Sports Plus is very rude! Went there over the Holiday for Basketball Tournaments for 10-11 year old's to play basketball and they are walking around harassing parents who are not wearing a mask for COVID-19. Literally harassed a parent and kicked her out when another parent got her a mask to wear. The guy literally made her leave and threw her and her son out of the building just because!!! Who does that? She got a mask but was not good enough for him! He is rude and wanted to pick an argument with this poor woman. Her and her son both left crying after paying money to play in this tournament! So sad that this world has come to this! I will not be back there my child will sit out! I have no words to describe the unbelievably terrible experience our 3rd/4th grade volleyball "league" had with his place. The league was supposed to run from November 11-December 15, guaranteeing 10 games and a tournament. Because of the complete mismanagement, lack of communication, and out right lying by their staff...we had 4 games by the 15th of December. There was no league and they wouldn't own up to the fact that only two teams even signed up; tried to hide it through "cancellations" and rescheduling. To top it all off the way the person running it spoke to the coaches was deplorable. I'm sad for the players and I'm angry that a business is being allowed to run like this. read more

We had my sons 7th birthday party here yesterday. We didn't pay for the typical party price. We instead bought tickets through cincysavers.com for a more budget friendly option. Things started out a bit rocky at first when the front desk staff had no prior knowledge of me calling ahead to reserve tables in the Mezzanine area (overlook on top). That was quickly resolved when the owner arrived to clear up the matter. There were many people in the line, it was chaotic, but the staff were kind and kept their cool. I was impressed because not sure I could do the same. The waiver system is a bit chaotic also. I read the fine print on my cincysavers coupon and filled out ahead of time online, but it seemed like many did not. Their were a few computers off to the side to assist people with this but if people would read and fill them out ahead it would help this staff tremendously. We ordered several large pizzas through the owner when checking In for our guests. They were priced well! $10 for Cheese and $12 for Pep. Not too bad for an establishment like this. The drinks were a bit pricey. $3.00 for mediums and $4.00 for large. Cups for a bit small. The owner was more than helpful with giving us free pitchers of ice water for the party which helped out a lot. And we bought a couple pitchers of Lemonade throughout the day. We were asked by the owner what time we wanted the pizzas to be done by for the party. I told him 4:00 due to our 3 hours from 3:00-6:00. At 4:00 I headed to the concession area expecting to have to wait endlessly on the pizza, but the owner saw me in line and had a stack of them hot and ready for us! Impressive! Pizza was a hit with the kids. The upstairs area was great for having a get together with family and friends. It was great to sit back and have a beer upstairs and watch your kids jump below, or watch them on the tv screens that they offer. There is a camera inside each jumping area so you can watch your kids closer. Overall we had a great experience. The staff was friendly. The owner was nice and tried to make our experience a good one. My son and his friends said it was EPIC so I think Sports Plus was successful! We will definitely be back and all of our guests said the same! read more

Yeah, this place IS brilliant, but they know they are and they charge you for it... It's not incredibly outrageous, but you have to have the budget for your group. And, I'm not saying they will or won't work with large groups with regard to pricing, but it can't hurt to ask. There is so much offered for your teens and youth. Ice Skating, Video Games, Laser Tag, a climbing wall experience, It really is a great place to bring the kids. I typically have counselors helping me out and I usually take advantage and slink away into the rinks if one of the local high school hockey teams happens to be scrimmaging... Evendale's Sports Plus is a place for sports PLUS entertainment, hence the name. Sports Plus used to be a really fun place for birthday parties and youth group events when I was younger, but it has been a while since I last went there. The NHL-size skating rinks (USA, Canadian) have always been a hit for ice skaters or those just looking for fun, while many youth and high school teams and adult leagues play at Sports Plus as well. The arcade looks about the same, but they have added a mini bowling alley which is neat. Also, the hockey pro shop, Tiki Island Mini golf, Ferris wheel ride, soft play gym area, Himalaya mini roller coaster, V-14 simulator, rock-climbing wall, and my favorite, the Laser Tag arena, are all still there, but there have been some big changes since I last made it to Sports Plus. The former indoor soccer field has been replaced by an inline hockey rink (with scoreboard), while about four years ago they expanded the building and added six basketball courts. I stopped in on what happened to be the first day of the 2008 AAU 15U/9th Grade Boys Basketball Division I National Championship, which shows you the caliber of the improved Sports Plus. The snack bar has also been transformed in to a Pizza Hut/Wing Street, while they have Slugger's Rockin' Sports Café (with later hours than the rest of Sports Plus) too. For the average person, Sports Plus used to be a place to skate, play laser tag, and have birthday parties, but now it is much more. While you can still do all three, the addition of the basketball courts and the inline hockey rink and the events they host (AAU championship, August's State Wars roller hockey tournament with over 250 teams), as well the ice hockey, miniature golf, and climbing wall, Sports Plus really is sports plus entertainment/fun. I can't think of any other place around where you can play in an arcade, play laser tag, basetball, and miniature golf, and ice skate or play hockey all under one roof. read more

