My nose piercing fell out over the weekend and the customer service here was impeccable! I called them the following day and was in communication with them almost immediately, where they eased my worried on my piercing and let me come down to get it put back in! It was a super seamless process when I came back in, they did have to pierce the hole again as it closed up, but since I had my jewelry, the process was super quick! HORRIBLE experience. Danny gave my friend entirely the wrong piercing. We went in so she could get a daith piercing specifically for potential migraine benefits. She and Danny had an entire conversation about the daith piercing while he was setting up, he even mentioned that he'd been trying to convince his wife to get one. It wasn't until later that we realized he'd actually given her a rook piercing--still looks cool, but no migraine benefits and NOT what she asked for. She messaged him on Instagram, and he claimed that he realized his mistake after she left when he was looking at the pictures. He never took any pictures of my friend. He also claimed that his mistake must have been due to muscle memory since he had pierced so many rooks that day...my friend and I were the very first customers when the shop opened. That makes me think he must have mis-pierced ANOTHER person, too. Also, if he realized his mistake, why didn't he proactively reach out to her and offer to fix it? He had her contact info from the paperwork. He offered to re-pierce her for free, but didn't offer a refund until she specifically asked. He also tried to mitigate the severity of his mistake by claiming that she shouldn't have gotten a daith piercing anyway because the migraine benefits aren't scientifically proven. If Danny really thinks people shouldn't get daith piercings for migraines, why did he not only agree with her reasoning when we were in the shop but tell her that he'd been trying to convince his wife to try a daith for her migraines? Aside from that fiasco, the whole experience was super chaotic--the front door was still locked fifteen minutes after opening, the girl at the front desk was super scatterbrained and we kept having to correct/remind her about basic information, and Danny stopped to take a call on his personal cell mid-piercing. I've been meaning to post this review for about a month...the impetus to finally do it came today when my friend told me the ball had fallen off her earring when she wasn't even touching it, which absolutely shouldn't happen if it was screwed on properly. I didn't get a piercing from Danny, but I did buy a new stud for my forward helix (pierced years ago somewhere else) from the shop and asked Danny to help me change it. I expressed my concern that the earring he put in was too long for a forward helix, but he brushed it off and said it would still sit how it's supposed to. I trusted his opinion since he's the professional piercer. Turns out I was right, the piercing is constantly sliding forward to stick out about a quarter inch and looks ridiculous. Huge waste of time and money. I have no idea what the tattoo experience is like, but stay far away from Queen's Gambit for piercings. read more

I booked an appointment originally to get help switching jewelry in an old piercing in my tragus I've had for over 10 years. On impulse I also decided book an appointment for new piercing. When I was asked what I wanted, I said I wasn't sure of the name but something in ears. When I got there I spoke to the person behind the counter and tried to show her what I wanted with my fingers in a pinching shape. She confidently said it was a rook. but that seemed wrong. I told her I was unsure and tried to look up a photo while she left to set up the room. I never got the picture to load probably because we were in a basement. I even attempted to walk over to the display case but once I got to it she called me into the room. I was still really unsure and It was pretty obvious- she drew the placement on my ear. What I wanted was a daith. She handed me a mirror but I said I couldn't really see because of the angle. So I got up and used a wall mirror with the hand mirror to try and get a better angle but said again I wasn't sure and I cant really see. What I ended up receiving was a rook. I've had many piercing before so I trusted this person to not rush me and give me exactly what I wanted and I don't feel that was the case. Once I got home and realized the mistake I was pretty upset. I'm getting married next week on may 4th and I really wanted the daith for that and it sucks I'm out 100$(total) for something I didn't want/someone to screw something into an existing hole. Not even 2 days later the rook fell out. That's never happed to me before with starter jewelry and imo was strange. Monica did put it back in at NO-extra cost for me but due to it being so fresh and whatever tool she was using to screw the bar bell back in. It sprang off my piercing 5+ times and hurt worse with each one to the point I almost had to stop. read more

