I must say I am disappointed, I'm glad I didn't leave a review the first time and waited being that I was using them for my military leave. I've worked with them for a while now, but I feel with this incident only proved my point. They didn't fulfill their promise by providing compassionate care and a trusted professional. My doggie, Benny is known to resource guard his pen, which was communicated and discussed on how to handle it. (So I thought). Each time I was provided by a "trusted" professional they had no experience with small dogs or dogs who resource guard, (per my conversations with each sitter), which per their company they claim to match sitters that work best with each pet. Personally, I feel their sitters are not trained and have no experience with all dogs especially this last sitter Brian. He didn't listen, I was a little uncomfortable due to the fact they placed me with him last minute and didn't tell me the other sitter canceled until days that I had to leave the state (last sitter still has my key card smh), so I had no choice. I get it most of these sitters are doing this for a side hustle and I understand safety b/c I don't want anyone to get hurt. But a sitter with resource guarding experience should have been placed with Benny. Each sitter I have told them about Benny's resource guarding and each time they disregarded what I say and tell them he's too aggressive with his pen, which I have already discussed with them about so I don't understand why these sitters would be placed with us. In addition, when I spoke with you all, I was told after the 2nd or 3rd sitter he was doing that not knowing it until it started getting worse. You stated, "they probably didn't tell you because they didn't want to worry you" No transparency at all, that should have been told to me at the very beginning so it could have been fixed. Upon further review via video, the sitter (Brian) did not have experience and mishandled my baby. Picking him up from his pen knowing I told you how he is with it and him almost getting dropped (knowing I told him how to walk him into his pen, he chose not to listen) followed by him using gloves to handle him, what kind of person does that? This is Benny's first time meeting this man and he is doing that, when you meet anyone you have to give them time to warm up to you, which he did not do. There was no care from that man and Shawna didn't care either when I expressed my feelings. I should make a report for y'all's negligence knowing I'm out of town and y'all can't take care of him. But it's ok. As Shawna stated "we have no sitters" I wonder what she would have done if I didn't have anyone to stop by? Just cruel and complete bs. Do better. If y'all were so trained you should've stepped in to care for my baby but you didn't. I feel I've been loyal and given y'all my hard earned money and this is how y'all treat Benny? I didn't see any aggression when my friend stopped by per the picture. Luckily I had my friend come by and take care of my dog but if it wasn't for her and my faith in God coming through Benny would have been without food, water and a place to relieve himself for a day in a half while I'm out of town. Again Complete bs, never again! The invoice will be paid as soooon as I get back to Charlotte! read more

Queen City Pet Sitting - Pet Sitting Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

My first experience with Queen City Pet Sitting (and actually with any pet sitting company) was excellent. Aaron was timely, communicative, and professional. He sent thorough updates of every visit and lots of photos. My kitty seemed to be well cared for and all was in order upon our return. I will use them again in the future. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Erin at QCP. She took the time to visit us ahead of time to ensure that everything would go smoothly with our two cats needs. When we were on vacation, we got daily updates with photos. She was very responsive and I felt extremely comfortable leaving our cats in her care. I highly recommend this service for all of your pet needs and will definitely use them again. read more

Queen City Petsitting has been a lifesaver for us! They have helped us for a wedding and also, a funeral. We no longer live in Charlotte but have family there. Whenever we visit, we know we have pet care, for all of our pups! read more

Amazing people and very good communication! I've been using these guys about a year now and they treat my dog like their own. Highly recommend. read more

If you are in need of a pet sitting service look no further! After moving to Charlotte in early 2020 we found a cat sitting service and within a few months realize we had made the wrong choice - issues with keeping the same sitter, inconsistent visit timing and even failure to scoop the litter box. We then found Queen City and haven't been happier! We have been using QC Pet Sitting for about 7 months and we've had the same sitter (Alan) throughout who has formed a bond with our cats, is totally reliable and takes fantastic care of them each and every time we are away. I fully trust Alan and appreciate the support/responsiveness we get from the entire team! read more