Avoid this place. Signed up for HS spring basketball league. The owner kept rescheduling our games to times that our players were unavailable. We had communication with the Owner prior to registration on our availability. He promised he would accommodate. He did not. Then when we rearranged our schedules, he would change the times again, This went on all season and we never made more than one game. The owner refused any kind of refund. This place has went way down hill. I used to go here when i was in high school and it was the bomb. It had a great arcade, laser tag, a roller coaster, indoor soccer, and much more. Now none of that is there. The arcade has been replaced by inflatable bouncy things. The roller coaster is god knows were. Laser tag is shut down ans the soccer field is now inline roller hockey. It still has the ice skating and putt-putt. The putt-putt is cheap and the course is a well laid out but is needs lots of repairs. Some of the holes have spots were the carpet is worn all the way gone and it needs to have all of the holes swept off. The staff is useless there. Ask them a question and they have no clue. I've been to this place one time, and unfortunately, I will have to go back at least once more. While undoubtedly there is a lot to do at Sports Plus, my first experience there simply had to do with a basketball tournament. Not only does the place charge the teams for the tournament, it also charges $6 per adult per day of the tournament and $2 per sibling to then go watch your child play. I actually don't mind paying a couple of bucks, but $6 per person, per day? C'mon! I know these places have huge overhead and have to find a way to make a dollar every way possible, but if you are going to host a tournament, be accommodating to your customers, otherwise, like me, you'll avoid the place in the future. Maybe if enough people complain, they will change, but I doubt it. Finally, the place needs a good scrub down and although I didn't use the bathrooms, my wife says avoid them at all cost. read more

Looking for a fun date or a family adventure? Sports Plus on Reading Road is a great destination. I owe a few of my more embarrassing (but memorable) dates to the "Free Skate" on the ice rink at Sports Plus...falling on your butt while three year old dynamos skate circles around you isn't exactly the greatest way to inspire romance. I still love ice skating, despite being hopelessly unbalanced and the opposite of graceful on blades. Sports Plus is the home of many area club hockey teams so be sure to call the complex for their weekly schedule of free skate times. There is usually a free skate on Friday evenings, perfect for date night. Don't worry if you don't have your own skates, there are plenty to rent and lockers to store your shoes in right outside the rink! Cost per public skate session is $7; add $4 more if you need rentals. If you aren't a fan of ice skating, check out one of the many other attractions Sports Plus has to offer. The arcade and laser tag arena are generally overrun with young teens or after-prom goers, but they're still fun activities that kids of all ages can appreciate. Tickets at Sports Plus can be used towards any attraction; numbers differ depending on what you want to try (20 tickets for $16. Visitors can climb the novice friendly rock-wall for $4 or 4 tickets, not a bad deal. Sports Plus also has a miniature golf course outside. When you're done playing (most attractions close by 10pm on weekend nights, 9pm on weekdays), check out the Halftime Bar & Grill, which features burgers and a full bar. read more

The arcade area is ok. Their laser tag area is below par. Some of the laser guns don't work & the course could be improved.

