But the meat was stringy, kind of fatty and an off color almost a light orange. It tasted better than the asada but still wasn't very good. I do appreciate they followed my request for extra salsa, but these packs look like they come from a frozen dinner you get at the store. Absolutely off putting. The flavor was "ok" but nothing special. Overall, not worth it. $33 and I was left with an upset stomach. I had such high hopes! I haven't been in a long time and was hoping it would have been an amazing experience. I was wrong. I gave 3 stars cause I do appreciate them following the special instructions most other restaurants don't. But that still can't justify the food.

But in the past several…read moreyears, it's completely gone downhill both in customer service, quality of the food, & its pricing. The portions have gotten noticeably smaller, however the prices continue to rise. What you are served is definitely not worth what Azul's charges you. This place used to be a regular go-to spot for myself when I am in Visalia, which is quite often. My sister & her husband were weekly regulars there & were (allegedly) friends with the owner. The last several times I've been there for a meal with my sister & BIL the owner has come over to say hello, but she has not seemed genuine or at all happy to see my sister & BIL. Instead, her "hellos" & the quick small talk that is expected of an owner greeting their regulars seemed incredibly forced & just completely inorganic. It was like she did not want us there, found it annoying that we were there, & did not appreciate our business at all. That made me feel very uncomfortable. The last time my family was there, it was my sister, mother, & their friend (a Visalia local) that were dining in. My mother picked up the check & paid by debit card & rounded up the just under $70 bill to $90 for the tip. When she looked at her bank statement a few days later, she discovered that the server had charged $100. My mom called my sister, who told her to call the owner & let her know what happened to make it right. They were trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time knew the chances of an experienced server mistaking a 2-digit total for a 3-digit total is highly unlikely. When my mother called the restaurant to speak to the owner, she kept my mother waiting on hold for the longest time. After the owner finally did come to the phone, she was very rude to my mom: didn't say hello or ask how she was. The owner completely dismissed the occurrence, saying that the server who ran the card was one of her best girls & longest employees & that there was no way that could have happened. The way she spoke to my mother, it was like she was trying to make my mother feel like it was her fault, & was making an issue out of nothing. My mom assured her that she had copies of the receipt with the correct total, to which the owner rudely said something like "okay, so what now? You want the $10 back?" completely dismissively. My mother tried to be polite--as this was a "friend" of my sister's & my sister & BIL were still at that point regulars--so she said the next time they came in to dine, they could discount that tab by $10. Obviously, that never happened. When my BIL found that out, he & my sister both decided they would no longer give their business to such a place. None of us have been back since. I do not recommend eating here. You will get mediocre food at an expensive price tag. Plus you will run the risk of dishonest servers over tipping themselves under the protection of an owner who clearly does not care & puts her customers down. If this was the experience of regular customers, I can only imagine how the non-regulars are treated...

Our server, Adriana, asked me to text the picture to the # I was calling +1 (559) 830-4004 so the manager could approve a refund. I did exactly as instructed, and they did respond after reviewing picture and said they would issue refund... but despite following up multiple times, no one ever processed my refund or even responded. Considering how expensive the food is here (plus added service fees), it's really disappointing to be treated with such unprofessionalism. All I expected was accountability and a resolution for an order that was clearly incomplete. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and customer care has left a very negative impression, and I don't plan to return.