This company started off professional, but then went downhill fast. They sent an incorrect invoice, which charged me for too many visits. They expect payment prior to the first visit so I emailed and requested an amendment to the invoice. I did not receive a response, therefore, I did not make the payment. I signed up for a 30 min morning visit, a 15 min afternoon visit with a walk, and a 30 min evening visit. Fast forward to day 1 when I checked my CPI notifications. Darlene spent 16 min with them in the morning, 8 min in the afternoon - with clearly no walk- and 12 min for the evening visit. The following day, I went on the live feed on my CPI cameras on the off chance I could see what she was doing. As if Day 1 didn't cause me enough distress, I saw Darlene open our refrigerator and look through it. Next, I saw her on the other side of our kitchen folding what looked like a cloth napkin. She rolled up the napkin and left my home. I contacted her via telephone and confronted her. To her own admission, she "took a knife to cut her turkey and was going to return it." She added that she "didn't think it was a big deal". After calling the police to file a report, Darlene informed me she actually took 2 knives. I spoke to the owner, Stacey Fisher, later in the day. While she was apologetic, she gave the impression that Darlene would remain as an employee, stating that Darlene "Dropped the ball big time and she heard that loud and clear today." I understand businesses can make mistakes with hiring, but the ethics and integrity of this business is overall questionable. read more

I've used QCP for several months now to walk and feed my dog each afternoon because I work long hours. I have used other petsitting services before and am extremely impressed with the reliability and personality of the QCP team. My dog and I met with the dog walker in person prior to handing over a key to my house and immediately felt very comfortable with her - my dog took to her instantly and she asked several questions to learn about my dog and understand our typical afternoon routine. She texts me nearly everyday with updates on my dog and even got him some toys for Christmas - so sweet! Not only does she walk, feed and brush my dog but she also takes my trash to the curb on trash day and brings in any packages delivered that day. One other note - a huge advantage of QCP is that they have many dog walkers so you are not in a bind if your usual dog walker is sick, on vacation, etc. QCP has given me great peace of mind about who is coming into my home and taking care of my dog. I highly recommend them! read more

I have now used this service 3 or 4 times, and they have always been awesome!!! The scheduling service is very easy and the service is affordable!!! I am able to text and see how the dogs are each day and there is always a great detailed list of each days activity sitting on the counter when I get home. Claire has been our pet sitter each time and she has done a great job! I think this is a lot better than taking them to a kennel. The dogs get to stay in their familiar surroundings and you can tell they enjoy it a lot better. They don't come home stressed. I highly recommend Queen City Petsitting to anyone that needs reliable and caring help with their pets!!! read more

Had a person lined up for boarding our dog. Communicated with her at the beginning of the week. A few days prior we asked what time would be a good drop off time. No response. Texted the next day. No response. Day before we texted and called. No response. Horrible to say the least. read more

When I logged in to write a review, I was amazed this service got anything less than 5 stars. When I moved to the Charlotte area, I shopped around for someone to come help take my Great Dane out during the work day for me once a day. I did not need anything fancy- just to have her walked outside to do her business. What I got each day, were pictures texted to me of her outside, getting lots of attention, notes on my counter about their time outside, and one very loved and happy dog! Stacey and her team were always very professional and never once did I worry about the care my dog received. Bottom line- I'd recommend Queen City Pettsitting hands down! In fact, I have to many friends! A+++++ read more

QC Petsitting was the solution to our fear of going out of town. We own two dogs and a cat, and finding a kennel for the dogs was always a huge hassle, not to mention pricey. We always had to find someone to come check on the cat, because she doesn't really like to be handled and moving her to a boarding facility is not really an option. Also, since we live in a "transitional" neighborhood, every trip out of town leaves us on edge worrying about leaving the house unattended. We used QC Petsittting, and were able to kill two birds with one stone. Even with a good dog boarding facility, our dogs are never going to be as happy as they are in their own home. The sitter stayed at our place at night, keeping the dogs company in the house and making us feel better that there is someone there at night. She not only took great care of our pets, she also picked up mail and put the trash out on trash day. We also had her come by during the day to play with the dogs and let them out. When we got back home we had two happy pups and the house the way we left it. We already have sitters lined up through them for our next 4 trips out of town. If you have multiple pets and worry about leaving them and your house alone while on vacation, this is a much better solution than boarding them. I definitely recommend QC Petsitting! read more