This place has a little bit of everything: hockey rink, ice rinks, rock climbing walls, zip lines, tramp floors for bouncing, trampoline for playing basketball, volleyball, basketball, and more. HOWEVER, the Place was a Dump. It Was Dirty. It Smelled Like Sweat. There was no venilation working.(at least not that day) Paper cups, water bottles, food wrappers, paper food plates, and more were all over the tables and the bleachers. The restrooms were filthy and smelled. They needed to be restocked with toilet paper and towles. Not one employee asked you if you needed help. Overall, this could and should be a really cool place if they just cleaned it and helped the customers . read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. If you have an opportunity to play Men's League Hockey somewhere else I strongly recommend it. The ice is not taken care of properly; there are waves yes ice waves along the boards, holes in random places due to water drips from the ceiling, and recently cement starting to show. If you hear an alarm going off during the game its probably the carbon detector. I've witnessed an employee just walk over and take the batteries out, real safe... If you survive your game and want to take a shower you cant due to plumbing issues or that's what they say. The locker rooms smell like an outhouse and even if the showers worked the water is ice cold. We have a few nicknames for this place, Sport Minus, and Sewage Plus. Please someone build a new rink because every time I step in that building I loose 3 years of my life. read more

Would give 5 stars but place has everything I would need a roller rink and ice rinks nit fancy but it gets things done. The reason why there is 1 stars and not 5 is because when the powers off they can't fix it for two days or more wich has ruined many days for me locker rooms are a mess on the inline rink too bug I could care less. Played here for a 14U basketball tournament called the Bearcat Classic. Courts were in good shape. Goals were fine as well. Walked through the trampoline and hockey areas to get to basketball. It did appear a couple areas were under construction or needed some updating. A decent place to watch/play a youth basketball game. read more

Unfortunately, it is not possible to give zero stars. This complex, rinks in particular, are poorly maintained, and the restrooms are disgusting. The rink owner is an arrogant, lying jerk. I complained to 3 different "managers" that the women's restrooms needed to be cleaned over the course of 48 hours that we were stuck with this place for a Hockey tournament. I finally spoke with the owner, who assured me that the bathroom was "spotless" first thing that morning. (It was Sunday, 11 am) And, I had just noted the same disgusting lump of brown slime that had been on the floor since the first visit on Friday evening. I don't know if there is a health department complaint process for exceedingly unsanitary public restrooms, but if so, I will report this place. Go at your own risk! I don't even want to know when or if they clean all the equipment surfaces that the kids play on. I would never use them. At least they never actually touch the ice. read more

Ok, new to this reviewing thing, but felt this needed to be reviewed. We decided to go here to ice skate the day before Thanksgiving. We showed up around 7:30pm and public skate was open until 10pm. The place seems a little run down, but we we already bought the tickets on Groupon. There were three kids on the rink when we arrived. We were the only people there and we had four in our family. When we tried to get ice skates, I asked for a size 10. They did not have a single pair of tens when no one was there except the three kids. I asked for a size 11 in hockey skates. Again they came back and said they did not have any hockey skates in that size. They brought me out some old tan leathery figure skates that looked like they were from the 70's. With that being my only choice, I decided to give them a try since we already paid through Groupon. It took about 10 minutes before my feet hurt too much to continue. I went back and asked for a different pair and again was told they do not have any in my size. They informed me that they lost an entire sector of skates when they relocated the skate storage. They seemed to have every other size but the size I needed. I finally asked for a size 12 and stuffed it full of lost and found gloves to try and keep my feet from sliding around inside the skate. On top of that the ice was horrible. Granted it was the day before Thanksgiving and the Zambonie guy might have left early, but the ice did not seem as if it had been smoothed since the day before. So glad we bought the tickets at a discount instead of paying the $20 per person they normally charge. Totally only an ice rink that caters to hockey players and not the general public. read more

For basketball...there are a lot of fights..no control..no fear of suspension because it may be a different set of kids every week with the same jerseys on...kids can play for multiple teams...the prices are different every tournament and can be up to $6 to get in...these are not high profile tournaments. The referees arent very good and some have their own team. Ive seen 3 fights myself and am sure more go on than that. NO CONTROL read more
