Finding a new place for great lunch in the northern neck was quite a treat! The food and service was amazing! The ladies that run Queenz are warm and engaging. We had a panini club and a beef cheesesteak sub! Both were excellent and the home made onion rings were the icing on the cake! Last but not least the bread pudding was simply to die for! Highly recommend this gem in the northern neck!

They're not trying to be Le Bernardin so don't expect parmesean tuiles with your deconstructed fish sandwich. If you want a great meal at an affordable price then this is your spot. Come by car, or boat (we always stop for lunch on our way out with friends on the boat). They have cold beer, a full bar, and a screened in covered patio to enjoy those warm days. As for service, this place can get busy and everyone comes at once. So sit wherever you'd like, I can assure you the servers know you are there. It might take a minute for them to take your order, because they are just working through all the people who came in just before you. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the breeze.

Nice little place on the water. We went there by boat over Memorial Day weekend. The place was…read morepacked inside and out. The wait staff were running around trying to take care of everyone and doing a pretty great job. I'm sure the kitchen staff were busy trying to take care of all the lunch orders; we did have a long wait for our food, but it was very understandable. We ordered a fish sandwich with some onion rings that were delicious, a steak & cheese, and a club. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. Overall a great local place to stop at while out boating or fishing. Plenty of room to dock your boat and enjoy some lunch before getting back out on the water to catch some Stripers.

Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional and Aggressive Conduct by Manager…read more I am writing to formally bring to your attention an extremely concerning experience my family and I had at your restaurant on [08/30/2025]. We had a reservation for a party of seven, and what should have been an enjoyable evening was overshadowed by poor service, unprofessional behavior, and, most importantly, extremely aggressive conduct by the manager on duty. Summary of Issues Experienced * Two members of our party ordered sodas, which were incorrect, so they chose to drink water instead. * One member ordered chicken noodle soup but was served only broth with no noodles or chicken. * Another member ordered a flatbread pepperoni pizza, which arrived missing a slice in the center. In place of the missing slice, two crackers with sauce and cheese had been placed on the pizza without explanation. When we brought these issues to our waitress's attention, her responses were dismissive and unhelpful. For example, when notified about the soup and pizza, she simply said "ok?" or "is there anything else?" before walking away without addressing the situation. Interaction with the Manager At the end of our meal, we politely requested to speak with the manager to discuss these concerns and understand what had happened with our food. Instead, the waitress returned and said she had removed the chicken noodle soup and pizza from our bill, which we appreciated, but this was not our request -- we wanted clarification, not compensation. When the manager finally came to our table, he approached aggressively and loudly stated, "WHAT DO YOU WANT? I ALREADY TOOK THIS OFF THE BILL!" We attempted to calmly explain and show him the pizza, but he picked it up with his bare hands, threw it onto the table, and yelled, "TWO PIECES OF PIZZA FELL ON THE FLOOR, SO THEY PUT CRACKERS THERE TO MAKE UP FOR IT!" At no point had this been explained beforehand, and he did not offer to remake or replace the pizza. Escalation at the Front Counter Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to pay our bill and leave. However, when we went to the front counter, we overheard staff discussing our family inappropriately. Moments later, the manager came toward us almost running, loudly asking, "WHAT'S THE PROBLEM NOW?!" As a young woman, I felt threatened and unsafe due to his intimidating tone and proximity. My family tried to de-escalate, but the manager became increasingly hostile, yelling at us to "get out" or he would "call the police." When we asked for his name, he refused to provide it, and when we requested to speak with the owner, he continued yelling and ordered us to leave. Why I Am Reaching Out This experience left my family and me shaken. The aggressive and unprofessional behavior of the manager, coupled with the mishandling of our food and the overall poor service, was entirely unacceptable. At several points during the encounter, it felt as though the situation could have escalated physically, which is deeply concerning for any guest in your establishment. I am respectfully requesting the following: 1. A formal review of this incident and the conduct of the manager and staff involved. 2. Clarification on your policies regarding food handling, guest safety, and customer service. 3. A direct response from ownership or corporate leadership regarding how this situation will be addressed. Our intention in raising these concerns is not only to resolve our personal experience but also to ensure that future guests are treated with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.

I struggled with this rating because I grade on a curve for local business, but couldn't give them…read morethe 4 that part of me wanted to award. I was in there several nights ago and they were not busy. I sat in a large dining room that awaits adornment, but with a fabulous view and tables not too close together. My server, Maddison, was excellent. Sometimes single diners get forgotten, but she took good care of me, conscientiously and professionally. Other employees I encountered were cheerful and forward-leaning to take good care of customers. I had the Captain's Platter, which comes with - 3 nicely spiced, large shrimp that couldn't have been better, - 3 room temperature hush puppies that wouldn't melt butter, - 3 lil' standard fried oysters that didn't really matter - and a piece of rubbery haddock that couldn't pass muster. The fish bravely refused to surrender, but eventually gave way to persistent sawing with my knife. I had it cornered and it wasn't getting away. The filet was about half the size of a slice of sandwich bread. ***The star of the show is the mini-crab cake that was not that mini and the best crab cake in the area, with nice sized chunks of lump crab meat. Wow, that is a fabulous crab cake and the way they make it has a nice, different appearance with a swirl.*** The house salad was blah. One would think in the last few days of August that restaurants would have fresh, ripe tomatoes, but I ate there 3 days ago and the cherry tomatoes in my salad would have been ripe in a couple of weeks if left on the vine. At $39, I thought it overpriced. For that kind of dough, 4 shrimp, oysters and hush puppies would be called for, at a minimum. Locally-caught fish seems to be kinda obvious in "America's Fishing Village." Right? Let's just stop and ask ourselves, Q: "What fish is a Reedville captain going to put on his signature platter?" A: "A Reedville captain is gonna put a nice, big, thick slab of rockfish on his Captain's Platter, that's what. Not a microwaved filet caught by the Gorton's fisherman." That said, it sure was a good crab cake, and a Chesapeake Bay restaurant had damned well better serve a good crab cake. This one is a standout, fer sure, solidly ahead of strong competition. They don't tell you, but the Reedville Market sneaks an extra credit card charge on the bill. Why not make it a line I can see on the bill? That, and the portion size make me wonder if there's a tightwad manager looking to squeeze out a few extra dollars here or there who needs to lighten up. Reedville Market does some things right. I've had some very good meals there before and it has an enjoyable vibe. They did have a couple of easily avoided stumbles introduce tarnish to the evening. They are also trying to do better, at least the line employees I saw were. I'll go back.