We love QCP! We've used their services several times over the years and I've always felt very comfortable knowing that our sitter is looking in on our pets and house. Sitter assignments have usually been based upon home location so when we moved to another area of Charlotte, I was a little nervous that we we had just been lucky with our South Charlotte area sitter, Jessica. Not the case-our North Charlotte sitter, Sarah, has been equally amazing. We get daily text updates and even pictures of our happy cat and dog. We added a Guinea pig to our family and learned that Sarah grew up with cavies so our new fur baby was in good hands. Even our shy kitty comes out to welcome Sarah when she arrives! Stacey and her staff have always been polite, friendly, and quick to communicate. I recommend them to all our friends with fur babies. The rates are competitive and the service options are customizable. We're happy a QCP family! read more

My wife and I have used these guys a few times now, and we have always come away impressed. They also are available on short notice if you find yourself in a bind. In the times we had used them before, we have had Alexis come and take care of our pups. They dogs love her, and I've always been able to be confident they would be taken care of well. This past weekend, we ended up going out of town for the day to help a friend move. I emailed on Thursday for a Saturday appointment, and there were no issues having that accommodated. Alexis wasn't available for the weekend, but Christine stepped in to help, and she was just as awesome. She came by on Friday afternoon to meet our boys, and they couldn't have been happier. Christine then came back by on Saturday to take our boys out and play with them a bit while we were away. She really went over and beyond and spent some time with our boys before heading out. We also got a text update on how they were doing. I won't hesitate to contact QC Pet Sitting again next time around! read more

SO, SO happy I found Queen City Petsitting -- they are amazing!! My husband jokes that I am WAY too overly attached to our two little dogs. I say that they are my babies. I have a high standard for who cares for them, and before moving to Charlotte, the only people who watched our dogs were our immediate family members. Once we were settled in Charlotte, we knew we would have to rely on a petsitting service to help us. It was by some great stroke of luck that I found QCP. (Now I think my pups look forward to when we go on vacation!) From the first time we used QCP, I felt immediately relieved by the amount of detail, care, and love that went into watching our dogs by our petsitter, Jill. She's the best!! We went to Mexico the first time we used QCP, and I received emails from Jill about how our dogs were doing and even an occasional picture! We have now taken several trips (both domestic and abroad) and used QCP for almost 3 years now. I would recommend them to anyone! In addition to emails, Jill has also left us notes to inform us of how they did, and that she really enjoyed watching our dogs. It's great to have a petsitter who is such an animal lover! One note to make also -- our dogs are older in age, with one dog who is very extroverted and dominant, and other dog is very timid and shy (we don't know his background before we adopted him). Thankfully, our dogs love Jill! Because of all this (and my aforementioned attachment to my babies), we don't trust anyone else to watch our dogs. I am so thankful I found QCP! Stacey and Jill are fantastic to work with, and I am so lucky that my husband and I can enjoy our vacations, knowing that our dogs are in such great hands. I recommend them to anyone!! They go above and beyond! read more

What an amazing company! I've been using this company for a few years now and I absolutely love them. They are always quick to respond to a request. The dog walkers always go above and beyond. Whenever my fiancé and I go out of town it is always so comforting to receive pictures from Emily letting us know how our guy is doing. They also have some of the lowest prices in the QC!!!! Absolutely without a doubt recommend this customer service oriented company!!! read more

I used there service once and gave explicit instructions to the pet sitter. After returning from England 5 of my show chickens were found dead in my pool. The sitter informed me she chased my birds trying to catch them! She was instructed not to ever approach the birds before I left for my trip. You cannot depend on any of these services as you really do not know what goes on once you're gone. It's very risky and not recommended. read more

