When I called that Thursday, I specifically said I wanted acrylics. I asked how much, they said $55. They said the next opening was the next Tuesday which was pushing my timeframe because I am going out of town for a few weeks and was hoping to have them last that long. It's been years since I've had my nails done, so I was looking forward to it. When I arrived, I told the woman my name and said I had an appointment for acrylics. There was only a woman and a man working in there - no one else was in the salonn - no customers. The woman said they do not do acrylics, only dip nails. I told her when I called I said acrylics and no one said they didn't do them. The man jumped in, kind of aggressive tone and said they haven't done acrylics in over 5 years. I was not being argumentative at all but I was disappointed because I didn't have time to reschedule with anyone else. She asked me if I wanted to do the dip and I asked "will it last for 3 weeks, I'm going out of town and the last time I had dip it fell off early." She said it would stay on for 3 weeks so I agreed. Then I told her I wanted it to be natural color with a white tip. She said the shellac would be the best for me. I didn't know what a shellac was, I said I wanted the tip to not be too long, she asked me "this long?" and I said yes, and she started working on my nails. She had mumbled something in the middle of working on my nails, I couldn't hear her because she said it so quietly so I didn't reply. I'm wondering now if it was some kind of tactic to say that I agreed to what she was doing. She said something again, and I had to ask her again because I couldn't hear her. she said more loudly "relax" because apparently I was not turning my arm the weird position she wanted it at. I have arthritis in my hands and joints so it was uncomfortable and I said that to her. So while she worked about halfway through I asked her if the tip would be longer. She said in kind of a gruff voice, "I know what you want" She kept working and it ended up basically gel nail polish with a hardener over my nails, no length at all! She charged me $60 for what was done, she did ask if that was ok, but I had no idea what a shellac was supposed to cost, so when I got home I checked online to see what other salons were charging for it. I also checked to see what it was because I didn't have any idea. It says it will only last a couple of weeks! Other places are charging around $30 plus an extra $5 for the white tip. I called to ask her why I was charged so much and she said something about special something underneath. She got argumentative and said I agreed to it which of course is not true because she knew when I started asking questions in the middle of getting them done, that I didn't understand. I loved the service luke did a good job very detailed and queen did a good job as well. they both were polite and helpful. decently priced and overall had a good experience 5/5 stars. The vibe was nice as they had music playing and got to sit in there massage chairs felt nice and calm me and my father were the only ones there and it felt nice as were being waited in the whole time. read more

3 stars because they were pretty cleanly. Was there for an hour just to get shellac taken off that's it. They spoke to me twice once to ask what I was in for and at the end to tell me I owed $15 again JUST to get shellac taken off which I've NEVER paid more than $10 for at the what probably 30 different salons I've been to in my lifetime.. Yea I'm mad over that 5 whatever. But I could've went anywhere else and it would've been $10 and I would've tipped them that $5 anyways.. but giving someone $20 for taking off shellac just didn't sit right with me read more

I have used this salon since I moved to Michigan. (6 years) I've read some of the reviews and I got to give the owners credit here because they've really managed to accommodate people the best that they can with all of the Covid restrictions that have been laid in place. I'm sure it's been tough. When I call for an appointment, I can usually get one quickly and within a reasonable amount of time. I also give them a 10 star rating when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene. When you're having your pedicure or manicure done you can see for yourself that their auto clave is in plain sight so you know the instruments they are using on your hands or feet have been properly sterilized. I've only had a pedicure at Queen Nails about four times this summer and I've not been disappointed. The shop is clean and friendly.

I am from out of town and made an appointment for Monday when it seemed that other nail salons were closed. I had a manicure and a pedicure and found that the service was excellent. There seemed to be a continuous stream of customers, each were greeted with smiles and a welcoming "hello". The shop appeared very clean,the price was 10 dollars less than I normally pay. I am a satisfied customer and when I return to Tecumseh to visit my daughter and her family, I wil return to Queen nalls. read more

I broke my nail the day before thanksgiving and it was cracked well above my smile line so I made an appointment for the day after thanksgiving and just patched my nail up to last until then. The service was great! There was a mix up with my appointment but that was my bad and they were still able to take me and were super cool about it. My nails look so great and I couldn't ask for better customer service! I'll definitely be coming back to get my nails done for Christmas! read more

I'm visiting family in the area. Queen Nails was able to take me as a last minute walk in, which was great. I just got a basic, natural, no-polish manicure. To be fair, my cuticles were dry and fragile, but the lady did cut me. She said no when I asked for a buff finish. She interrupted my manicure several time to help other clients and check the schedule. This is a standard, fume-filled nail salon. It seems like they have a positive relationship with their regulars, and maybe they do a good job with fake nails, I have no idea. Next time, however, I'll schedule in advance with one of the salons downtown in hopes of finding a better technician and environment for a natural mani. read more
