A happening place just steps from beautiful public spaces and historic buildings. The piazza del Ponte Russo, the Ponte Curto, two palazzos (Carciotti and Gopcevich), the Sant'Antonio Nuovo and the Serb - Orthodox Temple of Holy Trinity and Saint Spyridon churches are all worth a stroll. Stop in for a bite to rest your feet and people-watch.
Two floors, a big screen TV, nice lounging areas for small groups, and a popular outdoor seating area. The indoor seating was clean, attractive and recently upholstered. Don't think of sitting outdoors unless you're a smoker too. Our server was super hospitable and found us something to eat even though we had arrived prior to dinner time (7:30 pm). Apparently only drinking occurs in the late afternoon in Trieste, because we couldn't find any downtown restaurants serving dinner at the time most Americans want to eat their evening meal. read more