I used Queen City Petsitting several times to watch my dog and never had any problems. The sitters are very friendly and professional and went out of their way to work with my crazy schedule to get oriented to my apartment and dog. My home was always cleaner than when I left it and my dog was always happy when I got home. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends (and already have!). Stacy and the QCP crew are great. read more

Queen City Pet Sitting is amazing! Moving from NYC to Charlotte i did a lot of research trying to find a new pet sitting and dog walking service for my fur baby, Max, and I absolutely love QCP. They are very professional, have great prices and take care of Max as if he was theirs. I 100% recommend this service for anyone looking for either a dog walker or pet sitter over night. read more

This pet sitter is great!! We use them every workday and times we go out of town. Literally the beat in town. Not only do they walk the dogs, but spends time and plays and gives love to the dogs. Recommend to all in Charlotte!! read more

I've tried a few other Petsitting companies in Charlotte and was disappointed with the sitters not following instructions/general lack of customer service from the offices. My cat is my family and I do have high standards. I was referred to Queen City Petsitting from one of their sitters. I was surprised at how quickly James gave me a call back about a week before Thanksgiving. Even more surprised that they could set me up with a petsitter for the holiday even though I wasn't an established client. I explained that I was apprehensive given my previous experiences and how I'd rather not have the "closest" sitter to me, but one that actually likes cats and has experience with cats. James understood how important that was to me and narrowed down of a couple of sitters. Queen City Petsitting doesn't share some of the same policies and procedures as other petsitting companies, but they have provided the best customer service and sitter I have encountered in Charlotte, NC. Angela was assigned as my petsitter. She made sure to take note of what to do/what not to do. She played it safe rather than sorry, which I can appreciate. For instance, even though I'd prefer if my cat, Dakota, could be supervised outside on the patio to eat some grass, Angela said she was not comfortable because what if Dakota got spooked and ran off. A compromise was to open up the door, but leave the screened door closed. I REALLY, REALLY appreciated the free text messages/updates/pictures! :) When she arrived at my home to the smoke alarm/carbon monoxide alarm beeping, she found Dakota hiding and hating the noise (who knows how long it was going off for). She tried to make the noise stop, but when she couldn't she took Dakota to her OWN house until I could make it back to Charlotte later that day. Angela even had to deal with Dakota's full on panic attack when she travels in the pet carrier. Thank you to Queen City Petsitting and Angela for taking such great care of Dakota!!!! read more

I have had great experiences with Queen City Petsitting! My sitter was very conscientious and cared for my dog and cat on multiple occasions. My cat is not the most social but my sitter took the time to try to connect with her, which was so sweet. She made sure to send me text messages to include photos to let me know how my pets were doing while I was away. Would definitely recommend them! read more

I don't trust just anyone with my senior "babies," but i've been pleased with the service that Queen City has provided. They understand that my babies need a short walk followed by some serious couch time. When momma comes home and there's no one waiting for me at the door (and nothing destroyed), I know that they've gotten their lovin'. Happy dachshunds = Happy momma. Thank you, Queen City! read more

My Petsitter, Christina, was wonderful, she arrived on time for out first meeting and took notes as I showed her around. My cat loved her! I have a hard time leaving my cat at home for more than a few days alone, but Christina gave me the peace of mind every night when she sent me pictures and videos of my guy playing with her. She took the mail in everyday and even watered the plants. I'm so pleased with your service and highly recommend your company to friends and family. Thank you! read more

Queen City Pet Sitting was referred to me by my neighbor. They have been great to work with! My sitter, Allison, has been easy to reach, quick to respond and flexible, even on short notice. Queen City Petsitting has been so wonderful to me and my cat Lucky. Marlee has been so sweet to him and we sure appreciate it! Stacey is so great even with last minute requests on holiday weekends!!! She found someone to sub for Marlee who was away and it worked out great! I cannot say more about how friendly, courteous and prompt they are with my reservations! It has been a life saver for me! Considering I moved to Charlotte this past summer. We travel periodically so this has been a great help! Thanks QC Petsitting!!! Lucky says Meow thank you Meow! read more

