She showed genuine care and interest from the get go and we knew we were in good hands. As someone who is a little more Type A (bride) when it comes to organization and planning, it was over whelming trying to consider how to plan the biggest day of our lives. Maria went above and beyond and took any ounce of stress away. She helped us pick our vendor team early on into the planning process, allowing us to find people who matched our energy. What seemed to be so daunting became some of the easiest decisions to make. Throughout the year, Maria checked in with us to make sure things were okay. She looked over our contracts and helped us plan the next steps whether it was food tasting, floral meetings, making a design deck, or buying a cake just for a photo. Monthly chats quickly turned into weekly chats as we got closer to the big day. Maria ensured every little detail was covered asking us questions about our bridal party, songs we wanted to be played, table greetings, and thank you cards. Before the day of our wedding, she sent us a checklist of items to give her to help take the added weight off our shoulders so we can enjoy our day. What we thought was already an above and beyond was nothing near the day of experience. Maria and her team could not have planned a better timeline for us and our loved ones. Maria took charge handling all our vendors while her assistants Cat and Chelsea ensured we were okay and our bridal party was set and ready to go. Everything was seamless as they took care of little things such as ensuring we had food to eat, water to drink, and a moment to breathe. When we had some last minute changes such as changed meals or guest coming and going, they handled it with ease. Many of our guest raved about our vendors and how amazing the day was, but it couldn't have happened without Maria and her team. They were all so great at keeping everything on schedule, getting people to where they needed to be, and stopping family members from mobbing us to take a million phone photos. I hired Luxury Estate Weddings & Events (LEWE) for my wedding last year, and their…read moreunprofessionalism and unethical behaviors had caused me a lot of stress and a few sleepless nights. Please note that I'm quite an easy-going bride, and none of the stress came from the actual planning. I really wished someone who worked with them prior had warned me, so I write this as a warning to people who are considering to hire them. I was blown away with their nice website and pretty pictures, and wanted to have our wedding at a private venue - so we decided to go with them. However, after you sign that extremely detailed unbreakable contract for the "All Inclusive Wedding Package", it just went downhill from there. As it is an all inclusive package, almost every vendor is through them (e.g. caterer, photographer, DJ etc). In this case, even if (LEWE)'s services is not up to your expectations, you cannot fire them because they are tied to everything else. If you do 'fire' them, then you will have to forfeit all the money and vendors. It is a horrible position to be in, and by signing this contract, you are giving them all the power. I think from this stand point alone, it is enough for you to stay away from them. In addition, a lot of what the package offered was very basic/ bare minimum, for example they only include 1 hour open bar. To extend the open bar, they charge premium prices per guest. Yet, you will be stuck with their bar vendor. The caterer also told me the Hors d'oeuvre included only had 4 pieces per person, and that I (and every bride prior) had to pay for extra food to make sure their guests are full. They market themselves as having packages starting at 50k, however when you sign the contract there is a $1,500 non-refundable cleaning fee included- so even at the bare minimum, you'd have to pay $51,500. There were extra costs and upgrades (at a high premium) almost every step of the way. However, It really wasn't the financials that bothered me, it was the way LEWE handled it that just made me feel like i was getting scammed. Ultimately, because everything was 'included', they try to cut cost wherever they can so they can keep more of the money. They also tried to up-sell me, and snuck in extra costs. There was also company politics and the employees would argue and include me in those emails/ conversations - which was unprofessional. Look at the bigger picture: they always reuse vendors, so your wedding almost doesn't differ from any of their other clients. You pay premium for their services too (package starts at about 51k+, but it includes very basic things so no one only ends up paying that amount). I think the ideal way is to contact the private venue yourself and hire a wedding coordinator flat rate (no kickbacks). A good wedding coordinator will handle and coordinate all the vendors on your behalf. This way, every vendor is independent, and they are all held accountable. I've since spoken to friends who have had beautiful well-run weddings, and one of the top wedding coordinator (who had 13 assistants and sent weekly to-do lists, follow ups etc) charges $7k flat rate. That is way of a better investment, than paying 50k and getting up-charged along the way. I swear, with this plan I believe you can have a beautiful wedding that is more personalized to you, at almost half the cost. Feel free to DM me for more information.