I recently got a helix (cartilage) ear piercing and had a great experience! I liked being able to book online, and the shop offers a wide variety of jewelry options. The shop itself was a bit hard to find but very spacious and clean - good vibes. My piercing was with Monica and I highly recommend booking with her if you can!! She double checked the placement with me beforehand and went over different sizing options. I have had a few piercings before but this time I almost passed out afterwards. I went for a walk in the other day since I had the craziest impulse to get a small tattoo. Robin helped me out and I had the most relaxing experience! He did a wonderful job with the process and I felt very at ease getting my tattoo done by him. His artwork is fantastic as well, I love the studio ghibli art. I am very happy with my piercings. I got a conch and a nose piercing. They were able to fit me in last minute, and now I have a tattoo appointment scheduled in a couple weeks. It was a little hard to find though and I was a bit nervous looking for the spot. It's in the basement, so its a little off putting till you get into the shop itself. I'm glad they were able to guide me in on the phone. Once I got there everything was good. I'm thankful they had titanium options for the jewelry because I am too sensitive for the regular jewelry. read more

I paid $80 for two daith piercings, followed by $300 in medical bills. I really wanted to give this place a positive review, because Monica is really nice in person and through email. Warning this is a bit gross. When I initially went in I asked for daith piercings to potentially help with migraines. Instead I got forward helix piercings. At first I assumed I must have misremember the placement and left the shop. When researching after care I noticed no pictures looked like mine and I contacted the shop. She offered to replace them for free! I was so happy I wasn't going to have to pay for another piercing. The first one went okay, but the second she couldn't get the needle through and had to pull it out. As a result my ear canal filled with blood and got clogged. She didn't even notice this happened. This piercing had no movement at all - which should have told me it was too small, but I was so distracted by not being able to hear that I didn't think much of it. I tried to get it out myself, but a small amount mixed with ear wax and I had to go to urgent care to get it irrigated. It was started to hurt, but the doctor told me it might be a little sensitive since he'd had to put hydrogen peroxide in my ear canal and it was so close. Turns out it was infected and swelled up so big I couldn't see the top ball within 2 more days. So I ended up with another trip to urgent care for antibiotics. The original piercings I had showed no signs of infection before being removed. The other ear seems fine. According to the doctor at urgent care it likely happened because the needle had to be pulled out of my ear and then a second attempt at piercing was made and the jewelry was too small - which it turns out often leads to infection. read more

Went to QB to get my daughter a second set of ear piercings. First time we went to the mall, and she ended up with asymmetrical earrings and virtually no advice on how to keep them clean except to buy their own product, so I thought I'd try to find a more professional place. Even though ear piercings are probably not the most complicated thing, it was night and day. Its a nice clean shop, everyone was friendly, and the piercings came out perfect. Also, my daughter got much much better advice about how to keep the piercings clean going forward as the proper amout of time was taken to discuss everything. So our experience was an excellent one. MUCH better choice than going to the mall! And the tatoo artwork I saw on the wall was also terrific! read more

I was able to get right in to have my daith earrings reinserted after having to remove them for an MRI. This was no easy task because of the location and the particular style of earring I had been wearing. Monica persisted and got the job done. She is friendly and talented and her ink art is amazing. The one and only tattoo artist at this shop seems really nice but I would not go here if I were you. Unfortunately I was in a rush to get a scar covered and took a friend's recommendation instead of doing my own research. The tattoo looks absolutely horrible and after getting in contact with other tattoo artist my concerns were validated. Please save your money and most importantly your skin and pay the money for a QUALITY tattoo. This tattoo was done in less than 30 minutes and it really shows. I don't want to bash her because she does seem like a nice person but I from the time I was in the chair I knew that the tattoo was not done properly AT ALL. The lines are terrible and it literally looks like a child drew it. At this point I do not want to go back for a touch up because it won't make a difference because it's simply a BAD TATTOO that needs work from an artist with more know how. I can't get a refund or a partial refund and I'm not even mad at her because I should have done proper research before permanently marking my skin.