As my first pet sitting company, I am very satisfied with this one. The very first pet sitter we was not always available and the company made sure to find someone else to cover. I never had to initiate anything and they are always easy to communicate with. What's impressed me the most is how each Petsitter encourages meeting the owner and the pet before a scheduled day. I'm very appreciative of that. There is no need for another company for me! read more

I just had my first experience with QC pet sitting because I adopted a kitten and then had to go out of town for work the next week (of course!). Stacey and her team had good communication beforehand, and David, my sitter came over before I left to get a lay of the land. He asked questions I hadn't thought to address (do you keep your cat's wet food in the fridge or in the pantry, etc) and really seemed to like Gregory. David texted me photos of Gregory every day with updates about him to make sure I knew where everything stood, and he left the key in my hiding place upon his departure the last day. QC was a recommendation of a friend who had used them and had a great experience, and I would definitely use them again! read more

Queen City Petsitting is fantastic! Kevin comes every day to take my puppy for a walk while I'm at work and I can rest easy knowing that my baby is in great hands! Kevin is flexible and you can really tell that he is an animal lover. Each day I check on the dog to make sure everything went well and I'm always happy with the response. I immediately felt comfortable with Queen City Petsitting when they suggested a meeting with me before we decided to move forward. The one day Kevin was sick Karin drove to my apartment to meet my baby and to make sure I felt comfortable with a new dog walker. If anyone can't be with their pets all of the time Queen City is a fantastic solution, I wouldn't leave my dog in the hands of someone that didn't care and I know that Kevin and Queen City truly care about him! read more

Wonderful!!! I have used QCP several times to watch my 2 cats when I go out of town. My husband & I have been very pleased with the reliability & friendliness of everyone at QCP! We just got married a few weeks ago & were gone for 3 weeks total. Not once were we worried or wondering if Oliver & Sadie were being taken good care of, we knew they were! The sitter would text & email us pictures & videos of our babies. They are very professional & like to meet in person, at least for the first-time visit. I have already recommended QCP to several people! Very, very pleased!!! read more

I have used Queen City Pet sitting to walk my dog Winnie on a daily basis during weeks that no one was available to take her out for several hours, and on a once a week basis on those extra long work days. Our petsitter/dogwalker is Brittany. Brittany is kind, caring, and so reliable. She will send a text message after every walk to let me know how the walk went. I believe she genuinely loves our Winnie, and I know Winnie is in expert hands. Winnie loves her walks, and the daily excursions really help keep her from getting depressed when my daughter is out of town. This is a great service, reasonably priced, and Brittany is THE BEST! read more

We absolutely love QCP! We have been using their services for a few years now and are absolutely never disappointed. Stacey and her team are super responsive and all of the sitters are great to work with! Each sitter has been on time and happy to send updates and pictures of our pets! Queen City Petsitting has made our busy lives so much easier now that we have several pet sitters on speed dial! We've been using QCP for several years now for our two cats, Rza and Keeneland and every experience we've had has been amazing. Rza has a heart condition and is on meds twice a day so we need make sure he has reliable care around the clock. Before we found them we relied on family members to watch our babies and give him his meds but now our pet sitters have become part of the family. We are so thankful for Lauren, Katie, and Kevin and the excellent care they've provided over the years. One time, Rza got really sick when we were on vacation and without blinking Kevin took him to the emergency vet and made sure to stay with him as long as was needed before he was well enough to come home. Kevin didn't even ask to be compensated for all the extra tIme he spent that night. Often times we have to leave town last minute and will call the office less than 24 hours before we need to leave and James or Stacey never fail to ensure someone will be there for the cats. Thank you QCP! Keep up the great service! read more

Let me just start by saying that my boyfriend and I adore our shepherd mix rescue, Bruce. He is spoiled rotten and loved to pieces. For almost two years we never needed to have arrangements for walkers as we could always work our schedules out. Skip ahead to this year when, to our dismay, our busy and abnormal work schedules would make it to where our pup would be alone 13 hours without us. Far too long in our opinions for our "child". This is when we began researching the Charlotte area for work-time walking options. We found Queen City Petsitting and thoroughly read their website and reviews. We then reached out after getting a great first impression that far surpassed other agencies. The response was prompt, kind, and informative. All with the reassurance and promise that they would assist us in finding the perfect match for Bruce. We had almost immediate contact with our walker, Anthony! Upon meet and greet Bruce loved Anthony! Licks and tail wags galore. It's been nearly two months since Anthony has been in our lives, walking Bruce, dealing with our odd schedules, our neediness, and being attentive to needs such as Bruce's luxating patella and his sensitive persona. Anthony will also send pictures occasionally and brings packages in so they don't stay out when we're gone. We love Anthony and we love how professional this agency is! They are organized and on top of everything. Even Stacey, the owner, will personally contact you on several occasions to ensure quality care and will alert you if any account issues or occasional situational changes come up, etc. You can tell this agency is operated with genuine passion for pets and the owners as well. Love it and would recommend to anyone on the search! We all know that as pet owners we are never 100% okay with being separated from our animals, especially to the point that you need assistance, but Queen City Petsitting definitely helps ease that nervousness and strives for excellence...and succeeds. read more

Queen City Petsitting has been a life saver! I have used Queen City Petsitting for years. Additionally, I recently started using Queen City for daily lunch time walks since May 14, 2014. I have also used Queen City on numerous weekend when we've been out of town. Our petsitter Heather gives our two dogs the royal treatment. This is saying a lot considering our dogs are challenging and are not comfortable with most people. Our dogs can be timid but also aggressive. I love them but they are both very challenging. Before I called Queen City I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find anyone my dogs were comfortable with or even worse, that I wouldn't find anyone willing to take on the job. Heather leaves me detailed notes everyday. Heather also sends me text messages of her and my dogs. It is clear from the pictures as well as from the way I've seen them interact with her that they love her. Additionally, two weeks ago when one of my dogs wasn't eating when we were out of town Heather brought over wet food from her house after checking with me. Heather also brought over her radio and played it for the dogs on two weekends we were gone to out them at ease. Further, Heather consistently spends more time with the dogs than what I am paying for. I know this because I can see the time stamps from my home security system. Heather is very professional and genuinely cares for my dogs. Additionally, Queen City and Heather have been able to accommodate special requests and changing instructions. For example, on days when our cleaning lady is coming she'll crate the dogs before she leaves. My husband and I work a lot and our dogs are our children so it means a lot to is that we know they're in good hands and still getting the attention they deserve. I'm also very particular about my home and Queen City has been accommodating with that as well. Also, Heather brings in packages for us and even gives me a heads up if something looks out of place, for example a bedroom door that is normally shut being found open with the light on. Heather even supervises my dogs while they eat to make sure they don't get into arguments AND she cleans their bowls. This is a great company for people like me who adore their dogs and expect a lot from a dog sitter or dog walker. read more

I would never use these people ever again when visiting the charlotte area. They are rude and their communication levels are unprofessional. Tried to pay them several times by calling bc their website payment plan wouldn't hold up. They never returned my phone calls till months later after I had terminated their services when they noticed the debt. Not very responsible and also made very difficult to keep up my end of the contract. I also found them to be way over priced and not compensating their employees appropriately for all the hard work that they do. If I were you I would find better business people. read more

Horrible service! Owner never pays her sitters on time. She also hasn't ever met her pet sitters that she has hired.

I was really excited about using this service and went ahead and scheduled, completed the consult (sitter was good) and even pre-paid as they instructed. However, I had to cancel (one week prior to the event). The sitter was good at responding but I've written two emails to the owner and no response. They were good to send me the invoice but can't get them to respond when I need a refund. Disappointing. read more
